Lydia slowly surfaced from the clutches of sleep though she kept her eyes closed, too content to move. She snuggled close to the warmth she was pressed against and nuzzled her face against it, not wanting to move. As she laid there she felt herself start to doze off again.

Lydia just shook her head and pressed closer to Jason as she squeezed her eyes shut and grasped his shirt in her fists. She curled against him, trembling as more thunder boomed and lightening cracked.

Lydia opened her mouth and was about to make a retort when the words died on her lips at the sound of the thunder in the distance. She froze, eyes wide. She slowly got up and walked over to where she had heard his voice. She curled up next to him, fingers barely brushing against his pants to reassure herself that he was there. She was fine for a few minutes but soon a loud crack of thunder rang out and the girl jumped, letting out a yelp as she dove against Jason's chest and buried her face against it, body trembling and cat ears flat against her head.

Lydia frowned as she grabbed ahold of her tail to stop it from moving on its own. "You know, not everyone has telepathic abilities. And frankly I think it would be a relief not to have a million voice jabbering through my mind. I know it might seem scary because it's different but you'll get used to it." She said, a bitter tinge to her tone at the end. She could relate; after all, she hadn't been blind her entire life.

Lydia, feeling something lashing behind her in anger. She reached back then hissed again when she felt a tail. She growled, ears twitching in irritation as she sat there fuming. "So what did they do to you?" She asked in a disgruntled voice. "I felt metal on your arm and I'm pretty sure you didn't have that before."

Lydia felt her cheeks flush and scrambled out of his arms, almost tumbling to the floor. She curled up in a ball in front of him. "Yes, I am some how purring. And they gave me some kind of serum and it made me..change into a cat. So I don't know if I can shift into other animals or just a cat." She said. Suddenly she winced and doubled over as her body jerked and spasmed. It was over in a few minutes but she felt...different. Something stirred her hair and she reached a hand up only to gasp and jerk her fingers away when she encountered something fuzzy. "D-Do...Do I have ears?!" She cried, mostly sightless eyes wide.

"My eyes are glowing?!" Lydia exclaimed, raising a hand to touch her face like that would help her be able to see them. She felt an arm suddenly wrap around her and flinched in surprise. However, no matter how much she tried her body refused to move away and instead cuddles closer to the warmth emitting from him. She nuzzled her head underneath his chin as her chest began rumbling. Her eyes widened in shock. Was...Was she purring?!
