Claire Bellerose
The Stables~ Camp Half Blood

Hurrying across camp grounds, the little blonde French girl could be seen dodging around trees, her long blonde hair flowing behind her as the wind caught it. She let out apologies in French as she bumped into different people. She ran bare foot, in a pair of short jean shorts and a skimpy tank top. She was dressed for summer and easily recognized as Claire Bellerose, one of the Big Three children. She smiled and waved at her friends, giggling and laughing as she tiptoed and ran around in the soft grass. The dark, wooden stables came into view and she smiled even wider, taking a deep breath.

She approached the stables cautiously, making sure none of the keepers were there, else they might get mad at her. Seeing no one around, she made her way inside, keeping a small, bright red apple hidden behind her back. The stables were full today, with nickering horses and whinnying foals. Down the way, she could hear the beating wings of a Pegasus trying to fly in their entrapment. There was a whinnying of anger as they hit the top of the stables and fell back to the ground. Claire giggled and rolled her eyes at the daft creature. It had tried that many times before and it had yet to learn that there was no escaping the stables unless it was let out.

There was only one stall, however, that Claire was thoroughly interested in. It was the quietest stall and the smallest. She made her way toward it, moving carefully. She did not want to startle the poor creature. Moving up next to it, she peered inside, looking into the darkness. In the shadows of the stall, near a small hale bale toward the back, next to the water, there was a small noise and a dark gray shadow moved the dust and hay. A beautiful silver dapper mare made her way toward the stall door. Her normally shiny pelt was slightly dusty, but with a small shake, the dust flew off and toward Claire. Claire let out a sneeze and the horse whinnied, the whinny resembling something close to laughter.

"Oh, be quiet," Claire said, her light French accent coating over her words. "I brought something for you, darling." She pulled out the apple from behind her back and held it out to the horse. She neighed with delight, but before she could get the apple, Claire pulled it back. "Apologize." The horse shook her mane. "Cascade..." Claire sounded as if she was talking to a child, and with how the horse was acting, it seemed as if she was. The horse snorted, scattering dust across the door. Claire narrowed her eyes as the horse dipped her head and nickered quietly. Claire smiled and held out the apple to the mare.

The horse's head shot up and she immediately took the apple from Claire's hand, munching on it happily. Claire giggled and opened the stall door, walking into the dusty stall. She gently took the reigns on Cascade's neck and led her forward and out of the stall. Gripping onto the reigns still, she swung her small body up onto the beautiful horse's back. Cascade, a little surprised at the sudden weight, staggered forward slightly and neighed loudly.

"Sorry, girl," Claire murmured, patting her neck. Unbuckling and unstrapping, Claire took the bit out of the horse's mouth and took the reigns off from around her head, tossing them back into the stall. Neighing happily, Cascade shook her mane out slightly, scattering more dust particles. Claire sneezed again. "You must stop doing that, Cascade." Cascade nickered and Claire smiled, digging her heels into the beautiful horse's sides. The horse took off, full gallop, out of the stables and they began to ride around camp.

The wind blowing through her hair, Claire threw her head back and laughed, smiling widely. This was the most fun she had had in ages. And she wasn't planning on stopping soon. Unless she hit somebody, of course...

Archer Trey Andrews and Gideon James Carlyle

The Training Grounds ~ Camp Half-Blood

He was knocked completely off his feet, falling to the ground with a huff. His blond tendrils fell in front of his face and he held up his hand, breathing heavily. "Gimme... a... minute..." Sucking in air through his teeth, he let out a wheezing noise before staggering to his feet. The more muscular, towering guy across from him smirked and crossed his beefy arms across his chest, completely ignoring the fact he had one half of a katana pair in his hands. Stabbing it into the ground, he walked closer to the skinny blond and crouched down, scooping up a fall sword and tossing it to the side. He shook his head and let out a sigh.

"Athena would be disappointed, Archer," he said with a grin. "Losing to an Ares..." He made a tut noise with his tongue and Archer glared at him from underneath his sweaty hair.

"You knocked the wind out of me, Gideon," Archer stated, one arm now wrapped around his stomach. "I think she'll understand." The armor straps pulled tight around his muscles as he straightened up.

