I'm gonna try to post today - sorry for the delay.
Here's what I've written up so far. I'll finish the rest soon - I have a rough idea I just need to pull my thumb out and write it :P

Name: Klara 'Moot' Marinovski
Age: 22
Origin: Russia, no fixed residence
Residence: No fixed residence, travels with circus troop.
Occupation: Acrobat/circus performer
Relationships: Father (Vadim Marinovski, deceased) and elder brother (Artur Marinovski, lives and works in Moscow). Daniel Zikovic, a Serbian born circus clown, performer and recently boyfriend (Current whereabouts unknown)

Appearance:

Klara is fairly tall for an acrobat, standing at approximately 5’10” with a slender, well muscled and athletic look. Her skin is fairly pale but overall clear and her face has a distinctive Eastern-European look to it. She has piercing blue eyes and dark, dirty blonde hair cut short and styled in a punk-ish fashion. Her hands and feet are well callused.

Moot, when not in costume, wears a pair of baggy, black linen pants and a maroon tank top often covered with a garish striped vest that looks like it was borrow from a portly ringmaster. She adores her black, red ribboned bowler hat which her brother gifted to her. Klara generally dislikes wearing shoes but does have a pair of red converse knock-offs.

In light of recent events and rumors she has taken to carrying a painted baseball bat normally used by the clowns in her rucksack.

History:
Klara Marinovski was born to a pair of circus performers on Mother's Day - a talented strongman, Vadim "The Titan" Marinovski, and a beautiful acrobat named Natalia. Unfortunately her mother died during child birth due to complications leaving her, and her elder brother Artur, with only their stone-faced father for guidance. But being born o a circus had its benefits and the troupe became family, she taking to acrobatics and feeling closer to her mother for it. Artur was never as keen on the performing lifestyle, often clashing with Vadim with Klara mediating albeit silently.

Artur aspired to become a teacher, and it was he that taught 'Moot' (as she was dubbed by the other acrobats) sign language, both Russian and American, amoungst other things. He even helped most of the troupe to learn the former skill. When Klara turned 18 her ran away to the city to begin a proper education, leaving only his old bowler hat as a parting present.

Since then Moot has become a regular of the show at large, a truly talented performer and athlete as well as a reasonable clown. However a year ago Vadim succumbed to a heart attack and died soon after leaving the young woman heartbroken, lonely and unable to perform. It was then that she made friends with the new, Serbian clown Daniel. He lifted her depression and have recently become a couple.

The troupe has finally come into enough money and success to attempt an international performance, flying to LA in the hopes of spreading their name to an American audience.
Personality:

The first thing that strikes most when they meet Klara Marinovski is her seemingly unassailable confidence and grace, stemming as much from her experience in the circus as it does her natural strength (She is the daughter of a 'strongman'). Despite her inability to speak her body language is emotive and eye catching, sometimes mime-like. Her life and childhood as a performer has taught her that there are far more important mediums than speech when it comes to communication. In fact it has allowed her to push through her inherent shyness, appearing quite extroverted when she has composure – and she most always does.

Trust is extremely important to Moot from both sides of the deal – In her line of work mistrust can break your neck. She doesn’t think very much of outsiders until she gets to know them, generally lumping them with the rest of the sometimes vulgar audiences she must deal with. But, once this trust is earned, she looks out of them like she would one of the troupe. Of course Klara cannot always maintain composure as she has found since the loss of her father and her despair can leave her quite vulnerable – fearless becomes careless.

Her condition has taught her to be patient and listen closely but does get a little irritable when groups of people squabble or are indecisive, prone to storming off to do things herself. Klara also has a tendency to be a tad too physical or boisterous and when her temper is sprung even violent.

Starting Situation:

Klara and the troupe landed in the LAX a few hours ago, finally having entered the airport main however a few of their number have been lost in the crowd - Including her boyfriend, Daniel. Most, including her clownish lover, are not answering calls. Worried, Moot is searching the airport for them and finding communication difficult, if not frustratingly impossible.
Also thinking of making it a mute character (otherwise I'll have too much fun with zombie and soviet russia jokes)
Noir? Mutants? Plagiarism? INTERESTED.

Te he, I kid but I'm very happy to help GM this or at least participate.
I was thinking of having a foreigner too (to account for the fact that I don't have TOO much knowledge of American culture, etc.) but more along the lines of someone there for work. I've been playing with the idea of a Russian acrobat.touring with a circus.
I might prefer LA international but downtown can work just as well really. Fortunately I've been to L.A. before, albeit a few years ago now so I hopefully won't seem like the total tourist... Well, unless that's what my character is going for, naturally. :P
Strengths: Conceptually creative, good grammar and language skills, generally vary detailed or colorful descriptions and happy to not always be a major part of a plot line.

Weaknesses: Not always the best at making or sticking to long reaching plotlines and I can have a short attention span. Posting frequency may vary as I live in Australia (my timezone often clashes on this site), I'm often busy on certain days and I have chronic depression (really kills motivation). My posts can also sometimes get too descriptive and occasionally my spelling is... lacking (but I try to proof read).
I quite like the idea of different classes/types of infected actually. Adds a bit of variety and room for more complex enemy plots/attacks.
Hmm, certainly better thought out than many other zombie roleplays I've seen... Interested and happy to help refine any ideas.
I'm interested.
