"No little one. They cant fix it. They tried when I was younger. But there is nothing their can do for it. Katherin explained. She tilted her head. "I understand now. Your friend is someone no one can see. Then you must be special like me. I can control ice and snow. she told the younger girl. She turned her head towards the new voice. "Come join us. We are waiting for someone to answer the do."

Autumn felt sad for Katherin. She would never be able to see how blue the sky was or how pretty the sun looked when it was setting? At the mention of Katherin's powers Autumn's eyes widened. "Like magic?" She whispered in awe. You're normally not so talkitive. What changed? I dunno. I like Katherin though, she's nice and she didn't try to tell me you weren't real! At the sound of a new voice, Autumn turned, the child giving the new person a shy and timid smile.
I can make another character if need be.
Autumn looked down at her Charm, which remained dark. She heard her brothers teeth grind together and she turned, the words "Are you okay?" dying on her lips as she saw her brother holding his brightly glowing charm. His eyes meet hers, distressed. Alastair knew there was a high chance of them being separated on this Journey but now that he was faced with it, he didn't want it to happen. Autumn gave her brother a tender smile and wrapped her arms around him. "I'll be fine. Promise." She whispered in her ear. He held onto her tightly for a few minutes before slowly withdrawing his arms as if the action caused him pain. Autumn gathered up her things, kissed her twin on the cheek and headed out if the building. Alastair watched her until she disappeared then all his breath whooshed out of him. He barely heard the voice address him and he turned, seeing the girl from the picture. His eyes dropped to his Charm, which was glowing as bright as it could before his eyes drifted back to her. He was silent for a minute before he replied in a quiet voice. "So it seems." Autumn boarded the train and picked a window seat. As the locomotive began moving, Autumn immediately took out her sketchpad and began drawing her soulmate. She had memorized his image and was now copying it down in her pad. One eye was kept on her Charm though, watching it for signs of when to get off.
"You can't tell? That's good. Although its probably because i dont have my cane. It's suppose to be here with the other things. Not that I have much. But the benefactor sent so things here. Im blind Autum. I cant see your friend. Is your friend invisible? I had an invisible friend when I was you ger. Katherin told her honestly.

Autumn blinked at this piece of information. She was now able to see that while Katherin was looking at her she could see that her eyes were not focused. "Can they fix it?" She asked curiously. At the others question Autumn feel silent. "People can't see or hear Aiden like I can. But just because you can't see him doesn't mean he isn't real, he is. Autumn said, afraid Katherin would scold her like every other adult she had meet when she told them about Aiden. The child looked down. "Daddy says I'm a monster because of the things I can do." She said, eyes filling with tears as she sniffled.
Katherine laughed softly. "It is nice to met both of you. My name is Katherin. I am new here. I am hoping that they will let me stay. The benefactor assured me they would. But sometimes people can't handle my disability. She explained.

Curious despite herself, Autumn spoke up again. "Dis...Disa.bilty? What's that?" she asked, struggling to pronounce the word. She asked Aiden in hopes that he might know but he was just as clueless as her. They hadn't heard that word before. The little girl brushed back her bangs as she stared up at the girl. After a few more seconds she spoke. "You...You don't seem to care that you can't see Aiden even though I talk to him." She stated in a confused voice. Most older people would have given her a strange look the moment she mentioned her twin. Though some passed it off as him being an imaginary friend.
Ib jumped almost a foot into the air as one of the others tried to shoot the paintings. A shiver flashed down her spine and she glanced nervously at the paintings surrounding them. A flash of blue caught her eye and she had to look again to make sure she saw what she actually saw. As if in a daze, Ib took staggering steps towards the painting hanging to her right. The small child reached a hand up, trembling fingers brushing the frame. It...It couldn't be. Same frayed jacket, same odd hair color. It was him. There was no mistake. Knees as weak as noodles collapsed under her, unable to bear the weight of her grief. Crimson eyes remained fixed on his peaceful face as tears streamed down her face. Sobs, at first the silent shake of her shoulders, trickled out into the dead air of that room. Out of all the things she had seen in that horrid place, this...this was the thing that broke her. The feeling she had gotten when she had seen her parents portrait came back ten times as fierce. Gary...Gary had been her lifeline, the only thing that had kept her going through that nightmare. Ib sobbed, feeling just as lost and scared as she had been the first time the artwork started coming alive around her. Her fingers clenched at the painting, tiny shoulders shaking. What...What had happened? Why Gary...Why... Ib curled in on herself. She didn't care if the others were looking at her like she was crazy.
The portrait of a man in a frayed jacket, the peaceful expression of Ophelia carved onto his fair face, the blue rose clutched in his folded hands, it all might mean nothing to you. It might mean everything to girl in red.

Whatever happens, we're together. Aiden promised. I know. We can do this. Autumn replied, taking a deep breath as she towed her suitcase up the steps and to the door. She stood on her tip-toes, struggling to reach the doorbell but she was just too short. Aiden stepped in and used his power to ring it. Autumn smiled at the space over her head where his form floated, visible only to her eyes.

"Hello?" Katherine called out questioningly. She was almost sure that there was someone on the step with her. Actually she wondered if there was more than one. But she had been wrong before. She didn't want to not greet someone if they were there. It didn't matter to her if she looked foolish if no one was there.

Autumn stared up at the older girl with bright blue eyes. She clenched her stuffed bunny tighter to her chest. "H-Hello." Autumn replied in her small, quiet way. Who's she? Aiden inquired. I dunno. Probably someone that lives here too. She answered back. "I-I'm Autumn. And this is Aiden. He says hi." Did not. Shush, you need to be more nice to people. He just grumbled in reply, falling silent.
"We're here." The cabi told her gruffly. Autumn turned her watery towards him, sniffling. The child had been crying ever since her parents had put her in the taxi and gave the driver the address to take her to. Autumn sat there for a few moments before being told to get out. She nodded and grabbed her suitcase, struggling to pull it out of the car. A sudden shove allowed her to pull it free and Autumn thanked Aiden quietly. Once she was out of the vehicle it drove away, leaving the little girl there to stare up at the building in front of her. Whatever happens, we're together. Aiden promised. I know. We can do this.
