Tyler had finally put the candy in his mouth, his lips spreading into a small smile when he realized it was his favorite flavor, watermelon. It had been nice of the boy to notice that he was nervous and give him the lollipop. When Tyler was nervous, he usually took to one of several habits in an attempt to distract himself from the feeling, whether it be picking at his nails, biting the inside of his cheek, or idly scratching his arms. The taste of the candy in his mouth was able to distract him just as well as any of those methods. Not particularly looking for the boy who had given him the candy, Tyler found himself looking around the auditorium as he listened to his brother and Alyssa talk.

"Unless he doesn't like speaking to people?"

The comment caught Tyler's attention, though he kept looking around the auditorium as if he hadn't heard it. He wanted to interject, defend himself, tell her that it wasn't that he didn't like talking to people, but he was just terrified of saying the wrong thing or being a bother to anyone. But the conversation was already moving on, and it wasn't like Tyler would've worked up the courage to say any of those things anyway. He bit down on the candy a little harder and returned his gaze to his lap, hating that he couldn't just talk the way everyone else did. Undiagnosed social anxiety be damned.

Evan listened as Alyssa talked about her love for dancing, happy that she would be in Performing Arts with him. "Wow, it's really admirable that you've stuck with dancing all these years," he commented. One of his older sisters, the one he had grown closest to before she went off to college, had been into dancing at one point. She was one to take up a hobby, dabble in it for a while, then grow bored of it and move on. She had taught him to play piano and cook when she was interested in those things, and they were two things Evan still very much enjoyed doing. "I'm taking Performing Arts too, though I'm in it for the theater. I was in a lot of plays in middle school and my first year of high school, but then I started to move around a lot and couldn't join any theater programs. Until now, that is. And I'm taking Home Ec. as well."

Evan had just finished speaking when someone new approached the group, claiming to be the one who had given Tyler the lollipop. Tyler looked up at the familiar voice, a light blush staining his cheeks again when he spoke directly to him. "I-I'm sorry. I didn't think, um." He looked back down, not sure how to go on. He wanted to thank Jeremy properly, wanted to mention that it was his favorite flavor, but he just didn't know how.

Luckily, Evan had plenty of practice covering for Tyler's lack of conversation skills and picked up where he had left off. "That's my fault, actually," he said with short laugh. "I got the thought in his head. My name's Evan Lance, Section A, and he's my brother, Tyler, Section B." He smiled at Jeremy and held out his hand. "So, are you the school's resident Candy Dealer?"

Absolutely! c:

Oh, and I didn't get to include my characters' reactions to Rose in my post, sorry about that! I figure it's already long enough as is, so I'll include that next time.
Tyler had watched as Evan tapped on the shoulder of the girl in front of him, but quickly looked away, a slight blush already coloring his cheeks. He knew he would get pulled into the conversation one way or another, and would probably end up embarrassing himself. He idly listened as Evan introduced himself to the girl, but his attention was drawn away from the two when someone approached him.

"You look a bit nervous, but here calm your nerves with a lollipop."

Tyler's blush grew a shade darker as he accepted the candy. He was barely able to stutter out a thanks before the boy left. He immediately turned to Evan, whose attention was focused on the girl as she replied to him. Evan shook her hand and smiled. "It's nice to meet you too, Alyssa." Evan glanced over at his brother as Alyssa greeted him, puzzled to see that he was now holding a lollipop and blushing. "This is my younger brother, Tyler. He's in Section B too." Evan took care of Tyler's introduction for him, which wasn't a rare thing amongst the two. Tyler glanced at Alyssa briefly and gave her a nervous smile and small wave, before looking back down at the lollipop he had yet to unwrap.

Evan quirked an eyebrow at Tyler, an amused air about him. "Where'd you get the candy?"

Tyler shook his head a bit, still confused by what had happened himself. "Um, this kid gave it to me, then left," he replied, his voice unsure, seeming to fade off at the end.

"Well, it's probably safe to eat. I doubt someone would go through the trouble of drugging a lollipop." Evan chuckled as Tyler looked at the candy even more closely before cautiously unwrapping it. He turned his attention back to Alyssa. "So, what extracurriculars are you signed up for?"

