Aeria stood by the river as she watched Tollank dip his feet, smiling as he looked up at the sky. The sudden smell of mint hit her senses and she glanced back at Leon, who's eyes were tightly closed. He was using his mutation for something.. She brought her gaze back to the river, not wanting to interrupt whatever he was doing. She stayed alert and tucked a piece of her silver hair behind her ear to hear better. Aeria had a really good sense of hearing. After all, sound travels through air. Sound is transmitted from a source to the surrounding air particles, which vibrate or collide, and pass the sound energy along to our ears.

The metallic door shut close, and Aeria stopped herself from turning back. "Gods." She could hear Leon mutter. So she didn't imagine the weird vibration she picked up earlier after all. The reason why Leon did not say anything about it, she didn't know. Aeria stared at a distance, the small island coming into focus. She could hear Leon walk toward them, And neither of them said anything to each other as they stood by the river bank in silence. Whatever it was, it was too uncertain.
Ah yes, I certainly did enjoy the Ultimate Chocolate cake I ate yesterday ;) Haha

"Well it looks like someone had a change of heart!" Tollank said towards Aeria, and then shifted his focus to Leon, "I don't mind if Peaches tags along, but if starts freaking out there is no promises that I won't knock his head in." It seemed that their little group of friends was starting to grow in number, and Tollank didn't mind at all. Firestarter over there seemed cool enough, and his mutation was freaking killer. If Aeira wanted Bug Boy to tag along it meant that he said SOMETHING in that dome that she felt warranted a second chance, and they could at least give him that.

Aeria looked at Tollank with a horrified look in her face. "Wait, change of heart? Um, no.. That wasn't what I was.." She sighed and placed a palm on her face. "Nevermind." She said, too tired to explain herself.

"Who said I invited him? And if he ain't comin', neither should bug boy." Leon gave her a shrug, walking past her, a small smirk on his face as he passed by. He removed his right hand from his pocket, cupping the open air. His hand flattened out and as if awaiting his cue, the dome that withheld the boy with mandibles opened up, returning to the way it once was. He turned slightly, looking at Tollnak as he spoke. "We'll probably see him tomorrow. Or... at the very least, hear from him."

She turned to look at Leon as he spoke. She glared at him and crossed her arms as she caught the smirk on his face. "I meant to say that you invited him to your room. Sheesh." She paused for a second before realizing how wrong that sounded. She uncrossed her arms and raised her right hand, her right palm facing Leon, urging him to let her finish. "That's not what I meant to say. So don't tell me to Lay off on the queer jokes, Aeria." She teased as she repeated his words and tried to follow his voice. She laughed lightly as she walked over towards Tollank, trying to get away from Leon. Knowing Leon, he might have some revenge plan or something.

"Wait...how do they have vegetables and other plants for cooking aboard a ship? Do you think they make it rain sometimes? Or maybe just greenhouses..." Tollank said to no one in particular, he really wished it was the first option.

Tollank's question made her think. She never really thought about it until he asked. With the different kinds of mutations, maybe some mutants were able to make plants grow? And maybe others can manipulate the temperature and such. Mutants who were able to manipulate water at will would be helpful in that department too. "I hate to break it to ya', Tollnak." Leon said, "Chances are they only have greenhouses. We are on a spaceship after all. We might get some rain where we're going." She caught the sad expression on Tollank's face and that made her feel bad. After all, she herself loved the rain. "They probably have sprinklers on the roof as a substitute for rain." She blurted out as she tried to cheer him up, but realized only after saying it that it kind of sounded depressing. "Or the water mutants could make it rain." Aeria added. She wanted to put a hand on her mouth before she could say anything else that wasn't helpful.

When Leon noticed the sign for the underground park, he rose a hand, giving a small wave to the others, turning and trotting down the staircase. There was a metallic door before him that slid open as he approached, a wall of fresh air crashing into him, thick with the scent of grass and dew. The park wasn't particularly large, a river running through the mostly grassy plains that were dotted with trees. Near the back left corner, farthest away from the entrance to the park was a small island with a single large oak tree in the center of it where the river forked, a stone bridge arching over the gently flowing river connecting the island to the rest of the park. Flowers were blooming sporadically through the field, though they were nothing new to Leon, everything within this park having ancestors of Earth foliage. Leon was about to say something aloud, freezing as his mutation picked up the presence of another mutant in the park. It was a first that he had ever experienced, the mutant being completely invisible to his normal senses, only having his presence visible. His vitals, his mutation, everything, was completely hidden from Leon. Leon closed his eyes, taking a long, slow, deep breath before turning around. "Doesn't look to bad, eh?" he said with a smile, doing his best to not reveal to the others that anything was out of place.

