Lucien was glad his suggestion had been accepted. He knew how Faolan could get when it came to talking to authorities like that, but he was a bit more used to doing such things. They headed for the bank, and Lucien was the one who went inside, finding it best he handle the situation alone. He had spent a good amount of time inside, partially making polite conversation with the man, but also inquiring on what it was he wanted to know.

Luckily the man wasn't too hard to get information from. It seems it had been a particularly slow day and he didn't mind the conversation. He had even commented on how odd it was that they were so desperate to sell their home. He hadn't been able to get information on where they had gone, but he had at least been able to get an address that they chose to redirect their mail to.

"Thank you so much for all your help, I do hope you have a good day." He said with a small nod, before he left to go back to the bus and share the information he had found.

"Sorry it took so long. The man quite enjoyed conversation." He said as he came inside.

"I didn't get the location of where they planned to move, but I do have the address they gave for their mail. It gives us somewhere to start. I assume it's a relative of yours. Perhaps they were willing to tell them a little bit more of where they were going." He told Illyana upon his return, handing her the paper he had been given.
Lucien let the silence remain, allowing Geralt to contemplate his response. There was no need to rush it. He had to admit he was glad to hear him admit that the way he acted was out of line. That was at least one of the things he wanted to acknowledgement to before leaving here today. Lucien was tolerant of a lot of things, but there was only so much disrespect he was willing to accept, both to his Circus and the rest of the troupe members.

The seriousness in Geralt's tone told him that he meant every word. That much he was glad for. The last thing he wanted to do was fire the Magician, but he would have been willing to do so if he showed no signs of wanting to fix this situation.

"Well.. I'm certainly glad to hear that." He said to him, watching the man move toward the window in the trailer. For a moment he let his eyes wander, as he hadn't really taken in the sights of the trailer the first time he had been here, considering the circumstances. His decour was certainly.. unique, but very like him, he supposed.

As Geralt spoke again, Lucien's golden eyes trailed back to him, raising his eyebrows slightly at his words. He.. supposed he should have expected that much.

"I apologize for prying, I was simply.. concerned." He caught the emphasis on the word friend, and for a moment he didn't want to.. overthink the situation, but there was no way he couldn't read past that, considering all the attempts and flirtations he had received from the man. Perhaps he should not have used the word friend.

Despite that, this at least made it clear that there was something going on with him.. but it was something he was unwilling to talk about. It wasn't like he had room to talk, as there were some personal things he also didn't want to share. He couldn't really blame him for it.. but it was unfortunate, that there was nothing he could really do to help him. It was hard for someone like Lucien to simply accept, but he knew better than to press people to reveal things they didn't want to talk about. It seemed there was a gate he would have to get through to even attempt such a thing, but that wasn't something the Ringleader was sure he wanted to do. It was... conflicting.

"I'm glad that's settled." He said before rising to his feet. "Please do, I would never force you to go on if you weren't feeling well. I just like to know these things ahead of time. I will leave you to get as much rest as you can before your performance. I told those that came to see your show yesterday that you had fallen ill. They will be here to see you today at the Big Top." He said.

That made much more sense.. her wanting to get back to her sister for that reason. It didn't sit well with Lucien to leave things as they were if there was a possibility they might abandon their other child. To this day the human's refusal to accept those that weren't what they considered normal still baffled him.

"I see.. it seems your sister is likely a different type of psychic... She could probably get away with hiding this for a while. We will do our best to help you find her." He told her, before glancing over at Faolan.

"For now.. it might be best to at least get a clue as to where they might have gone. It seems the home was sold to the bank. There's a chance I might be able to inquire some information from them." He said a little pensively. He was aware of his own.. persuasiveness, and this was a situation in which it would be best to make the most of it.
Lucien walked up to the chair and took a seat, giving his water a small glance. He didn't doubt what it was, he could tell just by looking at it. Hopefully he would be feeling better by the time the shows began to start, if he planned to go through with it at least. That's what he was here to find out.

"I didn't, but it doesn't mean I don't wish to make sure you're doing alright." He said, before letting out a small sigh.

