Lucien glanced at Faolan and shook his head. "He says they called him Snake.. but that isn't really a proper name.." He muttered. It seemed mostly like an alias.. but the fact the boy hadn't given him anything else worried him a little. Did that mean he originally didn't have one? This would be something he'd have to ask him later. Maybe he could help him come up with one? In the end the decision was the child's.

He turned slightly to get a better look at Faolan's composure. He seemed.. strained, and while he knew the situation that had just passed was not the best, he didn't think that was why he was being like this.

"Be careful, Faolan, you don't want to break the wheel do you?" He lightly joked, before pausing for a moment. "What's on your mind? You have that look on your face that tells me a lot of thoughts are going through your head." He said. While he knew they had.. jumped into this whole situation, if Faolan had further concerns, he wanted to hear them. After all it wasn't just him who was in this, and while he was completely willing to take responsibility for this child, he didn't want to force it on Faolan. He supposed they would have to be clear in how things would be moving forward..
Ivory could tell that her little comment had pleased Geralt, it was notable just from the look on his face. She hoped he wouldn't get too used to it, simple comments like these were easy for her to make, only because they were factual. She wasn't about to intentionally flatter the man to win him over, she had no reason to, but she would at the very least display cooperation. There was no need to make this harder than it was.

Lucien was quiet during Cora and Geralt's exchange, not finding necessary to intervene. He was also proud of Cora for how fast she caught on to the things they taught her. It was clear that her extension of knowledge was much, much larger than when she had first joined them. There was nothing Lucien loved to see more than this type of progress.

"Well, I suppose we're all done utilizing the Big Top for now? I'm quite looking forward to how things will go tonight." Lucien spoke up, about to take hold of the handles of Cora's chair, but then let his arms fall back to his side as he saw the Siren's intentions to do it on her own. Ivory walked off the the chair she had tossed Illy's scarf into, and wrapped it around herself, ready to go back out. She was glad she wasn't going to have to spend the rest of her morning in practice with Geralt, at least. She was looking forward to some peace until it was showtime.

Lucien heard the engine roar to life once more, signifying that the coast was clear. He looked at the boy, who seemed to relax a little at this.

"We've lost them. They won't be able to find us now." Lucien reassured, giving the boy a peace of mind.

"R-Really?" He asked.

"Yes, Faolan's trick worked, they think we're long gone by now. We're going to travel through the night to head into the next state, to make sure to knock them completely off our trail. I know that you've had a really long day. You should try get some rest while you can." He told him.

For a moment, Lucien rose from his chair and headed to the back of the trailer. He opened a drawer and pulled out a large blanket. It wasn't something he hadn't needed too much in a while, considering Faolan provided him with enough warmth as it was, but he figured the boy would need it. He returned to him, and opened it for him.

"That's.. for me?" He asked.

"Of course, i want to make sure you're warm. You should try to get as much sleep as you can. I'm going to be up front with Faolan, but if you need anything at all, just call for me okay?" He told him.

Snake wasn't really used to.. such kindness, but he took the blanket anyway, and placed it over himself and his snakes. He hadn't felt warmth like this in a long time.

"Thank you.."

"You're very welcome." He said, before moving back to join Faolan at the front of the trailer.

"I told him it'd be best if he got some sleep." Lucien paused for a moment as he spoke, before turning to look at the Irishman. "We've made it past the first hurdle.." He said, reaching for Faolan's hand and giving it a small squeeze. "I knew we would."
Ivory had to stop herself from rolling her eyes at Geralt's words. He truly acted.. quite humble when Lucien was around. Considering what Geralt had originally wanted to do, she could imagine that he was not quite satisfied with the fact things had ended up going this way, but she wasn't about to comment on it right now. Play the player, she had to remind herself. It was harder than Lucien had made it seem.

"You are being quite modest. Things wouldn't have gotten this far if you had not been willing to tell me at least a little of what you were capable of." She said, deciding to play along for now as she jumped down from the stage. She could tell that Lucien was a bit surprised by her words. Complimenting Geralt of all people was difficult for her, but there was truth to her words. If he hadn't told her, it would have made things more difficult and annoying.

"Thank you, Cora, though it's not nearly as hypnotizing as your song." She complimented, before looking at Lucien, who let out a small chuckle.