Sure! :D Thank you <3

No problem! <3 It's posted. c:
As it turned out, the man who had walked onto the stage was still making preparations before giving what Evan assumed would be an opening day speech. He redirected his attention to the rest of the auditorium, taking in his surroundings. The sound of the piano and the chatter of students mixed surprisingly well, instead of sounding like the noisy catastrophe the hallways did. The auditorium had a more relaxed air to it, though the undertones of first day anxiousness were still present. Even Tyler seemed relatively at ease, though Evan noticed that he had resorted to one of his nervous habits, picking at his nails.

"Tch, stop that," Evan scolded his younger brother quietly, knowing he would be embarrassed if any attention was drawn to him. "Your fingers will start to look disgusting if you keep that up."

Tyler breathed out a small sigh and crossed his arms over his chest, sending a soft-hearted glare up at his brother. Evan returned it with a grin, knowing Tyler wasn't really mad at him. He then swept his eyes over the auditorium one more time, his attention drawn to the girl sitting directly in front of him, or rather, the girl's hat. It looked a bit odd to be worn with the school's uniform, but in a charming manner. Well, I might as well make some friends while we're waiting. Evan gently tapped the girl on the shoulder.

"Hey, I like your hat," he said, his friendly tone matching the relaxed grim he wore. "My name's Evan Lance, Section A."

I could, if you don't mind c:
In all seriousness, this is the most well organized RP I have ever seen. With such a hard-working GM and friendly group of roleplayers, I don't think this RP will die off or get boring like most do. I think I speak for all of us when I say that the dedication you put into this RP is extremely appreciated, Frey. The fact that you're giving up well-deserved rest for our sake is admirable, if not unhealthy. Try getting a good night's sleep soon lol

Someone get her a medal. Free RP GM of the Year Award goes to you. cx
Oh, that'd be grand. Poor Tyler would be a wreck while his mischievous doppleganger runs around causing mischief in his name cx

Name
Cyr Aglaope

Age
17

Gender
Male

Biography
Cyr's mother was a beautiful siren, a creature known to lure men to their deaths with soft melodies. His mother wasn't the same as her sisters, who were vain and ruthless in their seduction. When she saw humans holding hands on the beach and taking each other out on romantic boat rides, she longed to have a man who loved her as well. So after her sisters led a boat of sailors to wreck their ship, she saved one of the men from drowning. He soon woke to see a woman beyond any mortal beauty, but she refused to speak, fearful that her voice may make him attracted to her. She wanted to have an honest courting, and they did indeed. The two shortly fell in love, or so she had thought. He was a man of the sea, and after a month he left her without a word. The only thing to come from their relationship was a broken heart and a baby boy, with eyes as blue as the ocean. Cyr's mom couldn't possibly raise a child, so he ended up in a foster home until he was old enough to be sent to a boarding school exclusively for monsters. He doesn't remember anything of his mother, though sometimes he swears he can hear her voice just as he's falling asleep, as if she were singing him a lullaby. He wants to meet her someday. Little does he know it was the story of his parents that inspired Disney's The Little Mermaid.

Personality
True to his siren roots, Cyr can be extremely flirtatious. He has almost no sense of personal space and tends to act affectionately toward everyone, even if he's just met them, though no one is immune to his playful teasing. He's not dumb with his words, having an affinity for literature and sarcasm. He's certainly the type to get jealous, and has a strong competitive side. Once someone gains his trust, they'll see his gentler side, and he'll probably insist they cuddle while watching movies. He's more human than the other monsters attending the school, both in appearance and in the way he acts. Though he has the ability to manipulate and seduce anyone he wants with his voice, his moral standards prevent him from doing so unless provoked. Overall he's playful, even acting a bit childish from time to time, and tries to be friends with everyone he can.

Other
Cyr can manipulate the emotions people feel by singing different melodies and has a strong connection with birds, as older sirens have been associated with the creatures. His voice has an even stronger effect near bodies of water. He's very skilled at playing piano and violin, though he's yet to find any instrument he couldn't master.