"I wish to know what you plan to do, Geralt. Last night clearly was not a good night for you, and that concerns me. I admit that I'm used to your.. occasional change of moods, but as your boss, I need to be sure that you missing a show without any sort of warning is not going to happen again." He told him pausing for a moment before his eyes shifted briefly toward the wine stain.

"As your friend, however.. and I do hope that you see me that way, I'm worried about you. Are you truly alright?" He asked.
The nephilim was glad to see Faolan agree, although he could see his reluctance reflected in his eyes. raised his eyebrows slightly at Illyana's words. He could not help the smile that formed as Illyana described Faolan. Now a lot of things made sense, as to why the child felt a lot more at ease around him than most children. It seemed she could tell what kind of man Faolan really was. That.. made him a little happy. He glanced in Faolan's direction, his smile widening slightly.

Aurel glanced over at Bengal, who he had left on the cot. He couldn't deny Illyana's words. The connections he had with the snakes was undeniable. He had never met one that he hadn't been able to immediately get along with. It was strange to hear someone make such a deep observation about him.. but that understanding made him realize why she hadn't feared the snakes when she first saw them. Lucien and Faolan had always understood that there was a deep connection between them but.. it seemed with Illyana she could tell it was much more than that. It was nice to hear there was someone out there who could really see how much they meant to him.

Lucien then turned back to Illyana. "Then, we can work together to find someone who may be able to explain all this to you." He said, before pausing for a moment. There was a little bit of hesitance reflected in his tone before he spoke again.

"After we.. accomplish this, what is it that you'll want to do?" He asked her. If she wanted to stay with them, of course he would not deny her, but she had still seemed to have wanted to come back home even after what her parents had done. Did she still want to go find them despite that?

Lucien could tell that Geralt's hangover still lingered. Under normal circumstances he might have offered him help with it, but he had a feeling it would be denied even if he tried to do so. The man was silent, but he could tell by the way he carried himself that it was.. different from yesterday. He had noticed Geralt had made sure to make himself known throughout the day, perhaps his way of showing that he'd be sure to perform tonight, but he needed to actually hear it from the man himself. He wasn't kidding when he said he didn't want to make guesses anymore. He stepped inside, though not as abruptly as he had the night before. Eyes trailed briefly across the room, eyes landing on a stain he recognized as as wine.

"How are you feeling?" He asked, though the answer was obvious. Still, he wanted to make sure. This could also potentially impact his performance later. His tone was softer than the night before, his anger no longer lingering in his features, but his relatively stern expression lingered. At least this time he wanted to give him a chance to properly explain himself, if not at least provide him with the reassurance he needed.

Despite the fact they didn't personally know any seers or psychics.. Lucien believed that it would not be too difficult to find one. Any psychic with actual abilities could tell that the nephilim was not human at first glance. This was something he had realized in his travels around the country with Faolan and Aurel. They'd reach out to him in the streets, talk about how he was 'bathed in light' and 'blessed.' Faolan had never been.. particularly pleased with these people, and so he had never actually stopped for a reading. He could not deny that he had always been curious about it. There.. were so many things about himself he still did not know.

Seeing Illyana's disappointment prompted him to speak up again. Perhaps it was time they actually had a conversation with one of these psychics.

"Don't let the fact we don't know anyone personally discourage you, Illyana. I'm sure that we could find one for you. They usually.. stick out a little in the towns we go to, and I'll be able to tell if they are truthful in their skill or not. If we find one we deem trustworthy, perhaps they might be able to help you. It would be something worth looking into." He told her with a smile.