Gideon laughed, the booming noise echoing across the training grounds. Some of the other trainees turned to look at him. Some of the younger kids looked nervous, and Gideon smirked at them. They all immediately looked away and Gideon rolled his eyes, backing up slightly from Archer. Cracking his knuckles, he walked back a little ways and stood across from Archer, who was leaning back on his heels, still trying to catch his breath.

"You ready?" He got a thumbs up from Archer, who was still keeled over. He walked over to the sword that was on the side, taking deep breaths as he walked. He picked it up and Gideon, in turn, picked up his katana pair. Archer made his way back over and stood across from him. "Three. Two. One. Fight!" Gideon yelled and he charged Archer.

It was at this moment Ares decided to get bitchy with Hermes.

Ares' anger filled Gideon and he slammed down with more force than he meant to. Archer, shocked by Gideon's attack, only barely got his sword up in time to block the attack. He twisted the blades away and dodged out, whipping back around to face Gideon. A burning anger was forming in the pit of Gideon's stomach and his teeth ground against each other. He leapt at Archer again, swinging for his neck. Archer blocked one of the swords with his and swung under the other one. He was honestly surprised at the ferocity that Gideon had. He was fierce when it came to battle, but he normally wasn't this ferocious. He spun out of the way again and this time, he attacked first. He swung for Gideon's arm, but Gideon was able to block it with the flat end of his right katana. He laughed out loud and a chill ran through Archer. That was not a happy laugh. That was one of menace and evil.

"You think that attack can work?! Let me show you how it's done," Gideon snarled, his voice dropping to a deep bass. He shoved Archer back, kicking him directly in the stomach. Archer fell backwards, but managed to get into a roll and jump back up to his feet. He held his sword in front of him as a barrier, but Gideon would not stop with that. Gideon charged him again, and swung both his blades together, hooking Archer's sword with both of his. Archer kept a hold of it, but his hands slip, and he felt the rush that normally kept him steady with ασημένια φωτιά slip away from him as he lost his grip. His hands tightened on it, and the rush came back, but late. Gideon pushed forward with his hands, shoving the flat of the blades against Archer's chest and the force knocked Archer back onto his back.

Gideon let out a menacing howl and was about to do what he did best, show no mercy. Not even to his friend. Archer saw this in his eyes and rolled up to his feet, drawing his crossbow from his back. Drawing his hand in a straight line in the air, a bolt appeared in his hand. He notched it quickly, raised it to his eyes, and pulled the trigger. Gideon was suddenly dragged back and found himself pinned against the wall of the armory. He tried to jerk free, but the bolt had gone through his loose armor into the wall.

"Gideon!" Archer yelled and ran after his friend. He came to a pause in front of him. "You need to cool down. I've never seen you so angry."

"I'm fine."

"Are you sure? 'cause that didn't look like-"

"I said I'm fine!" he snarled. He lurched against the bolt, but Archer knew that that bolt was not coming out soon. Only he would be able to pull it out from the angle he was at. Gideon glared at him, his eyes dark and almost red colored. The Athena child recognized the eyes of his father in him. "Come on, let's fight."

Archer stared at him. The soft thunk of his crossbow and sword could be heard as they hit the ground. Archer stepped back and held up his hands, his dark eyes worried and carefully wary. "I'm not fighting you. Not while you're angry." Gideon growled, but he seemed to get his right of mind back slowly. He took a deep breath, shutting his eyes. He breathed in deep through his nose and let it out slowly, opening his eyes at the same pace, looking back to Archer. The dark brown color was now back.

"I'm sorry. Will you help me get this off?" he asked, his voice now quieter. Archer still eyed him, but he stepped around his weapons and, with an easy, swift pull, the sharp bolt slid free of the metal and wood. Archer tossed it by his crossbow and crossed his arms across his chest. Gideon rubbed his arms and lowered his eyes sheepishly. "Sorry. You know I can't control it sometimes when... he gets angry."

"I know," Archer murmured. "Why don't we step back from fighting for a bit? We could head back to your cabin and work on battle strategies for the next Capture the Flag game."

"Sure. Good thing too. I heard I'm getting a new camper today," Gideon said, straightening up. He grabbed his katanas off the ground and sheathed them on his back. Archer did the same, but only sheathed his jian. He wrapped the crossbow over his shoulder, strapping it across his chest.

"Really? Know anything about them?"

"That's the thing... They haven't told me anything about them. All Mr. D said was I was getting a new one..."

