I'm Yami, a college student and sometimes decent artist heavily influenced by anime/manga styles. Um...I'm not that interesting, really. I do some cosplay stuff and can get really into anything that interests me enough, but that's about it.
I might be in a bit of a slump right now, actually. I'm looking for something really fascinating to pique my interest once again, help me get back into the swing of things. I'm into crazy fantasy situations, especially.
"Those sound like very useful skills to me, Miss. Being able to hide well is always a good thing, I think. And I can't even remember how often I forget important information, even if it's something simple." She smiled slightly at the small joke before turning to the boy who had just entered the room. "Hello, my name is Mocha. Ah! Your hands...are they alright? I can help i-if you need it."
Kyo nodded in agreement to Dante's statement; he didn't know the full extent of her injuries, but he was fairly certain that Katherin probably wouldn't be able to move very easily after the abuse that she had just endured. He tried to give a reassuring smile, hoping that she would understand that they could handle this. They did have their own tricks, after all, and he could probably carry her at least a little further.
The oddly strong scent of iron coming from Dante was making him wonder a bit about what had happened after he had left the cave, though. He would have to ask once he got his 'voice' back and just hope that he wouldn't try withholding information from him again. Which reminded him: They still hadn't eaten, had they?
Kido sighed quietly, nodding a bit. "I still don't like it. But I don't think that matters to them." He pushed the food around his plate a bit more before he tried eating it again. He wasn't sure what else he was supposed to do, but he was certain that he probably didn't have very long. Maybe an idea would still come to him, though. He couldn't give up just yet. "I guess I need to learn the rules first, huh?"

Hmmm... What about a few pictures of things that aren't what they seem at first? Then an narrator comes on and says "Not everything is what is appears to be. A young prince learns that lesson the hard way."
Hmm....... .........There might be an idea I can use with that........It actually kind of relates directly to one of the big things we learned in class, anyway...
"Everyone...I'm sorry...I didn't mean to..."
"I won't fail again. This time...this time, we'll make it."
It all started with an innocent statement: "There's a weird house about an hour outside of town," or something like that. Nobody seems to remember exactly who said it first, but the rumor circulated quickly among the youths of Torrine. Eventually, one way or another, a group of kids ended up in front of the large and curious mansion. Of course, they came on a sunny Saturday afternoon, with plenty of time before it gets dark so they could safely take a look. Everything is fine, and the place is fairly normal looking, even.
At least, until someone notices something strange about the large mirror in the front hall.
While we're on the topic of strange things in this house, does anyone even know that transfer student? And does anyone else feel an odd sense of deja vu?
--------
So, the goal is to find out what occurred in this house and find a way to open the front door or otherwise get out. I'll admit that this is based on Ao Oni and a certain variation on it, but you need absolutely no knowledge of the games to play. Solve a few puzzles/riddles, discover what's going on in this house, avoid and/or defeat the monsters, and get out: It's that simple.
Exactly how does it work? Just use the information provided. My goal is to use any and all IC means to guide characters towards certain plot points while allowing them to make their own decisions and allow for proper character development.
What exactly will everyone do when they discover the truth, though?

Appearance:

Bio: (Any length is fine, TBR is fine.)
Worst Fear:
Other:
[hider2=???(Optional)] Make a Wish: (One small ability that the character would want (This will have some relevance later))[/hider2]
Appearance: (This one's an earlier version, but I'll get a new picture up later)
[hider2=Temporary pic][/hider2]
A bit shorter than the average 16-year old boy, dark brown eyes and nearly shoulder-length auburn hair.
Name: Kido Järvinen Vanhanen
Age: 16
Personality: The odd transfer student!
A very cheerful, optimistic character, he seems to have a very sunny and perhaps naïve view on life at first glance. He really cares about the people around him, but may have some trouble really understanding them at times. Nevertheless, that won't stop him from trying! While he might not be the most physically capable, and his perceived common sense may come into question at times, he does appear to have a thing for drawing and painting. However, his artwork tends to reflect his childish nature most of the time.
He may act a bit strange at times, but isn't everything else strange already...?
Bio: (TBR) Exactly what he is doing here is unknown, but he says that he was just curious about the house and came to see if there was anything there.
Worst Fear: "Having to survive on human souls is a pretty terrible one."
Other: He carries a sketchbook on him at all times. It seems that he likes to draw in it quite often.
Kido also seems to like wearing girls' clothing sometimes. It all depends on what he feels comfortable in at the moment.
Make a Wish: ??? (TBR)
Accepted Characters:
Alex (tathgon)
Nicole (Ejected)
Toby (Rin Okumura)
Isaac (SayZun)
Carrie (nerminator)
[hider=House Log]
This is an up-to-date description of the currently known rooms in the building and their conditions upon last being seen.
Ground Floor
[hider2=Front Hall]
[i][b]Front Hall
It's oddly clean in here so far. Three hallways connect to the end of the room ahead, one leading left, one leading right, and one continuing forward. The hallway to the right leads to a locked door, and a few of empty picture frames hang on the walls. The left hallway leads to what appears to be a living room of some sort, and the one straight ahead leads past a staircase. Not much of the upper floor can be seen from down here, but there seem to be a few other open doorways if one continues to follow the hallway instead of climbing the stairs.
A little ways away from the door, on the right side of the front hall, there appears to be a closet door. There might be a couple of old coats inside, but nothing else of interest seems visible.[/i][/b]
[/hider2]
[hider2=Living Room]
[i][b]Living Room
It's a fairly large room with a few various pieces of furniture for sitting in and a small table with a vase of daisies in the center. There is a fireplace at one end of the room with a few pictures above it, and there seems to be a theme of cream and soft red colors throughout the space; even the rug under the chairs gathered around the center appears to follow the theme.
~~~~~
Fireplace Pictures
These frames actually have pictures in them! Most of them are small groups or couples of various people, but one features a bright-eyed toddler sitting in the middle of a ring of juggling balls...
Hmm? The large frame in the center actually holds a mirror. Even though there's some dust around the pictures on the mantle, the mirror seems oddly untouched.
[/i][/b]
[/hider2]
[hider2=Right Hallway]
Right Hallway Door:
There's a bit more hallway past here, but it seems to end in another door. This one doesn't appear to be locked, and nothing is on the walls leading to it. No windows are visible in this hallway, but light seems to be flowing in from somewhere...
Right Hallway Door #2:
There's an odd engraving on this door. The image appears to be split in half, with the left showing an angel and the left a demon. The demon is faded, but there appear to be some small circles lying around it in a larger formation. The angel seems to be holding a daisy and book.
...Something appears to be drawn in the book, but it's faded.[/hider2]
I know how that goes. Wish I coukd help. It's an interesting tell. What sort of proposed? Like to sell it as a comic or cartoon?
It's my final project for school this semester, so I can't actually be paid for it this time around, but it's a treatment for either a full-length film or a television series. It's basically supposed to end up as a sort of guideline for how I want it to look on the big screen under my own interpretation.
