Hello! Nice to see you, eh?

I'm Yami, a college student and sometimes decent artist heavily influenced by anime/manga styles. Um...I'm not that interesting, really. I do some cosplay stuff and can get really into anything that interests me enough, but that's about it.

I might be in a bit of a slump right now, actually. I'm looking for something really fascinating to pique my interest once again, help me get back into the swing of things. I'm into crazy fantasy situations, especially.

After typing out a quick "Thank you" to the housekeeper, Kyo quietly began eating. He rather liked pancakes, they were warm and kind of sweet. All in all, he considered them to be a bit comforting like that. After a short period of time, though, he started to notice some faces that he really didn't recognize at the table. He hadn't interacted all that much since arriving here, but he hadn't even seen at least three of the people here at the table before.
CS incoming!
Kyo entered the dining room, nodding toward the others already present as he sat down at the table. He realized that he was actually pretty hungry since he had been up for a while now, and he wondered what kind of food would be served that day. Whatever it was, he would probably really appreciate it as it was. The food he had gotten here was way better than most of what he had eaten in recent years.
Felice stuck out his tongue for a moment and grabbed the rope in his hands, unhooking his legs so he spun around upside-down a few times before his leg was completely released from the rope. He felt his breath hitch slightly for that one moment as his body swung down and around freely until he could wrap his legs back around the rope below him. Safely secured again, he slid down to the bottom again and took his place away from the others on the ground.

For the record, what Runo just did makes a lot more sense when you consider his fear of sharks. So if he's flicking blood onto someone else...

Giving up on licking the wound closed the rest of the way, the merman took one last look, satisfied that he had managed to close up the outer areas, at least. The top and side of the wound were back to normal, but the back was still bleeding and the bone beneath remained broken. The most he could do now was attempt to spit in the still-open part of the wound and hope that the saliva could do its work on its own. It felt a little less painful, anyway. Finally able to take his mind off the dulled pain for a bit, Runo stood and approached Shea, placing a hand on her arm and giving her a look of gratitude. The furred one didn't seem to understand that he had been trying to protect him just as much as the new female entity they had encountered, but the merman could appreciate that at least the scientist cared about the well-being of her companions. Even if she might have been told to turn them over as prisoners, he had a hard time seeing her as someone untrustworthy. For the kitsune, however, he flicked some of the blood from his shoulder onto his face. He decided that it was lucky that the significance of such an action in his culture would go unknown by him. Any further action was halted at the sound of another voice as yet another completely new entity entered the room. Pushing Shea behind him with his good arm, gently this time, he prepared himself to defend in case it showed any signs of aggression. Oddly enough, it only seemed to be trying to communicate, so he started to relax slightly. He looked curiously toward the hybrid girl as she seemed to be the only one to understand what had just been said.
No big deal. It makes sense considering the demon.
Another weird idea of mine! As always, suggestions and questions are totally cool to bring up, so feel free to post them! Oh, and interest, if it's present. That's always helpful.

Story: The Magiers Schwarzadler Hospital is an establishment that takes care of many kinds of people in many kinds of difficult situations. Unlike many other hospitals, though, this place was developed as a means to provide care for those a little different than most. Various kinds of people come through this hospital and rehabilitation center, some of them not even human or with characteristics different from most humans, and all for various reasons. Whether it's a physical ailment, a curse, or another sort of trouble, Magiers Hospital prides itself on providing excellent care wherever possible. In addition to the regular and magical hospital treatments, Magiers is also now offering a program that helps the younger patients get to know others like them while they are staying there. This new experimental program was said to have been implemented by a certain eccentric higher-up to assist in providing emotional support for young patients, but exactly what will be the result?

It'll definitely be a few days before I can work more on this, but I'll just leave the idea up here for now in case it sounds interesting to anyone.
Devon grinned at the message, happy to see that at least someone liked it. "Nah, not really. It doesn't normally hurt unless I try too hard. I'm not very old yet, and my side of the family's a little different from the rest of it, so it's taking me some time to ease into it. I'll be able to control my shifting way better when I'm older, though! This isn't even my final form!" Still excited, the teen clenched both hands in a sign of child-like anticipation. There were so many things to look forward to! Just not for another few years, mostly. Maybe several, actually...

Runo winced; apparently he couldn't twist his body enough to reach certain parts of the injury with his tongue without causing himself further injury. The small surface that he had been able to reach was healing nicely thanks to the saliva treatment, but this clearly wasn't something he could completely fix on his own. This is why it's important to have a pod, he thought sadly. For a moment, fear ran through his brain before he realized that he probably couldn't be attacked by sharks on dry land. Thankful for that, at least, he was able to calm down fairly quickly. ...But what if there was an air-breathing shark somewhere in this structure? There had been plenty of other creatures he hadn't even dreamed of meeting in here, so why not? It took quite a bit of willpower to keep from completely panicking at this thought; sharks were a very real and common threat to his way of life, so it was hard not to be nervous whenever he bled a lot. A little rattled by the idea still, he completely ignored what was going on around him and tried again to go back to licking the wound closed, even though he knew that it wouldn't be possible to complete it. The back was still all smashed up beyond his reach.