As Aeria noticed the sign for the underground park, Leon rose a hand and gave them a small wave, motioning for them to follow after him. She carefully walked down the staircase and was met by a metallic door. It slid open as they approached and they were greeted by fresh air that carried the scent of grass and dew. "Not trying to ruin the mood or anything, but this place smells a lot like bug boy. It reminds me of his scent." She said as she casually walked forward, stopping beside Leon. The river running through the grassy plains caught her eye and it reminded her of the river nearby her house. She used to play there with her brother when they were little. "Looks a lot like earth." She said as she looked around, spotting the small island that had a large oak tree in the middle. When she heard Tollank clap, she let out a low whistle. The wind swept across them gently and she looked over at Tollank with a small smile. She wanted him to see every bit of detail in this place.

Aeria's smile faded and she paused in place as she caught a weird vibration in the air, like someone or something was watching them. She looked at Leon and Tollank, wondering if they had sensed the same thing but it didn't look like they were bothered by anything so she shrugged it off, ignoring whatever it was. It was probably nothing. Aeria watched as Tollank excitedly ran towards the river and she followed after him, glancing back and motioning for Leon to follow. "You planning to just stand there or something?" She smirked before turning back and closing the gap between her and the river.
Buried, Marx, sorry for the delay. Been attending birthday parties for the last 3 days. I'm writing up a post now.
Aeria could smell the strong scent of burnt ash and she turned to look over the fire boy's direction, knowing well enough that it was his scent. "I am NOT his boyfriend!" he yelled and was immediately engulfed in flames. Aeria just looked at him blankly as he walked away from them. "If it makes you feel better, I only said it to get Leon's attention." She said with disinterest as she walked in circles around the dome. "Lay off on the queer jokes for a bit, Aeria. I don't mind them, but fireboy doesn't take too kindly to 'em." She stopped in her tracks and looked at Leon. "I'm not going to censor myself to comfort someone else's anger issues." She replied curtly.

Aeria glanced back at the small hole, ready to return to her previous conversation with bug boy. "Well, Aeria, my name's Alan, and it seems we've gotten off on the wrong foot. I'm sorry, I was just really tired on the train, and I get a little bit weird when I'm tired. Please, if you were to let me out of here, I would love to hang out and get to know you better." He said in a voice that was far different from before. She was about to speak but was interrupted, "If it wasn't obvious already," Leon said as he walked by, "He's lying through his... whatever his equivalent of teeth are." Aeria just stared at him as he walked toward fire guy. If she had planned not to let him out, that was sure going to change now. She was a bit stubborn, although she never admits it. "I know he's lying. But I don't blame him for stealing food. He was just hungry." She replied though Leon probably didn't hear her because he was busy talking to the new guy.

When Leon got back to the other two, he stopped a few feet from the dome. "So, you two wanna just leave him and head to that place I mentioned earlier? Right down the street." He then looked at the dome, "And I take it we're leaving him to his own devices?"

Aeria glanced at Alan before looking back at Leon. She stayed quiet for a few moments before letting out a sigh. She pat the dome gently before giving a small smile, not the kind that meant she was happy. "I want him out." She blurted. "I mean, if you get to invite fire boy, I should be allowed to take bug boy with me too." She added. Her gaze left Leon and she turned to face Tollank instead, "Please." She said, not forgetting her manners.

Leon rose an eyebrow at her statement about mutants having a certain scent to them, though mostly to her not telling him what his was. That was going to bug the crap out of him now. What the hell could his scent be? Was it something similar to the owner? Aeria was pale as pale could be and she was vanilla, of course, but if that theory was correct, what could Leon be? His hair was blonde, so maybe wheat or something? It had to be something that made sense, something the represented him. His scent clearly was sexy as fuck, whatever it was. Anything else just wouldn't make sense... ?

