Roxy told them Kido was shocked by the news, but it only served to trouble him more. "Roxy...what is going on?" He looked up again, listening for the sound of the bell when she pointed it out, but he couldn't possibly care about food with this going on. "We...we just need a little longer. There has to be something that we can do now...at least block off the door until we have a plan...or..." He looked over to the door again, then back to Roxy. "Can we hide you? If someone distracts the man out there, can we move you from here and find a place for you to recover while we figure out what to do?"

Runo didn't much like the idea of running through; even though it was getting easier to move on these legs of his, he still wasn't sure that he could run very well yet. Turning back behind him, he hoped that Shea was still with the group. He wanted to know her opinion about the situation, since it seemed like nobody had really asked yet. He was pretty lost as it was, and he'd heard a lot from the others, but he wondered what she thought so far. Was she as lost as he was?

Runo was finally starting to figure out how to balance on his new legs. It was still a bit shaky, but he was upright for now, so that was something. At least until Tanikazi's yelling startled him into losing his balance. Letting out a squeak, he fell against the tank's glass, arms flailing for something to grab on to. Ending up mostly on the floor again, he looked up over at the yelling creature again with a slightly upset look. He didn't understand why the furry-eared one was so angry about seeing them or what a "robot-floaty thing" was. And a taser? That wasn't something he was familiar with either, but it sounded like maybe it hurt a lot. Leaning on the tank, the recently bipedal merman pushed the slightly long hair out of his face and attempted to stand up again. Legs were tricky...was he really going to have to run with them already? Sighing, he took a few shaky step forward, almost falling again at several points. As he grabbed on to the doorframe on the way out, he felt a little bad about wanting to leave the tank; he knew that he was expected to keep up, but how could he do that with new appendages that he'd never used before? It was way better than being stuck like before, but he was probably going to slow them down like this. Maybe he could stick to the walls, at least.

The merman was more than a little surprised by the change, though he really wasn't sure what he had been expecting in the first place. It was strange, but not bad at all from what he could tell so far. It was kind of cool, actually! Kicking his new legs around in the water for a moment, he marveled at how different they felt, though it was definitely a little difficult to get the movement right at first. At least he had seen it enough to remember what it was supposed to look like. After a few seconds of messing around, he noticed Akila reaching out to help him get out of his prison and felt a little embarrassed not to have been paying attention. But, ah well. This was still exciting to him, so of course he would get distracted at least a little... No, no, they had something important to get done, that was right. A little sheepish that his attention had been so easily pulled from what should have been his primary objective, he took the girl's hand in one of his own and used his other arm to hoist himself onto the edge of the tank. Kicking his legs over was a bit difficult at first, but soon he had it and was ready to jump down. He just hoped that he would know what to do when he touched the ground. ...As it turns out, he really didn't get landing or standing all that well, but he was out! He was on land, and once he stopped falling, he might actually figure out how to move the way he had seen all the humans do so. This thought alone was pretty incredible to him!

Okay, then. I can work with that.

Kyo attempted to sigh, an action that was yet again thwarted by his usual issue. He still didn't know the cat's name, but at least he had managed to introduce himself properly. That was still a victory, even if it was a small one. Tucking his tablet under his arm for the time being, he went back to looking around the room, wondering if he would ever understand what was going on with Mike or anything else going on today. Everything was confusing him again, and he kind of just wanted to either go read in his room or go explore the rest of the house. He had finally decided that there was probably no way for him to find Liz until she came out on her own, though he hoped that she wouldn't have to skip meals because of it. Still as unsure about everything as usual, he took his seat near Katherin and Pyktis again and placed his tablet on the desk. Yeah, maybe it would be good to go get a book and just find out where all the quiet spots in the building were. He bet that there were a lot of them around...
