Yuè Xià Lǎo stood at the window, looking out at his expansive lawn. The elderly man had his hands folded behind his back as he gazed out the window with eyes that had a look of agelessness about them. His flowing white beard was trimmed and held together with a neat black bow; he was dressed in slacks, a dress shirt, a vest and a black tie. His cane was in its usual place in his hand, the dragon's claw winking in the light flooding in from the window. A young man with raven black hair cut in a style where it's short in the back and longer in the front and bright red crimson eyes. He placed a gloved hand over his chest and kneeled on one knee. "The preparations are complete My Lord. We are ready to receive them." He said in a smooth, flowing British accent. The old man stirred, glancing behind him at his servant. "Thank you Sebastian. They should be arriving momentarily." He said in a low, melodic voice; a voice that did not fit his appearance. The head butler nodded and stood, striding away as he gave orders to the other servants standing by. Yuè turned to gaze back out the window, spying a boat docking at his docks. "And so it begins. I do hope their hearts can handle it." He mused to himself.

A young girl with auburn hair and burgundy eyes dressed in a long skirt and sweater stepped from the boat and onto the docks, shading her eyes against the sun as she gazed up at the manor resting on the top of island, glittering in the sunlight. As her eyes alighted on the grand building her mind starting whirring with all the possible drawings she could do with the way the light was hitting the windows. She also knew that their was going to be a great view from one of those windows of the ocean and she was itching to strode up the path and into the house so she could get to drawing.

The girl turned and smiled slightly at Alessa, a girl who went to her school. They had never really talked before, being in different social groups. Arabella had seen the girl in passing but never actually talked to her. "Isn't this exciting?" She said in a voice with a light and airy quality to it. Her eyes happened to glance down and she squeaked quietly, jolting forward and almost tripping over her feet as she scurried to grab her luggage that she almost left on the boat.
