Relatively short post, but I just wanted to finally get something up. :P

You guys still alive?
Roland stumbled into what could be considered his office, the med-bay. The beds remained neat and untouched by disturbances and the equipment on every side lay dormant. His desk sat with scattered datapads and the occasional paper that housed the team’s account information and budget, as well as a few medical books and the occasional novel. Compared to his threadbare room, this place felt more of home.

Still grasping his head, he walked over to the crowded desk (only tripping on his own two feet once) and nearly collapsed from his feet to the chair; still adjusted to the highest position due to some earlier, childish decisions he had made. Fixing it, he proceeded to think about how to handle his current dilemma. He had no actual medical knowledge to go on besides the many uses and benefits of medi-gel. And that’s how the medic would have solved this problem were it not for the loose amp in his skull. Despite the miracle cure being able to set bone and fix even the most sensitive of injuries, the last thing Roland wanted was for the amp to be stuck because his solution “healed” the spot where it was supposed to go.

So, the question was for him: What the hell am I supposed to do until we reach the Citadel? The rest of the team, he had assumed, were getting ready to board the distressed ship, and he was simply in his office trying to preoccupy himself… It made him feel rather pathetic in comparison. Well, he had thought, trying to steer himself away from his usual negativity, “I could always start watching those movies…” It had been an idea that had hit him while tied up and while Kygg and Tzvi had started to beat down on those guards. It was likely to help him in the long run, and the generally low budget effects meant the flashing that would aggravate his concussion even further would be kept to a minimum. “Heh,” he said standing up to head for the lounge, “I wonder what the team would say if they came back to me watching old kung-fu movies…”
So I know this is getting repetitive, but sorry for not having posted by now! Some shit has been going on in my life (so naturally it's been hard for me to sit down to write as extensively as I think this RP deserves) and I'll be taking a few days to try and figure stuff out... Roland's already on the back-burner so feel free to ignore him until I can get the sense to write back; I'll still be around, just not posting.
Sorry again! :)

Out of la curiousity, how are the collabs for everyone other than emo-darkness-trio and raging-lesbian duo going?

Out of curiosity, does this mean there are updates on the other two?
I would like to know how things are progressing too since I've been done for four days~ :3
I have to jump on the bandwagon an vote World Wide Web Woes. Both entries are good, but the style and humor of Web Woes is more appealing than what I found in Universal Chain which, while appealing to me in tone, was confusing and slightly rambling.
The birds were chirping, the trees rustled slightly with the tinniest of forces, and the sun glittered wherever there was not a branch overhead to stop it. It was... peaceful, almost as it always was for him.

"Albie, come on!" his mother ushered ahead as she continued even further away from the boy. They were carrying small rucksacks of food, a blanket, and an electrical lantern for if it got dark out later. It wasn't much of a load, but for an eight year old and and his petite mother, it weighed down on them without relief. Or rather, it weighed him down without relief; his mother was bustling about as if it were the first day of boot camp for him. "You slowpoke!" she called once more before disappearing within the brush.

"M-mom! Wa-wait for me!" Albert huffed as he began to trot after her. "Mom?" He was poking in the spot where she had disappeared... yet there were no signs of her. "Mooooooom, this isn't funny..." he moaned, unsure if she was coming back for him. "Alllllbiiiiiie!" her voice finally echoed from the complete opposite direction from where he had been looking. He turned, and could almost make out a human figure rustling about in the tall grasses further ahead. He rushed forward only to burst out into the picturesque scene that his mother had found.

There was a lake, perfectly and unnaturally round as a circle. The water was motionless and not even a buzzing dragonfly dared disturb the pristine surface. It stretched out as far as Albert could see, but at the other end, there was simply sky and cloud unlike the immensely treed forest from which he just emerged from. "Wow~" he gawked as his eyes sparkled with the sight. "Could we see what's at the other side of the lake? Huh, can we mommy?" He turned to her, his face full of expectation. His mother just smirked at him before billowing the blanket in the air before lying it spread out on the ground. "Of course not, sweetie," she answered, her smile still taking up her face. "We'd fall off if we did."

The sun was beginning to set. It was evening, but had it been that long? It hadn't felt as if it were that long since they had got there. The two had set up the picnic area where they would be eating when his father arrived -- Mom never did explain how he knows where we are... Albert had thought to himself -- and had been playing in the immense pool of water after stripping down to their under garments, and both had been careful not to stray too far from the edge. His mother had retired herself to the shore, content with watching her little boy splash about while she soaked her legs an drifted one hand along the top of the mirror-like surface. Albert was busy seeing how long he could hold his breath before having to return to the surface. Thirty-seven seconds had been his record so far.

The sun had dipped about halfway past the water's edge before his father had finally arrived. "Daddy!" Albert had called as he wadded through the water to get out and hug his father. "Ugh, you're wet!" his feigned disgust didn't last long before both of the two had broken down in laughter. "Come on, kiddo, I'm starved and want to see what your mother has made for us to eat."

Now I'm reading your sig with a British accent Terry.

Me too, Terry.
EDIT: Sniped.
What was interesting was that this established fact had me narrating all character speech in said accent. I think I even started writing Roland with one before the reboot. :V

SB post up, since I've got nothing better to do with Kosso right now, and I just had this idea of what Kosso does in his free time.

...You're serious, aren't you? That's just great. Why do we even need SB video feeds when Kosso just includes the audio in his tracks? xD

Also! I tried getting something up, but my computer crashed and Lazarus decided it wanted to go kerput, so I'll try writing again, but it's depressing as hell to see that work go down the drain. :(

Small thing in post. Probably'll need editing either way.
