Finn woke with a start and was panting heavily and sweating. The place where he slept was dark and he wanted to get out of the pod quickly. he had been in the mind of Baragon and had seen his escape from the facility where the monster had been kept. he was almost frantic as he tried to get out of the pod and scratched at the material of the sleeping pod. he opened his mouth to call for help and to his utter shock, a beam of heat came out of his mouth and burned away the lid of the pod. He was in complete shock at what he had just done, and after that he tried pulling himself out of the pod. when he did that he noticed a change in his hands. instead of being like human hands, they were red and scaly and had long sharp claws. How could this have happened? did it have something to do with the blood transfusion? Finn didn't have time to think, just then the door to his room opened and a nurse by the name of Sally entered with a few other workers at the facility.
"What has happened here Finn? did you cause this?" she asked him looking at the burned up pod.
at first Finn did not say anything but he found his words after about a moment of silence, "Y..yes i did do that, i shot a beam of incredible hot energy and destroyed the pod."
the other doctors with her, looking at him and the pod with shocked expressions on their faces. they also took notice of his strange arms. Sally came over to do a quick examination of the mutated parts of his body. first she looked at his arms, and then she noticed that his shirt was wearing weirdly. she lifted up the back of his shirt a bit and almost let from surprise. instead of having smooth skin on his back, there were reddish plates of bone sticking out of his back.
"You're mutating Finn, your body biology has change" she told him, and this made Finn feel even more uneasy.
"what the hell is happening to me?! how did this happen?!" he asked in a panicked voice .
"It's alright, we will try to figure this out, everything will be fine. i need a blood sample to find out the cause of the mutation and to know whether or not this is an evolved form of the X-virus" she reassured him. Finn was still scared and felt like he wanted to flee, but he tried to keep calm.
"okay" he answered, and Sally took out a syringe to use and get a sample of Finn's blood. after she was done with that, she looked at him.
"I am sure everything will be explained when we run a few tests with your blood" she said to him. just then a loud explosion came from another room, and caused the room he was in to shake. the other people in the room gave shocked cries and were finding things to hold onto.
"what the hell was that?!" one of them asked.
"I don't know, but we must find out, Finn stay here, i will be back soon" she told him, and Finn nodded. she and the others left the room and headed for the place where the blast had happened. even though he was told to stay in his room, he chose to ignore it and followed after the doctors and nurse. the went straight for the room where they had left the patient named Alex, Finn had not gotten a chance to talk with the man and had only seen him a few times. they quickly got to the room and went in to see the pod in the chamber was blown apart by what looked like a blast of energy. Finn saw standing in the room with a nurse close by, and a closer look allowed him to see that the 21 year old had an eye that was different in color to any normal human eye.
"what has happened here?" Sally asked the nurse, and Finn was standing behind, hoping that they wouldn't notice him.
just then, Finn heard a deep earthy voice in his mind, "Who are you? I can hear your panicked thoughts."
Finn was surprised by the voice that was talking in his head, he almost didn't respond but he managed to say, "M..my name is Finn sir, what's yours?"
"I am Baragon" the voice answered, and Finn almost panicked. what the hell was happening to him.
