Autumn jumped at the sudden voice that rang out. She glanced up before hesitantly looking over the food selection. She put a few chicken fingers on her plate, nibbling on one. She didn't feel all that hungry though and so she mostly sipped on her water and kept her eyes down. She would occasionally peek up at the others but then she would look back down again.
Mary in the mean time was calling Autumn names and teasing her, trying to get a rise out of the little girl and make her stop ignoring her. Nothing irritated Mary more than being ignored. Autumn resisted the urge to cover her ears. That would just make her look weird and it wasn't like Mary's voice was on the outside; it was all in her head.

Hi I'd like to join ,but I was wondering is it ok if my character was a little different. He would still be human and looked human and I'll have a reason to back up why he looks a little different. Again its nothing majorly different about him.I love your signature and name ^^
Hey, um, Lyra, can Alistair and Aery be SMs? Just sayin? I think it would be an eye-opener for both of them, because Aery will get SO ANGRY at him at some point and her calm blankness will just shatter.Sure, I don't mind ^^

Feeling eyes on her, Autumn lifted her head, blinking when her uncovered eye meet the gaze of a girl. The girl didn't stare at her long, it seemed she was doing that to the others in the room as well. Autumn, gathering her courage, looked at the other people in the room as well. The most glaring thing was that they were way older than her. Her mind flinched away from the reason she was there in the first place, pushing the memory to the back of her mind.
The child looked back down at her lap, something she does a lot. She petted her stuffed bunny's head, the action calming her nervousness. She didn't like it here. She just wanted to go home. Maybe...Maybe Daddy would come rescue her soon. She held onto that though desperately, clinging to it as one would cling to a life-saver.