Ariella Taraman
The Ballroom; Castle

Arielle watched as people began to dance and look like they were having fun. She shook her head, blonde curls falling out around her face and softly brushing her cheeks. She couldn't believe how people were having fun at this time. Not all the Guards were in. There were still some out in the Outlands, fighting to protect those that were inside the walls. She still forced a smile when one of her friends from her grid smiled and waved at her, dancing with one of their crushes. As soon as she turned away, though, she sucked in her cheeks and took a deep breath.

She heard soft footsteps approaching her and she turned to see Nau, a grave look on his wizened face. Sky Carlson, the Weapons Instructor, and Cru Nuella, the Defense Instructor, were both with them, decked out from head to toe in Guard gear. She turned immediately and stood at attention. It was rare to see all three of them together in one place, though it had been said that they used to all be in a Guard group together before Nau partially lost his eyesight. Now Cru and Sky were partners and were considered Elite Guards when they didn't have a Recruit class to train.

"You can relax, Ariella," Sky said with an exasperated tone. "You aren't in trouble. In fact, it seems to be quite the opposite." His voice was very forced and she noticed him exchanging glances with Cru almost every few minutes. Both of their handsome faces were drawn and quite pained, whereas Nau's was forced blank of any emotion that he could muster.

"Ariella, the Anomalous problem is arising very quickly," Nau said. "We need to get you guys some real world experience as soon as possible, and we are losing too many Guards to take out many at a time. You and Noah will leave with Cru and Sky tonight, on the midnight shift. You will run a normal tour, like a normal Guard, going six hours, and you will come back. This will happen multiple times over the next few days, even weeks, until Cru and Sky believe you and Noah are ready. It will be you four that will take out partners and train them in the real world, outside of those walls. This is the safest way we can assure that no one will die immediately."

Ariella was silent. She was a little surprised, but she had been noticing the decreased number of those who returned from tours. Many of them came from Recruit classes that were only a few years ahead of hers. They were trying a different way to see if they could be safer. She looked at them and nodded. "Good," Cru said, an answer to no question she asked or thought. He had a package in his hands. He handed it to her carefully, his hands shaking very slightly. "Take these and go change now, then go and find Noah and tell him the same. His are already on his bed." Cru paused snapping his fingers. "Oh yeah. Your rooms have changed as well. You two are now on the sixteenth floor, right next to each other. Your rooms are right next to the elevator."

Ariella nodded, taking the package from his hands. She then proceeded to walk out of the ballroom, looking around for Noah. She saw him walking outside and, kicking off her stupid high heels, she took off after him, running barefoot. She pushed open the door and said, "Noah!" Her voice echoed in the silent night air. "We're going on a tour. They need us to head upstairs and change. They've changed our rooms from our Recruit rooms as well." She waited for a response.
Markson

Thousands and thousands of trees, only breaking every few spots. Dark shadows could be see flitting about through the dense foliage, followed by the whoops and yells as bigger, more prominent shadows chased after them. Laser bullets lit up the darks, illuminating the humanoid forms for a few moments before they receded back into the darkness. Footprints left in the dirty ground were swept away over time, being kicked under dirt from the feet racing off to continue the fight. Lights broke through the west barrier of trees and a large wall came into view, lit up with security lights.

The Guard Towers stood tall and bright as they surrounded the gate. The moonlight glinted off the snipers pointed out toward the foliage of trees. Humanoid forms stand at the edge of the trees, looking toward the towers in fear. One of the Sniper Guards, standing close to the edges, sees one of the shadows and fires off a warning shot. The hiss could not be heard at that distance, but the warning shot did exactly what it was meant to do. The shadows flitted off into the distance, disappearing from view. The sniper stood back, looking toward his partner with a cocky grin, who just rolled his eyes and continued a lookout. The bell chimed a six o'clock call, and the two men looked to each other.

On the opposing tower to them, a young woman pressed three buttons, in successive order, and the gate begins to open slowly. Different groups begin to approach, and dark shadows sprint out from the inside the gates, from behind the Wall. The groups whoop and yell, high-fiving each other as they switch off before the gates begin to close again, doing as they normally do: only be open for two minutes at a time. The new packs take off running in different directions, and sounds of terror could be heard through the dimming sky.

