Oh my god, if this is how every fucking post with Emphatic is going to be than even in my decaffeinated state I realize this shit isn't for me. I can't deal with this kind of dumb argument routine in an RP where suspension of disbelief is cool unless it happens to ruin your super special character. I'm outie-9000, yo. Tell MrDidact I said peace.

can't you just wait until MrDidact gets back?

Well, I found out that he's picked a sound level that would instantly deafen everyone, and somehow conflates throwing balls of air with the physics of the situation.

Second, the wind only has a range of two feet away from his body. He cannot project this wind any further from his body than two feet. That means the sound is obviously not projected infinitely in every direction, it dissipates. Emphatic does not shoot liquid balls of screaming air at people.

his sound doesn't travel far so admit that you made a mistake

Your proposed solution is 'because this causes collateral damage, give the character more powers'. Mine is just 'remove the part causing problems'. I think mine makes more sense and doesn't fix a problem by buffing a character unnecessarily.

read LeeRoy's post that he made just now and see your mistake please

Well, the line right before it was 'I hope it's not 747 level thrust', and it has nothing to do with any other arguments I've been making. So my arguments are not questionable.

still the fact that you have no problem with magic but have a problem with my solution just seems ridiculous.

Realism is only an issue when a power is based off of realism, which this power is because it's based off of how super-speed like this would function.Ignoring realism is good when something isn't intended to be realistic(I greatly prefer ignoring it honestly though for some things it's good), but this power is intended to be. At least that's how it reads and was attempted to be executed, which is the root of the problems.

then just go with my solution and let him be able to control the sound waves and air currents.
@Raineh Daze, one more thing, your video only applies to a jumbo jet and not a fighter plane, size counts so your argument is questionable

Because some pretence of realism is desirable, eliminating them is more plausible than directing them whilst moving at supersonic speeds. Also, the Flash and Superman aren't in this thread. They are bad examples.

the moment you bring in magic then realism is debatable, and controlling sound waves is a common super power so once again this is superheroes, almost anything is possible.

Or add a hand-wave based on the fact there's current research into eliminating sonic booms (or reducing them), and thus he can just not make one, rather than getting another method of attack.**Admittedly, one half of this seems to be 'stick a big spike on it', which is amusing as a way of reducing things.

What's wrong with him using sonic booms in a controlled way? tons of heroes do it, I read tons of comic books so I know what I am talking about. His character is no where near as powerful as the Flash or Superman.
Hadrian watched as the girl almost crushed the ceiling and he was impressed with her show of strength.

"I wonder if my tentacles could be tested out with some strength training" he said as several large green tentacles emerged from his body.
okay fine here's a solution that puts an end to all of this, he can edit his CS so that he can control the sound and power of the noise he creates and the sonic boom, so he can direct it at the bad guys without hurting his teammates.