While he knew Faolan would not like this idea, considering how he usually tried to keep him as far from psychics as he could, this was something they had to do, for Illyana's sake. In their own way, they both understood what it was like to grow up confused and alone, not knowing anyone else who was like them. Illyana however, had a chance to find someone like that, and he was going to make sure she'd be able to get the help she needed.
The scream that emanated from Geralt's trailer had been heard by more than just Lucien. It had woken Ivory from her sleep, causing her eyes to shift toward the window with a furrowed brow. It had almost stirred Akane from her sleep, but not fully. She remained unaware of it's source

Lucien however had been the closest one to it. He turned toward the man's trailer. That was more than just a scream of anger or frustration. It was filled with so much pain... The Ringleader felt his chest tighten, overcome with a sadness he could not quite understand. He placed his hand against his heart, his eyebrows furrowing slightly. There was clearly.. something going on that he didn't know about. That had always been the case with Geralt. Even after the months he had been with them, he still knew almost nothing about him.

Despite that, how could he try to be understanding if he didn't know? If Geralt refused to speak with him? He hadn't wanted to be so harsh, it was unlike him, but he could not simply let this slide. It was disrespectful not only to him, but all the other performers who worked so hard to make this place successful.

The nephilim let out a heavy sigh, his anger diminishing. He could only hope that tomorrow he'd be able to get a proper response from the Magician. At this point, he at least wanted reassurance that this would not happen again. If he was unable to get at least that much, then Geralt's future here was unclear. That was something he'd do only if he found it absolutely necessary. He'd.. just have to see how the conversation went tomorrow.

----------

The atmosphere in the troupe was awfully quiet the next day. No one had really approached Geralt about anything, not even Ivory.

The dhampir would have normally made some sort of retort of what had happened, but at this point, she found it a waste of time. She had been close to thinking maybe the Magician wasn't all that bad.. until last night. Perhaps it had really only been a matter of time before he messed up this badly.

The next morning, after finishing taking into account the losses they had actually suffered, Lucien headed back to Geralt's trailer. His anger had faded by now, and the knock he placed on the man's door portrayed that. He had waited a bit more into the day, to at least allow him some time to recover from his.. hangover, but he made sure there was enough time for him to make last minute changes to the Big Top show if it was necessary.

Lucien was glad that Illyana had decided to open up about this. He didn't ever want her to feel like she couldn't be honest with them about things. Hopefully this was something she had been assured of now. Everything made a lot more sense now, and he had to admit that he was relieved that her reluctance to be touched was due to this ability of her's instead of some sort of physical abuse...

He grew pensive as Illyana explained things. It must have been hard for her to have been able to do this for so long, without any sort of explanation. It had probably been very scary for her.. but he was determined to do whatever he could to help her figure this out.

"These things you are seeing... are likely some sort of visions. During our travels, Faolan and I encountered many people who said they could.. read people, or even see someone's future. People with that sort of ability are normally called psychics. Perhaps this is similar to the ability you have?" He figured that telling her that there were other people like her might offer some sort of reassurance, it was at least something to go off of. It was true that not all the people they had met actually had that ability, since there were many frauds out there, but he knew that some of them were real. He knew enough at this point to not disregard such things were possible.

"Considering some of these people do this for a living, I am sure that there is a way for you to be able come to understand this power, and learn to control it as best you can. If this is something you would like to do, even though we are not experts on the topic, I'm sure we can all learn more about it together." He said to her with a smile.
Geralt's response was not what Lucien wanted to hear. In fact, he hadn't even bothered to respond to his question, and that in itself was an answer. He made no attempt to take the man's money. That wasn't what this was about. It was about integrity, and that was something the Magician seemed to be lacking at the moment, if his tone told him anything.

"I don't want your money, Geralt." He said, before turning toward the door. He could not simply pay him off and expect everything to be okay. "You cannot continue to run away from your problems. Refusing to talk about it is not going to make it go away. This is not something I will simply just let go. You're an adult, and sometimes you have to take responsibility for your actions. I expect to hit this conversation again when you're sober." He said, before leaving the man's trailer.

Was he disappointed? Yes. Angry? Even more so, but he would not continue to waste his time when he knew the conversation wasn't going to go anywhere. He'd give the man another chance, when he had a clear mind and would hopefully end up reflecting on what he had done. Tomorrow was the Big Top show, and he hoped this was not something he would have to deal for that too. He had to resolve this before then. Irked, Lucien headed back to his trailer. All he could do for now was hope that this time would allow Geralt to come to his senses.