As the gates shut, the retired groups laughed and began walking down the pathway, heading in the direction of a tall, sparkling glass tower, one that was a half an hour walk away. They pass by short, stumpy houses and young farmers, who wave and smile to them as they do their final feeding. The Guards waved and smiled back, letting out yells to former friends, or cat calls to young women, who giggle and take it in stride. The road is the main road that no cars, except the rare government car or helicopter, was allowed to go on. The Guards hold onto each other, laughing and smiling as they approach the glittering tower. Lights flash on the inside, people preparing for the night.

Castle, as it was called, was the most protected building in all of Markson, being home to the Guards. It was the most fortified and had the most weapons out of anywhere in Markson. The groups walked up to the front doors, placing each of their hands into a small opening by a seemingly normal wall. The first one, a young man, cringed as the needle pricked his finger, but as soon as his blood was approved, the wall slid open, making a minor door for the young man to walk into.

The beginning foyer of Castle was close to a hotel lobby. There were couches where Guards would sit, waiting for their tours to begin, or play video games and hang out in between training and exercising sessions. Walking forward down a small hallway, the building then opened up a bit more, breaking off into three different hallways. Continuing straight would lead one to all of the meeting rooms, while if one were to turn right, they would head to six elevators to take them to their rooms or the training rooms on the upper floors of the Castle. This particular young man turned to head to the elevators, but where the fun really begins is going left and heading down a long hallway to a pair of double doors: the ballroom.

Tonight, it was lit up with multicolored lights and festive balloons and streamers. There was a snack table, a space made for dancing, a stage, and multitudes of tables filled with people, the front five filled with young Recruits who had just finished their training. The rest were filled with off duty Guards and the mentors who trained the young Recruits. A young man of a somewhat Asian decent approached the stage, going up to speak into a microphone...

Ariella Taraman
The Ballroom; Castle

Sitting at the front of most things was not unusual for her, but this time, it was all assigned. The first table was for the highest ranking out of all of the Recruits. She was at the head of the table, smiling softly, as she watched Nau, the head Recruiter for the Council and resident of Castle itself, make his way onto the stage. Nau tapped the microphone, then waited for the murmurs of the Recruits and other guests to die down. The room fell into a hushed silence and Nau began to speak.

"We gather here to witness the beginning of an era. These twenty students are about to step into the world of a Guard. They have trained, hard, from Day One. There has been blood. There has been sweat. And there has been tears. They have thrown their heart and soul into becoming a protector of this wonderful city of ours-" A loud cheer arose, with a chant of the city name, before Nau held up his hand the room fell quiet once more. "-and I'm sure they will give their lives to protect those that they love behind these walls. Now! Onto the acceptance, choosing of the weapons, and the random partner selection."

Nau began calling each of the Recruits, one by one, starting from the last ranked Recruit. They all went up and swore a speech that said, "I pledge myself to protect the city of Markson. Until the last breath leaves my body, I will hold my ground against the Anomalous. Until the last drop of blood hits the ground, I will protect those I love. This I swear." The oath was a little morbid, but what came next was even more so. A ceremonial knife, having to be sterilized in between each Recruit, was presented to the student. They would draw it across their palm and take their weapon of choice, thus symbolizing it was their weapon. It was gross, but no one else was going to use your gun, so it wasn't that big of a deal.

Ariella held her breath as Nau called her name last. She approached the stage, making her way to him. He smiled at her and asked for her to raise her right hand. She repeated the oath to him, the words rolling off her tongue with ease and passion, and she was handed the knife at her conclusion. She drew the sharp blade of her palm, sucking in a breath at the sudden pain, but she quickly grabbed the hilt and holster of a 76th Grande Pistol, her most favored laser weapon. Wearing a dress, she would not be able to put it on her waist until she began wearing her Guard uniform normally.

Walking back down the stairs, she took her seat once more, looking up to the stage. Nau took his place once more at the microphone and said, "Now for the partner selection. There is no ceremony for this, so you may remain where you are. First pair... Ashes and Fox." Nau continued through, until finally Ariella heard, "Ariella and Noah."

That couldn't be right. Ariella stared at the stage in shock as Nau continued. He finished only two more after that before saying, "Those people will be your partners for the first year. After the first year, you will have your choice. Now stand up and let's have some fun! It's a celebration!" Everyone stood up and immediately the tables were swept away by volunteers and music began playing.

