Ah! Sorry I'm late! I'll have the CS up tomorrow!

The merman was starting to be able to breathe again, if very painfully. All he could manage were very short gasps occasionally between periods of holding his breath, but it was something. The cigarettes were making him nervous, though, an he made an attempt to stand and move away from them. He didn't want his throat any more irritated than it already was. He was still pretty shaky on his feet, but he managed to make it a few yards before he had to stop. It wasn't until after another short for of coughing that he realized that he had been asked a question. With the small amount of red liquid in his hand again, he dropped down to the floor to write again. *Both. Swan song. Tired.* It was a bit more than was asked, but it felt like an explanation was necessary. He hoped that the source of water Akila had found wasn't too far away.

The boy stared for a moment, but smiled happily again and skipped around the girl. "Well, I haven't had a good look at the room down the other hall down here yet. The door was locked when I got there, so..." He shook his head and pouted a bit. "Did you manage to get in? What's in there?"

Maybe I'll bring him back a bit later, but I might try something else for my first character.

Hmm... I'll have to think on it more, I suppose. I want to develop Kido's character a lot more, but I feel weird about how I've been going about it. I don't know what I want to do with this.

Mocha nodded in agreement, but soon realized that probably wasn't 't the best way to communicate. "Okay...but we should probably find a light source we can take with us first. There's no sense in anyone going around blind, especially in an unfamiliar area." Tugging slightly at Jade's arm, she looked around for a moment before attempting to tug the other girl in the direction of what she assumed was the kitchen. "I'm not certain if it's the same here, but most houses usually have candles or something in the kitchen, right? We should try to get some if we can."
