Name: Mia Lane

Gender: Female

Age: 18

Magic User Type: Water Mage

Personality: Upbeat, fun-loving, and perpetually optimistic, Mia hates sadness and tears. She likes to joke and sometimes finds it hard to be serious. She is naïve and sweet natured, until one of her loved ones is hurt. Then stay out of her way.

Powers: The ability to manipulate water, ice, and steam. She can also manipulate other liquids with water content. She can pull enough water from the air to form something small, but nothing much of significance. She is just now learning the art of manipulating someone’s blood, as she’s only ever tried to do so once so she has not mastered it.

Skills/Talents: Cooking, hand to hand combat, recall anything she's ever seen within seconds

Equipment/Weapons: A bag of basic toiletries, a few utensils for food and matches, 2 knives (one for fileting with, one for cutting brush), a bow & a couple arrows (used to fish with), a bottle of water.

Bio: Mia grew up with just her mother, her father having gone off to fight in some god forsaken war and dying. She has 2 brothers, her older brother Tak and a younger brother Kai. Her older brother has some minor healing abilities while her younger has no extraordinary abilities. Mia began to learn and develop her abilities from a young age, her mother telling her how her father had the same gifts. Her mother didn’t know much about how to use such a skill, but there was another in their village, an old woman, who taught her father and now taught Mia. She learned quickly, but one thing the woman told her was that water was the source of life. Therefore, it was never to be used as a weapon. Mia was naïve enough to say she understood at the time, but with age perspective changes. Naivety fades.

A few months ago, her village was attacked by some raiders. She disobeyed her teacher and used her abilities as weapons over and over again, trying to get people out, put out fire, save whomever she could. She saw her family, her mother and brothers, running off. She can only assume they are alright. But she did manage to see the slaughtering of the elderly woman when she refused to let the raiders into her home. Mia tried to help her, but it was too late. And the last look the woman gave her was one of pity. As if she pitied Mia for the choices she was making, instead of her own which resulted in her death. Mia was furious and tried to kill the ones that hurt the woman by drawing their blood out from them forcefully, then by trying to turn it into steam. The men writhed and cried out til the passed out, but they did not die. She had never even tried the ability before, and it was fueled by her intense rage. Once her anger began to fade, she felt a bit sick about what she’d tried to do, and the fact that so many she knew were dead. She grabbed a few things she could manage to find and ran and has been running, hoping to find her family once more.

Name: Yvette Cole

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Appearance:

Bio: Yvette grew up in a rather tumult house hold. She was tossed from family member to family member, and all of them poor. She was the little girl who got called out for lice in elementary school and wore oversized plaid clothes and came to school starving. Once she was 12 she got put into foster care, and the family actually had some money. They didn’t treat her like their own daughter however, and neither did her siblings. She has a rather dark past even with the foster family, that she rarely reveals to anyone. She was able to clean up though and go to school looking rather preppy. She never was good at making friends, just because she hardly ever trusted anyone. But since she longs to trust people, she has managed to make a few close friends. One thing she always managed to excel at was playing the flute, and her senior year, got nominated by her band teacher to go on a European tour to play. That’s how she ended up on the plane.

Personality: Sweet, sensitive, shy, caring, cooperative, indecisive, scatter brained at times, lazy at times, humble, low self-esteem, a bit close minded, kind, sometimes immature, respectful, dependent

Job before cast away: Student

Skills: Playing the flute, surviving, knows some first aid, cooking, sprinting

Weapons: None yet
Audrey was headed for the kitchen when she almost ran into the twins, Taylor and Tyler. She had met them since attending the academy and found them nice enough she supposed. She waved with a friendly smile, though there seemed to be someone behind them. As they passed, the new guy followed, causing Audrey to just tilt her head and watch for a moment. ”Be careful, they might take you to the … experimentation room,” she winked, though her tone had attempted to sound ominous.

She grinned and turned away from them and went into the kitchen, finding it empty of other students. She shrugged and grabbed her milk and jumped a few times to grab her powder off the top of the fridge. She didn’t want anyone getting ahold of it honestly, though plenty could. Then again, most by now knew she was friendly and happy, but not to mess with her either. She mixed it up and put everything back, leaning her backside against one of the counters and drinking up, mind running to the hustle and bustle of students that would be going in and out of classes today. Sometimes she attended classes, sometimes not. More often than not, she stuck to just training exercises where she learned how to use her power. During her homeschooling, she’d gotten all the way to college courses so she didn’t exactly need the other subjects.

Audrey wiped the back of her hand across her mouth and sighed, feeling rather lonely despite the day having just started. So, to perk herself back up, she pulled out her music and began listening once more, leaving the kitchen and roaming the hallways, where she began dance bombing kids on their way to class, causing those behind them and a few teachers some giggles.

She's NPC so really anyone can control her as long as they do her personality right. Kinda like the bully, but I know no one has a feel for her yet, so I will play her :)
Oh haha, thanks Blox! :) Can't wait til you're back.
Now floating up and down
I spin, colliding into sound
Like whales beneath me diving down
I’m sinking to the bottom of my
Everything that freaks me out
The lighthouse bean has just run out
I’m cold as cold as cold can be

Blue October blasted in Audrey’s ears through small ear buds that hardly ever left the sides of her face. She’d been working out in the basement for 30 minutes at least so far. Long enough to have a light sheen of sweat cover her body anyway. She continued punching the bag in front of her until the song ended, an uppercut to seal the deal before pushing it away from her panting form. She walked over to the mirrors against the wall, grabbing her water bottle she’d set on the floor and chugging it. Her hazel eyes caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror. Honey hair, messy and short… black sports bra and some black baggy sweats with her tennis shoes and she didn’t know whether she could pull off sporty, or if she just looked rough.

She closed the bottle and set it back down clumsily, having glove weights on her hands. She sighed and looked around at the other equipment before shaking her head. I really should be more social… other people are up by now surely, she thought to herself, ripping off the gloves and tossing them. Another song had started, and Audrey was beginning to hold onto a lot of stored sonic energy. She put a hand up and filled the room with a large blast of light that permeated almost to the halls outside the room, before letting it fade. ”There,” she breathed heavily, leaving the comfort of metal bars and whirring machines for the cold hallways of the manor.

Audrey managed to get to her room without running into too many people, showering and changing into something more ‘socially appropriate’ she supposed. Some hole filled flare jeans and a black cami. She left her hair wet, not bothering to dry it or put on makeup, as she left her room once more, music player tucked in her pocket. She always had it on her, afraid the one time she didn’t, something terrible would happen. It was her life line basically. And though she’d been at the school for 6 months already, she’d yet to even explain that to anyone but teachers really. Some students were friendly enough, but most were bags of emotional scar tissue that couldn’t get past their own hang ups enough to say hi.

”Protein shake.” she said aloud to herself, reminding her to go get something to eat post workout while she began down the hall to the kitchen.
Aw darn... I don't want to be stuck til Sunday so Baylen might have to reapproach Gwen, Blox, =P
Here :)
If Tiffany ends accepted, I think I'll change my character's mutant alias. As Star & Firestar are a little too close for my taste.
