Hidden among humanity

Miyuki soon reached the park and she walked inside, happy that not many people were occupying it. She wandered around for a few minutes before making her way to the playground. She sat on one of the swings, her feet not even coming close to touching the ground as she sat there. A wind blew by, making her long white hair blow around her and fall into her face, which she idly pushed back. She sighed, looking at the ground. Her and Mamori's parents death anniversary was tomorrow and she honestly wasn't looking forward to it. Mamori would be brooding and silent all day and Miyuki knew she wouldn't be able to stay in the house with him like that so she wondered where she would go. She contemplated taking a walk in the forest by their house but with her lack of direction she would get lost in minutes. She sighed again.

Mamori stood in the kitchen, cooking eggs and bacon on the stove. His icy green eyes raised and he glanced at the clock on the microwave. 9:00. His sister should be up soon. As if summoned by his thought he heard the soft tread of feet and soon his sister appeared in the kitchen doorway. Very much shorter than him and with whiter hair, their green eyes were really the only thing that marked them as siblings, though hers were a gentler green. He nodded to her in greeting as she padded in on socked feet and sat down at the breakfast table. It was silent but they both preferred it that way, Miyuki being quiet by nature and Mamori just feeling the need not to talk. It was only when he set a plate down in front of her and sat down himself that she broke the silence. "Do you have work today?" She asked softly as she picked up her fork. "Yes." Was his only answer as he began to eat. "Is it alright if I go to the park?" She asked. The elder though about it for a moment before nodding. "Yes, but you are to keep your phone on at all times and the ringer on the highest setting." He said. Miyuki agreed and the two continued their breakfast in silence.

Once done, Mamori collected their plates and took them to the sink to wash. Miyuki sat there for a moment before she stood and announced she was leaving. Mamori nodded as the girl left to retrieve her shoes. She called to him at the front door before she left, shutting it softly behind her. The girl walked down the sidewalk, enjoying the nice weather as she headed towards the park.

Mamori finished the dishes and slipped his shoes on before heading out the door as well.

"I am very shy and kind. I can never say a bad thing about anyone. I love helping people and I will do everything I can to make them smile. I have never had a boyfriend or love interest before in my life so I am very innocent about a lot of things. I don't judge people and I can always see the good in people. If someone confides in me or tells me a secret I will take it to my grave so I guess you can say I can be very reliable. I am also honest. Even if it's something bad, I will not lie to someone, even though I will hate myself for hurting them with the truth. I can be really oblivious about a lot of things, especially when it comes to love/flirting. I also have a problem with speaking in front of a lot of people; I get so terrified I just sort of freeze in place and am unable to say anything. I guess you could also say I trust way too easily. I also get embarrassed and flustered way too easily. I can be very insecure about myself and my body and i tend to second-guess myself a lot. I can become upset very easily and am very sensitive. I can also be very clumsy and tend to trip over my own feet a lot."

Mamori is a cold, stoic, and arrogant person who shows little regard to the lives of those around him. He is, more often than not, willing to leave those who slow him down behind. Despite his words, Mamori frequently saves those around him, and even puts his own life at risk, though he does it grudgingly and openly complains. Mamori is more or less emotionless; only anger, annoyance, and dissatisfaction showing on his face, though, rarely he will reveal a small smile but only to his sister and only if they are alone. Mamori has a very inquiring mind when there is something he cares about, but at the same time, he has almost no tenacity of purpose. If he becomes interested in something else, he will arbitrarily turn his back on what he's doing. However, despite all of this, the one and only person he will show kindness to is his younger sister Miyuki. He is fiercely protective of her and he will literally do anything to keep her safe. He loathes anyone touching her and is very liable to break a few hands and bruise some jaws if need be.

Their parents were killed by hunters and Mamori took Miyuki in and took care of her. They don't like to go into details and asking Mamori about his past is liable to get your head bitten off nad your body dismembered.

Alice, who had been about to jump off the arm of the couch, looked at her father before she quickly sat down with a bump, trying to look as innocent as possible.
