Name
Nathan Royale

Age
17

Personality
Outwardly, Nathan's a friendly guy, albeit a bit awkward. He may stumble over his words or get flustered, but he means well. Due to his upbringing, he's become distrustful and insecure, but he tries his best to make sure no one notices. He hates feeling like a burden to anyone, and will distance himself from someone if he thinks he's getting too attached. He's sensitive and takes all words to heart.

Reason
Nathan has been battling depression, anorexia, and self-destructive behavior since the beginning of high school. He kept quiet about it, but the school counselor took notice when his usually stellar grades began to drop. His parents were notified, but they were convinced he was simply going through a phase and acting that way for attention. They didn't show any interest in getting him help until recently, after Nathan came out to them. Appalled, they sent him away to Camp Improve under the guise of wanting to get their "straight smiling baby boy" back.

Other
As was mentioned above, Nathan is gay. He prefers not to tell anyone, due to bullying in the past and his parents' negative reaction.

You could try looking up a list of mental disorders online. Here's one.

Trying to jump back into the IC is like trying to do an obstacle course blindfolded. XD I have no idea what's going on and I have missed so much. I know that I only need to read one post from Frey but I am not sure what all the characters have been doing......

Welcome back! There's a small group of students in the principal's office (Conner, Maiko, Alois, Masaru, and Kirra) there to get their sections assigned to them, except for Conner, who came in because Masaru was having a breakdown about his backpack. Everyone else is going to their classrooms. Patrick's in Section A, which is where a majority of the action is taking place right now. I'd recommend reading the last page or so to catch up, but basically everyone's just talking.
I'll have a CS up for a male camper soon!
Sure, I just thought that it might be easier to keep the groups for the activities a bit smaller, so we don't have sixteen kids all in one place. Like have two cabins doing an activity at the same time instead of all four. They would all eat meals together and be free to sit with whoever they want in the mess hall and at the campfire, and they could hang out with whoever they want during their free time as well. But whatever you want to go with is fine.

lol yeah I can't wait to see how that one turns out cx
HollywoodMole has a point. If they wanted to, a camper could just slip off during a hiking trip.

As for the cabins, my suggestion would be having four cabins available, four campers and one counselor to a cabin. We could split the cabins up by gender (two boy cabins and two girl cabins) or have two boys and two girls in each cabin. The counselors would be responsible for the four kids in their cabin, and they can take their cabin to do a couple of camp activities each day. For example, Cabin A might go canoeing with Cabin B in the morning, and then do an arts and crafts project with Cabin C in the afternoon.

That's just an idea, feel free to modify it as you see fit. ^^ Also, we could work in some kind of "Campfire Group Therapy" thing each day, where they all sit in a circle and roast marshmallows while talking about their feelings and past experiences.
Thanks! c:

I think either setting would be good. I was starting to like the camp idea a bit better though. It'd be fun to do things like hiking, canoeing, and campfires with a bunch of dysfunctional teens.

Maybe we should make a poll? Unless you're dead-set on the dorms, then that's fine. ^^
Sorry for hijacking your thread! We thought you had abandoned this idea. If you need any help, I'd be happy to work with you as a Co-GM! ^^

Tbh I likw the idea of a camp type thing more, maybe like a "camp" thats more like a couple acres of woods, some cabins, a lake and then later we figure out its like surrounded by electric fences and guard towers and stuff.

Hmm I like that! We could have a few cabins, maybe four characters in each, and a counselor for each cabin.

And instead of a new director taking charge, the camp itself could be new and no one knows the true identity of the man/woman behind it until later.

@archie
That sounds like a good idea for a character! We're discussing plot and setting details now though, so if you have any ideas for that, feel free to share!

By the way, since my character is Hideyoshi a trap, you know what to do right? XD

Ah, I don't know what that means, actually. ^^'
