Sacha nods. "You're very welcome." She points to Aya's tent. "So head in there, Aya and Destin will be with you shortly." She heads towards her tent hmming to herself.

Mona yelps in pain, then shoots Liwei an irritated look. "You going to help?!"

Dione limped into the medicine tent, clutching her side. She glanced around at the supplies Aya had gathered through the year, wondering absently if those would last them through the winter.

Liwei's shoulders rose, but he kept his hands on the wheel. "I'm driving, ladies," he barked, beads of sweat forming on his forehead.

Misha clawed at Mona, then scrambled over the back seat and into the back of the van. "You guys are crazy! Homicidal maniacs! Totally awful child killers!"

Sacha laughs a bit. "Yeah, of course I will." She smiles slightly. "Soon as you are given a stamp of full health, you can help inthe search, I promise you that." She says gently as they walk into the camp.

Mona sighs heavily and quickly grabs the girl, putting her hand over her mouth. "Do you want to go to social services, be put up in foster care states away? If not, tell us where your friends are!"

Dione nodded. "Thank you, Sacha," she said, a bit less worried than she had been before. Of course, she was still anxious to find where Ambrose had gone and if he was alright, but it made her feel better to know people would be looking for him.

"No!" she yelled through Mona's hand. She jerked away and then turned back, biting into her hand.

"You are going to rest, and let the healers look you over. I'm going to send out various search parties to see if we can't pick up a scent or a sign of them." she says firmly. "We'll find him, I promise."

Mona quickly locks the window. "Hey, we just saved your sorry ass. And you still don't trust us?" She looks at the girl sadly. "We don't want to be associated with people who hurt children."

Dione made a shrill whine. "Sachaaaa." She let out a dramatic sigh that wrenched her side. With a wince, she shrugged in solemn acceptance of her condition. "Fine. But you have to tell me the second you know anything, even if I'm sleeping or something."

Misha glanced out through the inches of open window she had managed to unroll before Mona locked it. They were well into the town, now, but she couldn't tell if anyone was around. She pressed her fingers up to the glass, crawled towards the hole, and shrieked at the top of her lungs. "Help! I'm being kidnapped!" she wailed, banging on the glass.

Sacha sets a hand on Dione's shoulder. "Likewise. If you need to talk, I'm always here for you, okay?" She smiles softly before looking up as they approach the Rabin camp. She sighs heavily, shaking her head.

Mona sighs heavily, shaking her head. "Stop scratching the van." She spots the town up ahead, to the north of the two groups. "Okay. So we're almost here. You'll have to show us where your...friends are located."

Dione looks out into the woods one last time before crossing into the clearing. She sighed. She knew she wouldn't have the energy to search for Ambrose all night, but every part of her body - at least, the parts that weren't aching - told her to do everything in her power to pull him back from whatever dark hole he had fallen in. She looked back at Sacha. "What are we going to do?"

Misha froze. "No." She unbuckled her seat belt and edged towards the door, body tensing in suspicion. "Nope, you can let me out here. I can walk back." She grabbed the door handle but it was child-locked; instead, she began unrolling the window.

Sacha nods, smiling weakly at that. "Yeah, we go way back, before I was even leader." She exhales. "This group is my family. I love each and everyone of you and I'd hate to think of anything bad happening." she looks at the sky and sighs. "I just hope that he's okay..."

"Almost. I'm surprised you don't care about that boy." Mona comments with a shrug as she watches the scenary change to more of a forest-y one. She glances at Liwei. "Poor boy." She whispers.

Dione nods gravely, lips pursed. "I know how you feel. I'm going to do whatever it takes to get him back - I'd do that for anyone!" She pauses for a moment, wrapping her arms around herself to bite off the chill of a sudden breeze. "I just don't want you to think you're in this alone."

Misha snorted, fingers falling to the van's dusty upholstery and entering an anxious scratching motion. "Fine, lady," she hissed through gritted teeth. "Be all righteous, be all sad." She shook her head, face turning to a scowl. "I'm a bad guy for being hurt and not knowing who you're talkin' about."

Sacha sighs heavily, still feeling bad. Her group mates were her responsibility and one was missing, possibly dead or horribly injured and she was helpless to help.

Monasighs softly. "I guess..." she whispers, tears in her eyes. She liked Ambrose and didn't like feeling like he was hurt.

As they approach the camp, Dione slows. She casts a concerned glance at Sacha before gently resting her hand on the other girl's arm. "Don't beat yourself up about it," she said, voice gentle but firm. "He's your friend, too. I know you care about him and want him safe just as much as I do."

Misha lets out a short huff and collapses back against the seat. "Are we there yet? I want to put this whoooooooole deal outta my head forever."
<Snipped quote by xiaomiau>

Sacha nods. "I'm sorry Dione. We came out hee for Ambrose, your boyfriend, and you got hurt in the process, and we don't even have him to show for it..."

Dione gave Sacha a weak but warm smile. "Don't worry, Sacha. It's not your fault." She pressed forward, side aching with each step but a fierce determination in her eyes as the limped towards camp. The thought of staying still and healing while Ambrose was still out there was something she simply could not accept.

Misha shook her head, squinting at Mona's naivety . "Pretty sure they'd hurt anyone to get what the want, genetics irregardless."
<Snipped quote by xiaomiau>

"We had to...he sacrificed himself so we could get you out..I'm sure he'll be fine!" Even though Mona didn't believe that, she really didn't need Misha freaking out on her. She bites her lip. "Don't worry, we'll get him out...sometime."

Misha shook her head. "No, um.." She scratched her head. "Nah, I don't believe you at all." She let out a bitter laugh, her eyes cold when she glanced back up at Mona. "You know what they did to me in, like, an hour? Can you imagine any longer?"
<Snipped quote by xiaomiau>

Sacha nods slowly. "That we do." She nods a curt farewell to Jayden and Elauna. "Are you going to be okay?" She asks Dione. "Feel free to lean on my shoulder if you need you." She offers, hating to see a groupmate in as much pain as Dione seemed to be.

Dione smiled softly. "Thank you, Sacha, but I'll be fine." She focused on steadying herself as they padded back through the woods. "So.." she started at they edged again from the Broms. "No Ambrose. No rude Brom girl." She shrugged, then corrected herself. "Well, we certainly found one of those, but not the right one."
Misha frowned. "Uh.. yeah, there was someone with me, I guess." She gave a vague shrug. "I just.. not really clear." She was silent for a few moments, staring at the desert dunes and sparse flora passing by outside the window. Then, after a long pause, she sat up straighter and narrowed her eyes. Her voice was shrill. "Wait. You left another shifter in the hell factory? What the fuck, ya huge asses?"