Ariella didn't dance. She didn't want to. Out of all the people he could have chosen, how did she get stuck with Noah?! The one who doesn't even know his last name?! Moping, she leaned up against the wall and began watching the dance, keeping an eye out for her new "partner".

Archer Trey Andrews and Gideon James Carlyle

Hephaestus Cabin ~ Camp Half-Blood

They had, at the least for the night, dropped off the broken weapons outside Ky'vie's workshop, that way they did at least one productive thing for the night. While Aella went off to Gods' know where, Archer leaned up against the bar, looking out over the dance floor. They had arrived pretty late; the party was already going went they got in, and he had seen Em heading down to the stables with a new kid when they were walking up here. He didn't have very high hopes for the party if Em left, but he had changed his mind when he walked inside. That boy must've been pretty damn special for Em to leave in the middle of a party like this...

Gideon, on the other hand, looked like he was about to be sick. He was fairly pale and was stiffly gripping the edge of the bar to make sure he didn't fall over. His anxiety was racing through his mind, his worry controlling his thoughts, as he began to think back to what he said about Aella. Archer seemed not to notice this, but Gideon couldn't help but voice his thoughts out loud to his normally attentive and helpful friend. "Do you think I was too harsh on her? Calling her weak with the judging Grecians thing?"

"Nope," Archer stated, popping his P loudly. Pushing his body weight down onto the back of his arms, he felt the muscles in his shoulders pop and he sighed with relief, rolling them around. "Literally, the only reason for her most likely coming here with us was to see the damn blonde that is..." His voice faded off as he squinted his eyes toward the DJ booth. "...seems to be flirting and necking with our lovely DJ up in the booth."

Gideon let out a laugh and turned his head toward the DJ booth, looking at Colt up there. But before he could shout any rude comments, ones that he knows Colt wouldn't be able to ignore, Aella walked back over, two freshly opened beers in her hands. He smiled carefully, almost warily, at her as he took the beer from her hand. Archer did the same, but acting more aloof as he leaned up against the bar and took a swig of the beer. He swooshed it around in his mouth before swallowing, keeping an eye on the dance floor. He did notice that Aella looked awkward and uncomfortable and hid a smirk behind his beer. No matter what face he was putting on in the cabin, the girl was gorgeous, but she tended slightly toward the bitchy end of the female spectrum. Awkward was not her thing.

Gideon watched Aella curiously as she apologized for her behavior back in the cabin, and when she began to actually apologize, Archer turned his dark eyes back down toward her with a small smile on his face. She kissed Gideon's cheek first, which he just gave a small half smile to, but she lingered a bit longer with Archer, which was a curious thing. Archer's neck turned red and he took another sip of his beer when Gideon proceeded to say, "It's alright. Both of us are a little... hard headed. You can always have a second chance with me... little sis." He laughed at the end.

"And no one said you were a flirty bitch," Archer stated, pointing a finger at her around his beer. "Just clearing that up." He let out a small smile and watched the dancers again as Gideon shook his head.

"If you wanted to see Colt, by the way..." Gideon began.

But before he could finish, Archer quickly cut him off, setting his beer down on the bar, and holding his hand out to Aella. "Would you like to dance?" he asked, an adorable half smile on his face. "It's only polite since it is your first time at a party here." Gideon rolled his eyes and sank back up against the bar, while Archer waited for his answer.

"No matter how hard you try, you will never be good enough for at least one person. That's why you stop trying." - Ariella Reese Taraman

||Background||

Personality:
One of Ariella's biggest pet peeves is when they relate her back to the stereotypical "dumb blonde". Ariella is quite intelligent and she shows it often. She is quite gifted in math and science, two subjects that a lot of people do not relate to being with girls. She definitely does not flaunt her intelligence, but people can see that it shines through her. She is a fast learner and seems to be able to adapt to any situation that is thrown her way, whether it be emotional or physical.

Even though Ariella is quite smart, growing up with the friends she had, she is very much a party girl. If there is ever a party going on, she is at it, even if she is tired or drained from training. She is not afraid to shake what she's got and show off her body to everyone. She seems to have no shame whatsoever, but this can make her reckless. She is smart, book wise, but she does not have a ton of common sense, especially when it comes to guys and partying.

