Mara glanced over at the other two people in class and bit her lip softly. Her da had told her she needed to make friends but she didn't have a clue as to how to do that. Did she just walk over and say hi? Wait for them to approach her? Oh god, why did she have to have been raised in a cave away from other people, she didn't know what in the world she was supposed to do!

Eventually, after wandering around lost for a few minutes, she managed to find her classroom. She stepped inside, taking in the new environment. The teacher pointed out her desk to her, a strange thing that students apparently sat on all day. She sat down clumsily, not used to her human form, or her legs. She idly wondered if the school had a body of water she could swim in. Her mam said they had something called a pool, which was a small body of water people swam in for sport. She just hoped no one would freak out seeing a mermaid swimming around in there.

Tough Skin and Impenetrable skin are already taken so wound resistance is sort of the same thing. I also changed his mind-reading ability to animals only. Also, the collar will limit his animal transformations to small animals and he can not change into other humans.

{Just One Yesterday}

William had already been sitting in the lobby for about an hour already, eyes closed with his head leaned against the wall. He heard someone enter and cracked an eye open, seeing a girl his age. He closed his eyes again, not caring as he waited for this ridiculous experiment to start. Why he was picked of all people he would never understand and frankly, he would rather be anywhere else but here where he was going to forced to socialize with people. Wonderful.

A car pulled up, a door was opened and a small girl was shoved out. She yelped, tumbling to the hard pavement as her luggage was thrown after her, most of it landing on her tiny body. She peeked up, meeting the angry eyes of her step-father before the door was slammed shut and the car drove away, the wheels barely missing her foot. Willow sighed and picked herself up from the ground, collecting her luggage. She faced the building and felt her heart jump up into her throat as she thought about what she was going to have to do. She blinked back frightened tears and made her way to the door. She avoided the doorman's eyes as she stepped inside, her cut lip and bruised cheek like a beacon that screamed "Look at me!" She quickly hurried over and sat down, eyes fixed firmly on her feet.
