Clarity ducked and weaved between treetops, keeping her eyes open for a meal. Her stomach growled in protest once again, and Clarity decided she'd growl back.
I'm working on it! She mentally berated her stomach as she tilted her wings upward to dodge a tree top. She kept searching, growing ever more annoyed and desperate to find SOMETHING until she spotted a single bright red and delicious apple on a tree just outside of her vision range. That was her apple. She wanted that apple and it was hers. She grew a look of determination and she picked up speed, parting leaves in her way with the sheer force of the wind she was putting off. Caterpie, Pidgys and other tree dwellers protested as she disturbed their nests.
Mine mine mine mine mine...!

A Raticate scuttles around the forests floor, his nose twitching as his powerful sense of smell leads him to food. He was storing up food for his family; he already had quite a lot, but you never know when one of his tykes was going to want to eat. Suddenly a bright red apple grabbed his attention. It was the largest, most plump apple he had ever seen! He scuttled up the tree using his sharp claws. It took him a while to ascend such a large tree, but he eventually reached the top and cut the apple off the stem with a single bit of his razor sharp fangs. He held the apple high in the air triumphantly... until his ears twitched from the sound of a the shaking of trees and the annoyed chirping of birds. He didn't have time to react before a black blur was upon him.

============================

"YOINK!" Clair called as she used her hind legs to pluck it out of the raticate's hands. She landed on the forest floor and bit the apple in half with a single bite, thankful for it's tastiness. To say the raticate was furious would be an understatement. Clarity paid his complaints no attention at all as she chewed on her meal. Suddenly the raticate did a loud shout, and Clairity's ears perked straight up as she heard the rustling of grass. Dozens of Ratata formed a circle around her as the Raticate leaped from the tree and landed in front of her, blocking the clearing out of the tree canopy. She gulped down the piece of apple in her mouth fearfully.

Clair took off into the deeper thicket of the forest with half an apple sticking out of her mouth as a pack of ratata being lead by the raticate was right on her tail. Normally she'd be faster, but there were too many trees. One Ratata nipped her tail, but she quickly shook him it off. The forest was in a complete uproar; Bird pokemon flew from the trees in a panic. Well, so much for being undetected. She reckoned pokemon from miles around could sense the commotion.
Hey Crimson. Are you still about? I can wait if I need to, but I'm wondering if you're still breathing mate.
Don't worry about it. Just try not to eat too much cake while you're there.
Will there be room for subplots or points where other people in the RP can have their own ideas for stuff going down? I have a few ideas of things I'd like to try, but I'm willing to wait until it's appropriate.
Shamus had just gotten back to his med bay before the conversation blared over the intercom. Shamus chose to sit down and listen , as this was the first conflict he had ever been involved in. He listened intently to the voice of the man the captain was speaking to.. and he couldn't describe the tone of voice as anything other then cold. He wondered what a human being, a usually friendly and highly curious race, would have to be put through in order to become the monster he now listened to put a shiver down his spine.. hypothetically. Shuunai were almost always united towards a common goal, and the idea that humans had thousands of different creeds and often fought amongst themselves was hard for him to grasp.

With that over Shamus decided to get mobile, unsure if his services were to be needed in combat. Whatever the captain wanted from Shamus, he would do it. He loaded himself with his emergency medical equipment and slipped on the thin armor plating for protection. The captain said to bring heavy armor, but anything heavier and he wouldn't be able to regenerate properly. Shuunai were a tough race to kill anyways. He made sure to include bandages and anything else he would need before making his way out. Shamus for the first time in weeks pulled out his standard issue pistol and looked it over, inspecting it like he was trained. He had no intention of firing it if he could avoid it, but there was no telling what could happen. He pocketed the device and continued moving towards the hangar, doing his best not to stand in the way of other crew members who appeared to be occupied with their other duties. Shamus soon appeared in the hangar, unsure if this was were he was supposed to be but willing to assist in any way he possibly could.
Clarity was soaring through the air like she loved. The night was nice and dark; a calm and relaxing moon shone in the distance. This was where a noivern was at home. Everything was perfectly in order... until she felt something rustle in her ears. She stopped in midair and lifted her considerably large ears up, listening for a disturbance. It sounded like a roar. It was getting closer. But despite her excellent hearing, she couldn't tell where the noise was coming from. She flew as fast as she could; Noivern were some of the fastest dragons around. But it still got closer. Steadily.. ever more steadily. She darted into a cloud in an attempt to hide herself, but that turned out to be a mistake. Suddenly she could spot an orange light piercing the clouds, and bright red eyes. She heard the roar one last time before she-

Clarity jolted awake and immediately fired a dragon breath. The stone that made contact with her blue flame began to turn bright and orange from the heat. She didn't stop until her lungs forced her to stop. She curled up into a ball by covering her body in her considerably large wings. She was hanging upside down within a dark cavern.. if you didn't know better you would swear she was a ceiling ornament. Some more muffled whimpers could be heard before she growled in rage and fired another dragon breath. She was very frustrated with herself. She was a baby! A wimp! What kind of dragon has little hatch-ling nightmares like this!? Her despair quickly turned into frustrated anger, and anger that could only be interrupted by the grumbling of her stomach. She smacked herself in the face with her wings a few times and made her first rational decision since getting up. She needed to get out and get something to eat. She unhooked herself from the ceiling with her claws and soared towards the cave entrance.