Aeria looked at Leon who became quiet for a moment and she could see the curiosity in his eyes, causing her to smile triumphantly. Judging from how he was thinking so hard, he was probably looking for some kind of pattern or making wild guesses about what his scent could be. The scents, however, were completely random. Just like the different personalities that each and everyone possesses. Though from her observation, most scents were somehow linked to their mutations. A suddenly clapping broke her train of thoughts and she turned to see who it was coming from.

BuriedComic7 said
"Sorry about the clapping," he said walking back up to the group, "its kinda hard to see out here without noises. So if the noise doesn't pick up I may have to do this every so often." Tollank clapped his hands again. Even he had to admit that his claps could be super annoying, especially if people ENJOY the quiet.

Aeria laughed lightly as she thought about how ridiculous they might have looked to other people right now. "If you ever get tired of clapping, I could always help." She told Tollank with a smile. The sound of someone clearing his throat caught her attention and she looked at the red headed stranger who approached Leon. She watched him in curiosity, wondering what his mutation might have been. Aeria took a deep breath and the scent of burnt ash greeted her.Fire? She made a wild guess. His hair was red too so it would make a lot of sense. A smile crept to her lips and she gently nudged Leon, "Ooo, looks like your wooing worked." She teased before laughing. Something caught the corner of her eye and her eyes widened a little. "U-um careful." She warned the red head but it was too late.

Out of nowhere, he flew through the air, flipping over onto his back, a beer falling out of his hand, spilling everywhere. He looked up to see a cast of familiar faces, as well as a now alcohol soaked red haired boy he had apparently tripped over. Smiling awkwardly, he looked around at the faces around him, taking a sip of the beer still in his hand.

"Hey, what a coincidence running into meeting you guys here! How ya doing?"

She blinked a few times as she watched the fire guy get soaked in beer. She made a mental note to ask for his name after this. Aeria turned to face the newcomer and was met by a familiar face. Bug boy. Without having enough time to react, the waiter in Hjem came with blades protruding out of his wrists. Everything happened so fast and the next thing she knew, Leon already had a barrier around bug boy. Leon's scent filled her nose and she just stood there awkwardly, not knowing what to make out of the situation. "Kelner, uansett hva han gjorde, bare legge til min regning!" Leon explained to the waiter. "Oh ... Veldig godt, ha en fin kveld!" The waiter said in a surprisingly calm manner. He walked back to his stall and let out a whistle. Aeria just stood there quietly, speechless about the sudden turn of events.

"You idiot." Leon growled. "I just saved your ass from becoming the next fucking side dish!" Leon walked toward the protective barrier he had just created and knocked on it. "Bug boy tried to skip out on paying the bill, now it's been added to my tab. Oh, and the waiter wishes us a pleasant night. There, now we're all caught up on that..." He explained. "Now then... I could lower the barrier and let him out or we could let him chew his way out." Leon started walking away, putting his hand into his pocket. Aeria was still glued to the ground as she tried to process the information. She glanced at the fire guy who was now soaked in alcohol.

Marx said
"I saw a place on the way here, looked like the entrance to an underground park. Might be worth checking out." He stopped and turned around, facing the ground. If they wanted him to let Alan out now, much to his disliking he'd do so.

"Umm.. Leon? Your boyfriend right here kinda got soaked in alcohol." She said as she tried to get his attention. She walked toward the barrier he just made and touched it in curiosity. Leon's scent still lingered in the air but she was probably the only one who could smell it. When a mutant uses his or her power, that's when their scent grows strong. The same way that the smell of vanilla fills the air when she uses her mutation. She didn't know why the others were able to smell it though, must have had something to do with her controlling the wind. She opened the palm of her hand and formed a small sphere of wind that spun around in a very fast speed. She made the ball of wind touch the protective barrier but it only made a scratch. She made the wind in her hand spin faster and faster and she sharpened the edges a little bit more. It ground into the metal, successfully forming a small hole, enough for her to see bug boy. "Ooh, I did it." She chimed in satisfaction. The smell of vanilla replaced the smell of mint and she sighed, really disliking the scent. Now that she thought about it, bug boy didn't like it too. Guess even they had something in common. "Your name?" She asked.

