But lately, the taffic here has been really slow, and I unfortunately have lately lost interest. So, as to not act like a dead weight to everyone here, I'm going to drop out of the RP. History

Life Before The Apocalypse

Born into a prudish family, in a mediocre home, in the mediocre countryside, Sylvia, and her older brother Nicolas, grew up together. As their parents were never around, Nicolas acted like a third parent to Sylvia, while also being her friend, as her wild nature was only matched by her brother's. And as the years passed, Sylvia's parents did start having more of a negative effect on her life. They grew extremely controlling, micromanaging every aspect of their children's life in the hopes of building a designer child. Sylvia and Nicolas quickly got frustrated with this, feeling constantly boxed and unable to feel free, the two ran from home in a burst of frustration and need.

They had no idea where they were going, they just knew they wanted to be far away from their parents as possible, in regular teen angst, they were also too proud to turn back, so deeper into the wild they went. They grew up like street urchins, half-starved and constantly filthy, that same determination that drove them out of their house was running out. But just before they finally were about to quit, Sylvia was visited by a loa within the swamp they took refugee in. He promised protection and guidance to the children, for a price. The two, seduced by the idea of total independence and power, joined him.

Sylvia and her brother lived fruitfully after the encounter, the two were able to set up a small shop, selling their craft and home remedies, with a little help from the supernatural. Her brother Nicolas never did get into the craft, he much preferred staying at the side watching over his sister while she preformed the taboo rituals and offerings. Sylvia never did get in contact with her parents, she was more than happy to live her years in her little shop near the swamp with her brother.

Life Leading Up To the Apocalypse // What Brings You to Altsoba

Time passes, and soon Sylvia soon grew bored of her passive life style, there was so much going on in the world and she barely got anytime to indulge herself in the joys of the world, there also was a more sinister side to her boredom. She was bored with her power, influencing others into her store was helpful, but she desired the more flashy and powerful craft, and visiting somewhere that was brimming with magic might possibly unveil new kinds of power to her. Waving her brother goodbye and in charge of the store, she packed what little she had and left for Altsoba under the guise of going on vacation. The rumours about the end of the world didn't phase her a bit, if they truly were going to die, she might as well live the few remaining days she had left.