She stuck her head outside and was met immediately with a blinding bright light. With a deep throaty growl she did the best she could at ignoring the obnoxious light and leaped out of her cavern. Her eyes and ears were perked as she soared over the forest. The town was further south, and while she was sure they had food she didn't feel comfortable asking for it. She could hunt for it, but she doubted that she'd find anything fulfilling even if she could bring herself to eat another pokemon. I guess that left Clarity with only one choice.. berries for breakfast today. And supper. And dinner. She hated the thought. Clair continued her search, doing her best to keep low and not draw too much attention to herself.
Name: Noivern

Nickname (if applicable): Clarity/Clair

Gender: Female

Appearance: Noivern
Other then the usual look to a noiver, Clarity has a small piece of her left ear missing (seemingly from a bite mark) and claw marks down her back which is obscured by her fur.

Moves: Dragon Breath, Air Cutter, Steel Wing, Moonlight

Personality: Clair is a very calm person. She is usually good at keeping her cool under pressure, it can take a lot of stress to break her guise of cool confidence. Clair is flighty and evasive. She will usually try her best to act aloof, to pretend as if her loyalties don't lie anywhere, but deep down she is the motherly type. She'll often push people away because she has had intimacy problems in the past and sees this as some of way avoiding heartache. The best way to appeal to her protective side is to have a child or someone young involved.

Brief History: Clarity comes from a place beyond the mountains that many dragon types reside in. She did what many of them thing; trying to stay alive while at the same time looking for a nest mate. However, she had a nasty run in with a powerful Salamence that had nearly killed her, so she fled to the area of the guild, healing her wounds and building her strength. But she is always, in the back of her mind, terrified that some day that Salamence may return.

Character Quirk: Like all Noivern Clair is nocturnal. To some it would appear like she never sleeps at all, since she is active during day and night. She is just the queen of power napping. She can squeeze a day's worth of rest into 30 minutes if she must. If you can't find her somewhere during the day, that is probably because she's nestled somewhere dark and resting. If you want to make her grumpy the easiest way to do it is to wake her up without a good reason.

Guild Membership: No / Pending (I want to wait on Clarity joining in for a little while)
"I completely understand Astra, and your requests are reasonable. This should be enough information for this trip. These seem like strange precautions to me, but then again our race is still recovering from the first time we've encountered alien life. We were unfortunate enough to meet the Rahq first." He shuddered at the thought. He pulled out a notepad and quickly began writing. He tore a slip off and handed it to Astra.

"This would be the first time in history a Faira and a Shuunai conversed, would it not? That's a historic feat that I could never have hoped to be a part of. This slip of paper contains the coordinates to our home world, and information to contact our government. I'm no longer affiliated due to my exile, but I'm sure they'd love to talk. The air space around our planet contains vaxir and humans, but it is free for anyone who would wish to enter so long as they are not affiliated with the Rahq government. Some day our races may be able to join as allies. When the Faira are ready for it." Shamus got up and made his way to the doorway.

"I have some responsibilities to take care of. I'm sure you do as well. We will speak again Astra. Have a pleasant trip." He did his usual nod before making his way out of the science lab and back towards his own med bay. Shamus felt like he already accomplished a lot on this journey. If this was all he got out of the entire trip, it would have been worth his time.
Shamus was pleased to be welcomed in by Astra as he approached her lab. Was she expecting him? Either way, it was a good first impression of the faira. He stepped into the science lab and took a moment to look around before sitting down as he was invited to. Most of the equipment in here was far too advanced for his own expertise.

"Good evening Astra of the Faira. I am Sham-Usfari of the Shuunai, or Shamus as I prefer to be called outside of my home planet. I will be the chief of medical staff while we are on this journey, and as you probably know that means that it is my responsibility to look after the health and well being of all of those aboard." He took a moment of pause to pull out a small tablet device out of his lab coat. He pressed the button and various awards appeared, such as his graduation certificates and his oath to medicine.
"I was going through the medical profiles of the crew. I took note of things like medical conditions, allergies, and other important information for keeping everyone healthy. But your medical profile was barren save for your name. You must understand that this information is important for me to do my job. If it is an issue of the system simply failing to collect the data we can sort this out quickly. But-" Shamus did a brief pause and looked at Astra from the corner of his eye.
" -If this is an issue of trust, then I have to ask what I would have to do in order to earn the trust of yourself and the Faira."
I'm just going to wait for Forsythe's character to settle in before Shamus barges in to play 20 questions.
