all Metahumans controlled by players will be on the same level of power unless they choose to have weaker abilities. So an Axis Metahuman with superhuman strength will be on the same strength level as an Allied Metahuman with the same power.

James didn't really listen to the speech in the auditorium but he did hear the instructions for freshmen and when the speech was done, he left for the dorms in the house of earth. He didn't have trouble finding since his analytical power allowed him to deduce where the houses were and he found the dorm. once inside, he found a place for his things and then decided to go look around the academy after he set his stuff on his bed. he walked down the corridors looking for any other Virgos that were attending the school.

First off lafreeze would get rekt by kyle rayner or hell even superman prime. Second of all comic and anime power scaling isn't very different, at all. If anything Squirrel Girl could defeat any anime character ever.
