Seamus continued walking, glancing around now and again to take in his surroundings. He wondered if he was near any truly populous city, or if he was somewhere like the countryside of Wyoming that could stretch on forever. Of course, that was just a stereotype, but it’s not like he’d ever been to Wyoming to dismiss it. Or any state for that matter. He knew all about the US and other countries, he could prattle off facts all day. But it was a laboratory type of knowledge. Nothing with meat.

He was thinking to himself when he suddenly felt like he was being watched. After being watched on the daily for so many years, one kind of got used to the feeling, but still recognized it when it was there. Frowning, Seamus lifted his head in a very bird like fashion, twisting his gaze this way and that until he spotted some legs dangling down. Following their lines upwards, he saw two girls sitting in the shadows on a wall almost right above him. His frown lifted and he tilted his head in a curious way that let his hair fall out of his vision.

”Um, hello…” he said, his first words ever spoken to someone who wasn’t a scientist, nurse, or doctor. That was how people greeted each other out here too wasn’t it? Perhaps. He’d have to wing it nonetheless.

Eva - home

Eva woke up to the sun piercing through the thin curtains of her room, falling onto the bed and hitting her face. She let out a soft groan, never a morning person, and stretched across the bed. ”Tony?” she mumbled, looking with squinted eyes and a slight frown at the empty space on the bed and the quiet of the room. Of the house. She sighed, bringing her hands down to move the blankets away so she could stand, when her engagement ring caught the sunlight and sparkled. She hesitated, moving her hand about and grinning, before getting up and grabbing her short black robe off the back of her bedroom door.

She scratched her head and yawned while walking down the hall, eventually tying the robe about her and glancing around the house. Hmm. Looked like Tony was gone. Hadn’t eaten anything. Hadn’t even touched the bottle of Jack he left on the floor. She frowned again and just began picking up her things, tossing them in the laundry, before grabbing the bottle and taking a swig. Guess that’s what happens when you get engaged to a guy in a biker gang… the day after he goes off with them instead of celebrating with ya. she thought to herself. It wasn’t a bitter or angry thought. More matter of fact or a bit sad. She stood in her kitchen, trying to decide what to eat, sipping the bottle in her hand once more before setting it off the side.
Aphrodite sat with Dionysus, laughing and carrying on about her party tomorrow. It was her birthday, and she’d planned a grand feast. Dionysus was bringing the wine, and she’d gotten started talking about some of their fellow deities after an accord had been reached about how much to bring. He asked if her husband was attending, and Ares, and she hesitated, laughter having stopped.

”Yes… both are. I imagine they’ll not want to interact with one another though,” she said, giving a meager smile, and blue eyes shining a bit. She knew she was in the wrong with her feelings, but she knew better than most that sometimes feelings could simply not be helped. Especially when one was married off against their will.

”Well, tomorrow then,” she said with some friendly finality before rising and turning away from the god of madness who seemed to chuckle softly as she left, probably imagining how tomorrow could possibly turn out badly. After all, getting all the gods and goddesses together at once in one place was… well, an experiment to say the least.

Aphrodite decided to stop by her temple that had been recently completed and grant some lovers’ wishes. After , without their sacrifices and prayers, she’d be nothing. She lived on love.
Elle stood close to the stage but just at the right angle to get everyone playing up there in the shot. She was busy snapping away, although she would get shoved every once in a while by a patron who got a little too excited or was a little too drunk. She got pushed into again and frowned, getting a blurry shot and glaring at the sloppy girl who’d bumped her. ”Well aren’t you attractive…” she mumbled under the noise of the music mockingly at the girl who paid no mind to the girl with short blonde hair and emerald eyes. Elle just shook her head and got a few more shots of the owner as he finished the song, letting her camera rest around her neck as he walked off. She breathed deeper as she could take a small break, walking over to the bar herself to get a Tom Collins and scroll through the pics she’d already gotten of the club.

She had been hired by Booker to get some good shots they could use to promote the place, though by the looks of things, it seemed pretty bumping already. She was there to do a job though, and she had gotten lots of great shots of the place. She smiled while looking at them, glancing up as the bartender set her drink down. ”Thanks!” she said gratefully over the noise of the place, crossing her bare legs and continuing to look through her shots while sipping her drink. She hoped B would be happy with what she’d gotten, but she’d take a few more before the night was out.

Letting her camera rest again, Elle took her drink and spun on the stool to look out at the others. She wore a short skirt with suspenders, tshirt, and studded boots, not bothering to look overly professional. After all, when was the last time she did? She couldn’t remember. She always just dressed however the heck she wanted. And this job was no different. She smacked her lips in a satisfied way after her drink, already half gone as she turned back around and set the drink on the bar.

Evera watched as everyone began wandering off to their own rooms, leaving her hesitating but then just shrugging and heading towards one of the unoccupied dorms. She opened it up and took in her surroundings. Boring but nothing bad. She was honestly just exhausted and wanted to sleep, so she set her things to the side, laying on the bare mattress and curling up to sleep.

As Evera drifted off, she began twitching, dreaming. She began drifting off and as her mind swirled, she dreamed herself getting up off the mattress and rubbing her eyes. She looked around the room as a glow was about the place. She squinted for a moment before she realized she was looking at a man. Or, well maybe not a man? He was tall, with golden skin and curly dark hair to his shoulders. He was wearing a tunic about his waist, his upper body muscles exposed. He had large wings protruding from his back, and horns curling against his head. She frowned for a moment before he spoke.

“I’m Mephistopheles,” he spoke to her, holding out a hand.

”Oh…” Evera spoke, her eyes widened. So, this was her father. There was something familiar about him, as if she’d seen him in dreams or night wakings but never knew who he was. She took his hand and got up off the bed.

“I just wanted to let you know that I’m proud of you. And that I’ll be around,” he said. Evera nodded simply, smiling a bit.

”I’ll do my best, I promise,” she reassured him. The deity nodded, embracing his daughter with his arm. He lingered for a moment before letting her go.

“It’s a hard job. Warning souls century after century of the promises of rewards in heaven, just to watch them corrupt themselves. I hope you’ll be better suited for the task than I. And do not neglect to learn how to fight demons. Nasty things,” he said with a look of distaste. He let her go and took a few steps back. “Good luck, daughter,” he said quietly. Then things started to get blurry.

Evera woke up from her nap and yawned, frowning and looking about her room. Gah, she had to learn the difference between when she was on the spiritual plane or just dreaming.