Ariella is a self-proclaimed badass, and, though people don't want to admit it, she pretty much is. She has a hard shell on her and doesn't make friends easily. She is a very impatient person and can't stand when people test her. She is quite competitive and doesn't follow orders very well. She prefers to give orders and be a leader, which is one of the reasons she was top in her class. She has a short temper but tends to keep other emotions bottled up inside of her and has yet to let any of them out.

Skills:
Ariella was top in her class, ranking first out of the twenty new Recruits. Her best class was Weaponry, and she is excellent with almost every weapon, minus a sword. She is skilled in hand-to-hand combat as well, and she can identify almost any Anomalous on sight. She is a fairly fast runner, a skilled gymnast, and an excellent swimmer. She has a beautiful singing voice and is very adept with music.

Biography:
Ariella grew up in the direct center of Focal, where most of everything happened. It is where the Council Center is, and the Guard Tower, or Castle as they called it, was only a fifteen minute walk from her home. Both of her parents were lower level Council members and she went to the best private school in the city, going from a young age. The private school she went to went from kindergarten all the way up until twelfth grade. She met loads of her friends there, and she was happy. At least for the first little bit.

As she got older, she began noticing that her friends wanted to stay over at her place more often. Whenever they went out, she was always stuck with the bill or always had to pay for movie tickets or anything that came their way. They always asked her for money and finally, after one of her friends asked her pay off a thousand dollar fine, she realized that her friends were only with her for her money. She immediately cut ties with all of her friends, dropping all connections with them, and became very much a lone wolf. She would still see them at school, but she would avoid them at all costs. This happened when she was a tenth grader in her private school.

After her incident with her friends, she tried to find some way to prove that she was not just a girl who was known for her parents' money. That's when she came across becoming a Guard. She trained and worked as hard as she could for the next few years, becoming the top student in her class, and finally, her twelfth year in school, her parents came home with a guest to tell her that she was finally to become a Guard, heading into the Recruiting process behind one of the oldest at what they considered to be a Year Four student, the latest one could become a Guard.

She went and lived in Castle, as all the Recruits did. The memory of her friends relying on her so heavily drove her to make herself become the best. Whenever they had a day off, she would be in training anyways. She became the top Recruit in her class and she chose that, after her tours, she would go and train the next batch of Recruits, working alongside her favorite teacher, Sky Carlson. She is now heading out to become a Guard and she is ready to prove to the world that she is not a bimbo with loads of money.

Theme Song: "Confident" by Demi Lovato
“Anomalous. Old Definition: irregular, deviating from the norm or from what people expect. New Definition: a person with special abilities; someone further along in the evolutionary chain.

“We, the members of the Council, have created a safe zone, a.k.a. Markson, surrounded by two layers of walls to protect us from this dangerous new species. Any Anomalous inside the city will be expelled to the Outlands to live away from us, the Normals. Considering that these Anomalous are a danger to the population and an overuse of space and room, we have created Guards, who go out into the Outlands and demolish the Anomalous population. They need to be eradicated to where the Anomalous gene completely disappears.

“Guards are highly trained individuals, youngest being at the age of seventeen, that are sent out into the Outlands to hunt down any Anomalous and eradicate them. The Guards are trained in schooling, being the top choices, each picked individually by Council Officers. It will not matter where these children come from.

“Each of these children will be chosen every year, no more, no less in one year and it does not matter of their age. There will be one student chosen from each level of class, of which there are four. They must be top marked in Physical Education, Anomalous History, Normal History, and Weaponry. The students with the highest marks from each of the five separate Grids in Markson: four from Slight, the west most Grid, four from Principle, the east Grid, four from Till, the southern Grid, four from Luminosity, the northern grid, and finally four from right here in Focal, the center Grid. They will all be sent to the Guard Training Center in Focal and they will train for exactly one year and a day. They will train in Weaponry, Defense, Hand-to-Hand Combat, and Anomalous recognition.

“These students should be considered privileged and, even if they come from the lowest of lowly places, they are to be accepted.”