"So," Leon started, catching up to Aeria, throwing a glance over his shoulder to make sure that Tollnak was coming, "You seem to have somewhere in mind. Something catch your eye on the way here?" It was when he was standing by Aeria that he took a moment to really look around, noticing how quiet it was. The streets were completely empty, minus the few mutants and the human run restaurant, which when Leon thought about it was incredibly odd in itself. Were the owners of the dive bar also mutants? Would the aliens really let regular humans come onto the ship and set up shop?

Aeria looked around and didn't avert her gaze when Leon came up to her. "Hmm.. I think it's strange how it's too quiet." She said to no one in particular. She looked behind her for a moment to check if Tollank had already caught up to them before taking a few steps forward as she looked at the empty streets. "The chef and waiters in the bar were mutants." She said suddenly. "Every mutant has a unique smell to them. Mine's Vanilla and yours is.." A smile crept on her lips and she looked at him, her eyes holding a glint of amusement. "I think it would be funner if I didn't tell you." She laughed lightly.

"And no, not really. Do you have somewhere in mind?" She asked. Aeria was very bad at directions so leaving this to Leon would be better for all of them. Besides, she didn't want to be the one to suggest a place, thinking that maybe Leon already had one in mind. The streets were empty, aside from the few people around. It was starting to get dark and the moon had already shone in the sky. Aeria got a sudden chill on her spine and she moved closer to where Leon and Tollank were standing.

Tollank blinked a few times, surprised mainly that the quiet little Aeria had such a brilliant freaking comeback for his little show. He promptly doubled over in laughter, almost falling off of his bar stool and his guffaws filled the room that they were sitting in. This evening was turning out to be fantastic, and quite honestly Tollank couldn't remember being this happy in quite a long time. These two people were quickly becoming his closest friends, and he was glad to have made them.

Aeria kept a straight face as she watched Tollank burst into laughter. "Tollank.. You didn't think I was kidding, Did you?" She asked, her face still serious as she tried to hold back a smile. "You should really give Leon a chance. You guys look great together." She said with a sweet smile.
Marx said
"We'll now that the cats out of the bag, I don't see any reason to hold back!" Leon said excitedly, jumping up from his seat and turning to Tollnak. "Kiss me you glorious bastard!" He said, grabbing Tollnak and leaning in, giving him a kiss on the cheek. "I just couldn't hold back any longer!"

Her face turned pale and she looked at them in horror. "Yeah.. I didn't need to see that." She chuckled as she reached for the glass of water to take another sip. She immediately placed the glass down and faced Tollank as he fell off the bar stool.
BuriedComic7 said
"Oh my god! Oh my god! You freaking kissed me! Looks like somebody should stop drinking before those little pecks on the cheek escalate!" Tollank managed to sputter out between laughs. He stood up, grabbing onto the bar stool for some leverage with the one arm he had, and took his seat once more. With one smooth movement he picked up his arm and popped it back into place on his shoulder. "Aeria, if I may say, that was the single greatest comeback I have ever heard to ANYTHING, and Leon, how you just freaking rolled with it!" Tollank wiped a tear from his eye

She looked back at Tollank and raised an eyebrow as she feigned innocence, "That wasn't a comeback. That was the truth." She smiled. She was gonna keep this up and she had no plans of taking it back anytime soon. "I'll be back in a second," Leon said, walking past Aeria, and giving her a pat on the head. She didn't answer but looked at him as he approached a red head and ordered food for him. As he went back to his seat, Aeria sighed and faked disappointment. "So now you're hitting on another guy? Poor Tollank.." She shook her head in disapproval. "Hey, Aeria. Your best buddy's here." he chuckled. She looked behind her and spotted the bug boy. She just shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly before looking back at Leon. "Oh, are you crushing on him too?" She joked. She picked up her fork and ate the last piece of lamb on her plate before giving him a smug look.

"Anyway, I don't really care what Shigganeth's plans are. Besides, I don't want to worry about what's yet to come. If time comes where we'll have to fight, I wouldn't mind." She said casually, her facial expression back to normal. Her eyes were cold and her face held no emotion. She took the glass and drank the remaining water before getting down the bar stool. "Just tell me when you wanna leave." She said and walked to the opposite direction of the food stand.
I ship Tollank and Leon all the way ;) Hahaha
Did you guys maybe forget that Tollank is blind... hahahaha

Edit: Nevermind. Seems I missed to read one line in Buried's post.