"It's just a small rule of thumb, Cora, that a magician never reveals his secrets. Their performances are supposed to be filled with mystery, so it is a lot more exciting for the audience if they do not know how it is he performs all of his tricks." He explained, knowing there was no way she would have known this. Magic was still a bit of a foreign concept to her.

Lucien trusted Faolan's instincts, and decided not to protest to his decision. If he had figured something out then he trusted him to see it through. The nephilim had his eyes on one of the side mirrors as they went, and sure enough, he saw a pair of headlights. Part of him grew wary, because if the vehicle had caught on this quickly, then he wasn't sure if they'd really be willing to lose them. Still, Faolan did not seem concerned, so he figured this was within his calculations. He grabbed on to one of the straps as Faolan made a sharp turn, for a moment grew immediately concerned for the boy, and rose to his seat, heading to the back to get a look at him.

"Are you alright?" He asked the boy in German. He was still on the cot, so it seemed that the boy had managed to hang on.

"Yes.. what.. was that?" He asked.

"We're trying to lose our pursuers, I'm sorry that I couldn't warn you sooner."

"It's okay.. did.. you lose them?" He asked, sounding clearly worried, having pulled his knees up to his chest.

At this, Lucien opened the curtain of the window every so slightly. He could see the headlights of the car that was following continue on in the direction they were heading, as Faolan had intended.

"It seems so, but we're going to wait a little bit here until we know for sure okay?" He told him, causing the boy to nod.

"Do.. you want your friend back?" He asked, extending the small wolf in his direction. This caused Lucien to smile.

"I want you to hang on to him until we're completely out of trouble okay?"

The boy nodded, and Lucien's gaze went back toward the window. The headlights of that car had eventually went out of their sight, nothing but a flicker in the distance. They sat there in silence. Part of Lucien wondered how long it would take the driver to realize they were no longer following anyone. He knew Faolan was waiting until they saw them return for them to finally take their leave. Sure enough, after about twenty minutes had passed, he saw those headlights return. He could only assume that it was the same ones as before, as no one really had a reason to be driving on these roads so late. Eventually the car zoomed past them, and it was then that Lucien knew for sure that Faolan's plan had succeeded. Upon realizing he no longer knew what direction to go to, their pursuer had decided to double back to the circus, and would be returning empty handed.

He let out a relieved sigh. "Looks like we're in the clear.."
Ivory knew it was coming, but she could not deny that the feeling still threw her off at times but she no longer had any problems retaining her balance as Geralt swapped places with her. This time around however, she tried to focus on the physical feeling itself, as Illyana had asked of her. This time she was able to notice that it was not a cold feeling that she felt from this, but a warm one. It was like the heat was enveloping her body, but it wasn't so extreme that she was bothered by it. The strangest part for her was the fact that it originated from her feet and made it's way up, which was strange, because one would think if it was some sort of.. energy, it would originate from where he had touched her, but that was not the case. These were all the things she could take note of this time around, the process was too fast for her to be able to pick up anything else, but she'd be sure to try again the next time it was done. She would have plenty of chances to figure it all out.

She was snapped out of her thoughts by Geralt's words, and then stepped back onto the stage to see Lucien's reaction.

The Ringleader was surprised, but certainly pleased, giving them both an applause. He recalled seeing the magician do this the day before when he had gone back to his second act, but he wasn't really able to see that previous dark smoke among the silks. It was very well hidden, and with the lighting the audience would be none the wiser. Honestly he was surprised to know that Geralt could utilize whatever this ability was to teleport people other than himself. It was impressive, and definitely useful for this type of situation. Unlike Ivory and Akane's transition, where they had to misdirect to pull it off, this made it so it was not necessary at all, making it less risky but more mysterious, because the audience would have no idea how it was done.

"You're too modest, Geralt. That ability of yours is indeed very impressive, it makes this transition go quite smoothly. I must say I'm impressed with what you to have come up with. It certainly adds some aspects of mystery, which is exactly the mood we want to set before your own show begins." He analyzed.

