XD that would require some major magic and we have two other characters with spiritual magics. Two ways ethereal weapons to be made. Trap a small amount of magic within the material world which would time out rather quickly. Sort of unique enchantment magic. Or constantly pour magic into the hand to materialize a magical weapon and keep the flow going. That would be majorly dangerous for your people and also have a small time limit.
As for the shape shifting deal. Also, great magical cost if you are literally turning yourself into the creature. however using that as armor would be less consuming but still great. Callig the elemental however would be the least of all three OR just gaining powers of said elemental instead of turning into one.
