Abilities

HEALING: can heal many types of wounds and illnesses, although not all

ELEMENTAL MAGIC:
Spirit- allows her to leave her body during sleep and explore the spiritual realm, gives her an intuition about things when awake
Air- allows her to use her wand to heal birds, can cause fragrances to enter and leave a room, and move the direction of a gust of wind
Water- allows her to move/manipulate water if it is present but never as a weapon
Earth- she has the best green thumb ever, can move small stones without touching them, and can cause a drizzle
Fire- only used in rituals with candles, used in healing, purification, sex, and breaking bad habit spells, and if she gets angry the room will slowly get warmer

Weapon of choice: Magic (she carries a hip bag containing various common healing herbs, oils, roots, etc. ; an athame (ritual knife) ; an ivory wand ; a pentacle necklace ; a small copper chalice ; Book of Shadows ; triple moon bracelet)

Personality: Keela is very caring and nurturing. She often becomes the ‘mother’ of any group she becomes a part of. She is fun loving and optimistic, almost always having a smile on her face. She is serious when needed however, patient, and calm under pressure. She also has a sixth sense of when something is wrong.



Short bio: Keela grew up in a small cottage in the woods of Exmoor in England. She was raised without a father, but grew up under her mother’s direction. Her mother was also a Wiccan, teaching Keela everything she knew. However, Keela’s mother was not a witch. She had no special abilities beyond the herbs and remedies she used. Keela can only assume her father had some sort of magic in his veins and she inherited some that compliments the Wicca her mother brought her up in. Keela’s favorite past times have been and will always be creating herbal remedies, cooking, hiding in the forest when she doesn’t want to be found, gardening, and playing the flute and piccolo. When she wasn’t doing those things though she was helping her mother heal people who came from the surrounding areas to her when traditional medicine failed them. And here in this wild terrain, Keela and her mother lived peacefully, coexisting with nature. Until the humans found them. They were considered a threat to their everyday way of life and attacked. Keela made it out but her mother, well, she has no idea. Keela fled to the Island of Ruins, just wanting to live in peace with others and nature.

Ellie tilted her head as the girl showed her her wings, nodding as she understood, but still couldn’t imagine not wanting to be wet. If she could she would be in the bath right now. But nonetheless, not everyone could be like her. Ellie raised an eyebrow as the girl went all sentimental, saying no one ever helped her. I care so much Ellie thought sarcastically to herself, wondering why the girl hadn’t started unpacking her bag for her yet. Sure men were stupider, but at least they didn’t talk much and just used their hands. ”Okay so… let’s unpack this then?” Ellie said, unzipping her bag. She was too uncomfortable with any emotion besides hate and anger to care to ask the girl if she was alright. Ellie was kind of heartless in more ways than one.
When she’d finally gotten everything in its place and unpacked, Ellie sighed, running her fingers through her now dry hair, that had waved from getting wet. ”Well, I’m going to go see where everyone else is…” Ellie mentioned, not inviting the other girl but not barring her from coming with her either. Ellie just wasn’t sure why anyone would want to be around her to begin with.

Personality: Rose prefers to keep herself mysterious. She hardly ever speaks unless spoken to or if she feels she has something especially important to say. And when she does speak it is often in a sarcastic tone. Though she comes off emotionless at times, she can be very funny and relatable. She internalizes most of her thoughts and emotions, but showing hope and calm in dire situations. If she does find the extra time, she is usually spending it studying. She enjoys quiet meditation and is very secretive about her past. Serious and cautious to trust others, she keeps a cool head in order to make decisions with her mind and not emotions. She holds grudges easily and loses her temper in rare occasions, and when she does get close to others, she is loyal and will defend them to the end, risking her own life to protect. In her mind, things tend to be very black and white, and why get upset over things you can’t change? She can come across callous, but cares and speaks to others as if trivial things don’t matter in order to convince herself they don’t.

Short History: Rosie Thatch’s mother died during childbirth, leaving her father a broken man, despite now having a lovely little daughter. He had a gambling and drinking issue prior to the birth, but after losing his wife, he spiraled into depression. He left his daughter with his mother, not able to care for an infant in his condition. He eventually got in too deep, whacked by some men he shouldn’t have borrowed from, a night when he was stumbling drunk for the local bar. Rosie was aware of all this, as her grandmother would often complain that it was Rosie’s fault her son was this way. It was Rosie’s fault her mother died. Rose, instead of acting out, drew into herself and became quiet. Her grandmother tried to use violence against her almost every day, but Rose was too quick for her. She also developed a drug habit around the age of 12, finding which ones cleared her mind to allow meditation and peace for her. She never got caught, again using her wits and stealth to escape. She’s very sneaky without being proud of it. If you asked her class, even the students she’s been in school with since elementary school who she was as a teen, they would ask “Who?” or maybe say “Oh the quiet red head?” at best. She has trouble making friends but enjoys social company on the rare occasion. At least it would be a break from her grandmother.