"I commend both of your efforts for coming up with such a thing in such a short amount of time, and Ivory, those last minute additions were also spectacular. I'm sure the audience will be pleased." He praised.
Lucien watched Ivory begin her climb, for a moment surprised to see her reach the top again. It was not often she went all the way back up after having come back down, but he was curious as to where it was going. He didn't have to wait too long, as he then watched her drop. He had seen these drops in play before, but never to this long, and from the top. If he didn't know any better, he would have been worried that she could get hurt, but of course that did not come to pass.

Her fall seized, a few inches from the ground as the dhampir hung upside down by her ankle, before she quickly flipped to her feet and begun a different dance, one whose choreography he had never seen before. It was definitely new. He watched her move through the silks in an elegant fashion, and took notice of an increased pace as she began to become almost lost within the silks, until she had covered herself with them completely, and both Lucien and Cora completely lost sight of her.
Snake sat where he had been placed, eyes trailing around the trailer. It was a relatively nice kept place.. and it was warm. It had been a while since he had ever really been.. comfortable. The boy was used to sleeping on the forest floor, and the cage he had been practically living in. He wasn't too hard to accommodate but.. he couldn't deny that this place was more comfortable than what he had grown used to. He glanced down at the stuffed wolf he was still holding. He recognized it, because he knew it was a product their circus held. It was.. odd for him to see the man with it, considering it was sometimes a thing he saw children have when they came to see him. He didn't think they were this soft..

He glanced down at the snakes that had curled up around him. The striped brown snake was now resting around his neck, almost watchful. The sound of the engine roaring to life startled him, but he didn't say anything, used to traversing harsh roads because of the paths the circus would decide to take when they were headed to their next performance destination. He was glad that whatever Lucien had done had made the sickening effects from before go away, or he might have grown nauseated from the sudden movement of the vehicle. While.. he had no idea where they were going.. he honestly didn't care. He was just.. glad that he could get as far from Johan as possible.

Lucien raised his eyebrows in surprise at the direction Faolan had decided to take, giving the map a glance. "What are you doing, Faolan?" He asked, wanting to know why he had decided to head in the direction of town. If he thought about it, it would most likely be the place they would go look for them first.
Lucien didn't think the drive would be too bad, it was the best he could figure out for right now, since they really had to make this sort of decision on the spot. The nephilim grimaced at what Faolan had said, not liking the idea one bit, and was very reluctant to agree.

"That won't be necessary." He said, his tone determined. He'd do whatever he could to make sure that wasn't needed. The last thing he wanted to do was to leave Faolan behind, for any reason.

"It would be unwise of them to follow us with everyone they have, they have an entire circus to leave behind. If I have to use my barriers to run them off the road, I will. It'll be okay Faolan. I'm sure of it." He tried to reassure, before he reached out with his hand, placing it on Faolan's before he turned it, causing the engine of the trailer to roar to life. They had no time to waste.
Ivory gave Geralt a small glance as he spoke.

”I got plenty.” She said simply, before turning her attention to Lucien and Cora. She had taken notice of the mermaid’s expression as she seemingly contemplated to speak, until she had finally asked if she could say. Despite her typical desire to not like observers for imperfect performances, she couldn't bring herself to turn Cora down, considering how much courage it had seemingly taken to ask. Not to mention.. it was hard to even consider saying no when she was looking at her like that. Cora had come a long way from when she had first come here. This would never have been something she would have asked back then, so she could say that she was actually quite proud of the fact she had come this far.

"Of course, another set of eyes wouldn't hurt to have around." She said with a small smile, before she jumped up onto the stage.

Lucien smiled at Cora as she had asked her question. "Well since we've both been welcomed as the audience, let's leave the stage to them shall we?" He asked Cora, before he pushed her chair down the ramp at the back of the stage and came around to the other seats. He took a seat next to her, and turned his golden eyes on the two performers.

Ivory glanced down at Lucien as the two took their places. "From where do you want to see? I changed the ending a little bit.. as per.. Geralt's request. So I guess from there would be best?" She asked him.

The ringleader was a bit surprised to hear Ivory had accommodated Geralt in that manner, but he assumed that if she had agreed, it was because it was better suited to whatever they were going to do.

"From there is fine, I'm a bit curious of what change you made." Lucien responded.

With that, Ivory nodded, and began to climb the silks.
