I was thinking of making an evil guy for the purposes of serving as a villain... Or did you already have a villain in mind?

I'm taking a shot in the dark here, but I'm guessing the CEO guy is the big bad. He fits the requirements pretty well.
Well I'll have to insist, because realistically even though I'm slightly interested, I've decided I'll opt out from joining for multiple reasons. So you can try for the spot in my stead.

We just need a decklist and you're ready to go. On that note, we now have 16 characters total once Clark is accepted. This means that any additional CSes won't be dueling in the tournament, but there's no reason they can't do other things in the stadium. Besides, sometimes being a spectator has its own benefits, and there's no way the entire plot of the RP will be over after one silly tournament. In the meantime, here's a very-WIP fourth CS from me, since one of my characters will be leaving the RP early in and won't be back for quite a while.

Aha! Good thing I wasn't planning on being in the tournament, I was planning to just be casual spectator for the meantime. Works with my character.

I'm sceptical on the idea of Pendulum monsters, they sound fine in theory, however I haven't seen them being played yet and, as stated before, Bandai are only making cards for competitive play... Plus, as with all new card types, they are probably horribly under playtested, so there's probably a million different ways to exploit the shit out of them.Plus, since none of them have actually been printed in English yet, I'd probably say we should stay away from that for the moment, because, as of writing this, how they work compared to the other decktypes is guesswork.I vote that we keep Pendulums out of this until we know more about them.

I've played with them before online, they can be a bit ridiculous if you get the setups but I'm planning on avoiding that by giving them summon costs and the like. Another thing is that they're absolutely crazy with Synchros since they can be reused over and over, so I plan on having most, if not all, of my extra deck monsters be Xyz. Also side note, Bandai doesn't make cards anymore, it's Konami. They've kicked Bandai to the curve a long time ago.

You sir are amazing I've just started playing Vanguard and have been itching to try Buddyfight.

Yeye I've been playing Vanguard for 2 years so far, and I got into Buddyfight when it came out because I played the demo of it at Worlds last year. Both are fun games, and Buddyfight reminds me a lot of Vanguard, except with balance. (Going to play a Dark hole? Have to pay 1 of your resources and your monsters can't attack, plus there are at max going to be 3 monsters on the field, but usually it's 2, so you're not killing as much as a Dark Hole would. Good stuff.)

Keyblade I recommend against Buddyfight. MY friends and I tried it and we gave up instantly cause the power creep was too high.

That's wierd, there can't really be any power creep because we're only on set 2 :v. However if you mean like how fast the games go, it was design that way because it was made for kids. Protip, Impacts are bad if you make a good deck.

Also Vanguard is entering a ridiculousness phase of CHAOS BREAKER AND NOUVELLEE AHHHHH-. So that should be silly.

Anyways, I'm going to work on my CS in a bit. Might be up in a few hours, if not way later because I have dinner plans to attend to, so if that happens before hand I'll probably have the CS later tonight.
Gumshoe can have the Black Tortoise spot if that's cool with you guys.
Oh hey, you guys are trying for another YGO RP. Hopefully it doesn't die like the last time, that was a bit of a bummer and kept me from applying.

Buuut you guys seem a lot more active now in this new one. So I'm like, 50/50 on wanting to join, but I wanted to use a self-made Pendulum archetype. Just because I like the idea of Pendulums as a new mechanic, and think they're pretty rad. The thing I'm wondering is, am I allowed to use this self-made Pendulum archetype? If so, that might just seal the deal.

Edit - I forgot, before people flip the lid and go "OH GOD PENDULUMS NOOOOOPE" I come from games such as Buddyfight and Vanguard, so I lean more towards the balance side of things, as in cards should have costs before being played/activating effects. Basically what I was thinking for this Pendulum archetype is to be something of a reckless deck, at least in YGO standards. I pay life points when I summon most of my monsters and/or pay life points for their effects, and than I had the idea of something such as a monster that mills the top, I dunno, 3 cards of my deck, and get +300 life points for each X-type milled. Stuff like that. Gives a reckless vibe of "I'm either going to kill myself by burning myself to death, or decking myself out".

Think turbomilling Lightray-Lightsworns mixed with that Gishki ritual 4000k monster that pays 1000 life points to draw and kill a card. Except instead of milling my deck to special summon huge monsters like JD, I'm milling my deck to gain more life to keep up with paying the cost for the self-life burn. Most of the monsters being Pendulums is to represent the never-give-up reckless idea, while allowing me to focus on level 5-7 monsters that will have large life point costs to activate certain effects/large milling costs to you know, as I said, keep up with the giving up life points idea.
Why not take it to Advance if peeps don't like the whole TL;DR openings? I mean, I think they love the hugemclarge posts over there. Also stay active I think, or at least from what I've seen from lurking that area.
Gosh, I feel so bad that you put so much work into this and nobody has said anything yet. It looks A-class too.

I wasn't planning on joining, mainly because I didn't understand the idea behind it besides it being Air Gear mixed with Flying Whales. But I'll re-read the opening and might give making a character a shot.
I came from the False Dichotomy thread and kinda wanted to join, saw it was turned into this and I still kinda want to join, but you're already playing the part of the last roll OP and I don't really want to come in and kick you from your spot, you know?

Like, if I did take that last spot, what character would you be? Unless you're planning to like, become Kouryuu.
So I've been silently lurking this thread, and it's come to my attention a lot of people are digging this idea. How do you plan on handling the mass influx of people who want to join? Are there going to be little chapters, with people pairing off into groups, and than a new chapter beginning as groups intertwine or split, coming together with new people to form new groups?

Just curios on how you will handle it all, along with a main central plot. I know (or think I do) that this plans on being a free for all RP, although some way to connect everyone would be wise. Of course we can't do a space ship crew unless we all eventually journey into space and this would become mass effect the sequel (Which I personally don't mind, I love mass effect, but besides the point) but some sort of central point would be nice. Maybe a company that rules a majority of the world screws everyone over, and we each have a common goal to fight back or something.

Anyways, just my two cents. I probably missed some plot points or what have you in the earlier pages, or you already have everything planned. Just curious what it is, without revealing too much.

Just wondering if who is taking the next post.

Oh okay. I haven't even made a CS yet, although I do have an idea for new Xyz monsters based on some of my more favorite units before I quit the game.

I'll probably get on that when I finish my stacks of homework.
