Since we're navel-gazing here, I like to think-were Cub a more common Orc-I'd be capitalizing on the destitute nature of Hammerfell by claiming lands for Orsinium.

Red was the song that cut through night
That hung purple-gold, the moon like a knife
Silver and gleaming, it shown as he cried
That red mist of letters bubbling inside

His eyes wet with grief, his tongue much the same
Drowned in a dry ditch, he drank and he sang
Some tunes were black-blue, some diddies white
But none like the red that filled him that night

Onward he rode, 'til his spurs were of wine
Dripping of red, clinking in time
Like the bottles he'd passed, to his dear brother's wife
Red as the words that filled him that night

His pistol was tarnished, his pride much the same
Led by the moon, and his muzzle's flame
The flash it was blinding and led him astray
Though the iron has cooled, the red's here to stay

Black were the sobs that cut through the night

I've skimmed through a bit, I saw one about Canada, one about New Zealand, the coincidences are a bit strange considering the others in that book are "down home folks, jess e'rry day folks" (the dude wrote a poem about how much he loved raisin pie ffs)

So this happened. I've recently come to possess a few old poetry books (old as in, the most recent was published in 1919) and I'm thinking of making short video readings to back up the contents for posterity as I don't know how many copies remain or how long these will hold up. Since I'm going to do it anyway and we've all a fondness for the written word, should I throw the link up here when I finish one?

Don't get me wrong, Cub's hammer and armour is all he has left of his Stronghold and as such are very dear to him. There would just be more pressing matters at hand should another Stronghold Orc see him sans helmet-o, dig?

(And for your information, Cub has spent the last two years learning to repair his armour in Windhelm so there! :p)