Colt Malow Winger

Hephaestus Cabin ~ Camp Half-Blood

Colt smiled as she practically tripped over everything and nearly ruined the entire set just so she could get closer to him. He made sure to brace his hands on her hips, hoping that she wouldn't fall and hurt herself. He was luckily he didn't have a shirt on; the beer would have ruined any shirt that he would have had. He smirked at the nick-name. He liked it about as much as she liked "Princess"... He smiled softly after she kissed him and proceeded to listen as she went off on a quick information shoot about what happened while he was getting asked a bunch of questions about the damn horse he saw outside of Gideon's cabin earlier. He had missed quite a bit. A bunch of new kids and something goin' on with Ky. He smiled toward the ground as he listened, not looking up toward her until she was done talking.

"Am I in most of your dreams, sweetheart?" he teased lightly, moving up closer to wrap his arms around her waist and rest his chin on her shoulder. He didn't bother answering the question about the song choice, as he didn't much care what she played since she always played pretty damn good music. His light colored eyes looked out over the floor, scanning the area as he recognized a few familiar faces in the crowd, none that he would actually like to talk to. He gently kissed Arianna's neck before he heard a gagging noise and one of his sisters yelled, "No PDA!"

"Fuck off!" Colt yelled back at her, flipping her the bird as he moved his arms tighter around Arianna. Slipping his hands sneakily into her pocket, he pulled out the pill bottle and held it up to her face. "You shouldn't be forgetting about these, Princess. You know they help you, no matter how much you hate to admit it." He smiled at her, shaking the bottle in front of her face as he backed up a little bit. He pulled up the bottle to examine it. Kiran obviously brought it, as shown by the fact that she was still standing by and had been there when he showed up. He shook his head and let out a sigh. "I wish you'd stop forgetting. It's hard for me to remember to remind you." He chuckled under his breath and popped off the cap of the pill bottle. He pulled out two pills, took her hand, and gently placed them in her hand, enclosing her fingers around the two small things. Patting the top of her hand, he backed up again, looking over the whole crowd.

"You're spinning some sweet tracks," he said, changing the topic so she couldn't convince him to take the pills back. He glanced at the light show that suddenly disappeared. He didn't take much notice of it, and he didn't think that the people on the dance floor did either. He moved forward again, leaning up against one of the tables so he could be in front of her and see her face again. Hiking up his shorts slightly, as they kept falling down without a belt, he said, "So what's this about Ky? I heard she got back from her quest, but nothing much more than that..."

Emerald Dosen Armsted
~Camp Half-Blood~ Hephaestus Cabin

A high pitch bark went up in the air near the party. A small black pup ran through the party, running all around. Dodging through people's legs, under seats, around dancing feet, Aquina ran. Little tongue sticking out, she swirled back around and ran back out, heading into the grassy area. The little pup ran around in a circle, beginning to chase her tail, when two thin arms scoops her up with a flash of bright light. The girl giggled as she held onto her wolf-pup and put her on her shoulder. Sitting slightly like a cat, Aquina perched on her owner's shoulder, looking out over everything.

"Now, are you going to stay near me?" Emerald asked the dog. Aquina let out a small yip and Em took her gently from her shoulder and set her back down on the ground. Adjusting her outfit to where nothing was riding up, Emerald proceeded to make her way into the party. She smiled and waved at people she knew with Aquina trotting alongside her. Pointing one of her fingers toward the air, she set off three shots off light, before motioning her hands like she was pulling something apart. The light scattered, creating a firework like affect over the whole area. Aquina barked and ran after the lights, chasing them as a cat would chase a laser pointer light. Once all the lights fell to the floor and disappeared, Aquina came back with her head down, saddened at the lack of anything to play with anymore.

"You're such a dork, dog," Em said with a light hearted laugh. Cupping her hands together, she created a solidified ball of light. She held it in one hand before bending down next to Aquina. She rolled the ball across the floor, heading straight for the piano where a small fox perched. Aquina took off like a shot, chasing after the ball. Aquina slid across the floor under the piano but kept going. Em laughed out loud before shaking her head. "That should keep the rascal busy for a little bit." Em began walking around, looking for some of her friends. She smiled and waved at Claire and Roy before moving out into the middle of the dance floor. There was a few people dancing and she began moving her hips along with the music. There was no reason for her not to chill out and relax today.

Coming up with an idea, she made her way over to the wall and pressed her hand to it, placing a finger in between the floor and the wall. A light beam shot out from her her hand and maneuvered the way around the dance floor, lighting it up with bursts of light every other second. The lights matched up to the beat of the music and Em smiled, beginning to dance with the beat. Until she heard a crash from the other side of the room...
