So I'm dying to do a Divergent action/romace RP. I don't have a preference between a group or 1x1 RP, I'm open to pretty much anything. Below is a sample I have. I'd like to do an AU version of Divergent that focuses more on the factions instead of the Divergents and the experiments. If you're interested or have any ideas, let me know.
I adjust my glasses for the umpteenth time this morning, my palms are sweating as I take a seat with my faction, the Erudite. I wipe my hands on my trousers as the choosing ceremony starts. I don’t hear anything the Candor leader says as he explains the importance of the Choosing Ceremony, the only thing I can hear is the blood rushing past my ears with each heartbeat.
My name is Tahra Iles and I was born into Erudite, my parents are both leaders of our faction. It is expected of me to follow in their steps, and to my parents, there is no question to which faction I will choose. That thought amuses me, while I am smart like the Erudite I have never truly belonged with my faction. While I am supposed to be studying in my room I’m usually doing push-ups or sit-ups. For an Erudite female (any female really) I’m pretty athletically toned. I hide it well, my glasses that I don’t actually need hiding the glint in my deep sea green eyes that many Erudite think is a glint of my intelligence but is really a glint of my longing to run…to be free. I wear my long dirty blond hair back in a ponytail, keeping it out of my face. I wish that I had worn it down today, so I could hide what I’m sure is clearly visible on my face, my anxiousness to choose Dauntless.
My name is finally called, I don’t look back. I can’t look at my parents, I might lose my resolve if I see the pride and anticipation on my mother’s face. I take the knife and carefully cut my hand and with no hesitation I stretch my arm out over the bowl with the coals, squeezing my hand so that the blood trickles faster and a splash of it sizzles on the coals below.
The Dauntless burst into thunderous applause as I take a seat with my new faction. My new family. I adjust the glasses on my face and look back at the Erudite’s…my parents are devastated. I swallow hard and turn back around to watch the rest of the Choosing Ceremony, I am not the only “defector.”
