Name: Father Giuseppe Cardillena

Appearance: Weighing only 115 lbs but stands at a whooping 6'3'', unnaturally gaunt, with sunken eyes and cropped black hair with a long, drooping goatee. Dead, cold eyes that spoke of inhuman terrors. A bishop's robe, with usually a white skeletal half mask masking his upper face.

Personality: The Bishop talks to God. Whatever God tells The Bishop to do, The Bishop does. A devotee since birth, a rabid fundamentalist who believes in a chain of command at which he is third, right behind the angels and God himself. He is racist, xenophobic, and believes that the Vatican should be made the sole superpower of the planet, even though the Catholic Church had, long ago, ousted the man from the Vatican for these exact reasons. A torturer and sadist who believes criminals and most Metahumans are only worth torturing with Inquisition-era devices and his dark magic; the few exceptions are people who either prove themselves worthy in his eyes or those who he thinks are also God's messengers. However, he knows how to find and recruit religious zealots, war profiteers, and anyone who could help his cause to join in to help his cause. His cause being to purge all sinners in the fires of Hell forever.

History: Born to very poor parents in the city of Pisa, Father Cardillera learned suffering at an early age when his parents were both subjected to an illness that killed them both. He was left homeless until he was adopted by his grandfather, Giovanni Cardillera, who was one of Mussolini's Blackshirts. He gave him a message that haunted him to this day, cemented into his skull by child abuse and an oppressive household. "Follow His every word to the last letter. Anything less and you'll be nothing but scum who doesn't deserve the life they were given. He was contacted while working as a Brother in the Vatican. It claimed to be God (it, of course, was not- although there may be a capital-G God in a world where beings like Trigon and Etrigan run amok, this particular creature is by far not Him) and it promised him the right hand at the throne, and all he had to do was kill every last sinner to ever walk the earth. He recruited over one hundred thousand followers, recieved a sum of gold and money equating to over one billion dollars, soldiers to fight by his side, and technicians who would make the Weapons of God. He learned ancient and deadly arts of magic, thinking them to be the teachings of God. It was his influence that turned Michael O'Cule into The Visionary, giving him some "Weapons of God" (various types of what are known ad the Sin Seekers and The All-Seeing Armor) in exchange for money and the destruction of all sin in the most sinful place on Earth- Gotham City. But now it failed, and here he is.

Other: He, like O'Cule, has powers pertaining to vision. However, The Bishop's magic is all in illusion and light manipulation. He can leave after images, make people see things, appear translucent or almost invisible, and can weave a number of light-based spells, including a ball of light that cleanses (I.e. kills) anybody it hits. He doesn't use the Weapons of God often, except for a gauntlet called the God Hand, which amplifies his light power.

The Visionary did not see them go, but he heard a quadruple pair of squeaky-wheeled robots and a motorcycle drive away. He heard the crashing of doors, a bunch of thugs yelling.

"Ey, the hell'd they go!?"
"Who the f**k's this guy?!"

He heard the clatter of feet. They were turning to face him. This was the end. "I am death incarnate." And, to make one solemn last farewell to Teo, he used a variation of the kid's catch-phrase in his final moments.

"Hasta f**kin' la vista, assclowns."

He heard and saw nothing after that.

The explosion ripped through the building, incinerating all of Carmine's remaining goons. The Visionary himself was obliterated instantly, reduced to something less than ash. A shockwave ripped through the building, shattering windows to both the high-rise and adjacent buildings. And then, like a house of cards, the building collapsed downwards, collapsing into a pile of rubble and debris. Though the ash kept everyone in the adjacent buildings trapped inside for a while, first responders later noted the dead- all were Carmine's thugs and The Visionary's psychopathic Watchkeepers, as well as the badly mangled and charred corpses of Mask and Carmine- identified by dental records and some sinew that somehow survived the burning and collapse. But The Visionary was not mentioned. Only those who escaped- Dust, Teo, Bullet, Soufflé, knew he was ever there- only the craters in the streets were evidence of his activity there, and those were soon mended. However, across the world, thousands of miles away from Gotham, a message was sent. "O'Cule Dead. Initiate Alternative Strategy."

I made a mass murder-y psychopath redeemable in the span of ten posts. Woot! But, ah, if I'm able to make a new character, it'll be Bishop.

Adrian couldn't help but see himself in this man, couldn't help but feel like what he did consumed him and brought him down a path of pain and a constant hunger for vengeance "Yeah everyone in this building is a hired thug." He said picking up his pistol and pulling out the clip he set it down "There's one in the chamber when your energy runs out make it count." He said.

"Thank you. Now get out. I'll take care of the rest. ...one- one more thing. I was always twisted, even when I was a cop. I deserved that bombing, even if my family didn't. I had a partner- Officer Dest. His daughter- I didn't see it until now but his daughter's a vigilante, a bit like you, but not really. I- I sold him out. I regret it, I regretted it since day one, even before today, even before the bombing that killed my family. If you ever meet her, his daughter... I'm sorry." A press of a button on his chest. "Take your gun and go. This is a two-minute countdown. Carmine's thugs will die here. And when I meet him in Hell, Carmine- I'm gonna kick his ass." The countdown begins. "And Teo-" a small smile, "Thank you for freeing me."

Adrian sighed at the interruption by Teo and looked back at Louis "I'm gonna stay here I'm not scared of any thugs he said." Gesturing to the corpses strewn across the ground bullet holes in every single one of em. Then he turned his attention back to The Visionary. "What do you have to warn me about?" He asked pulling out his pistol he had all intents of giving The Visionary his wish and killing him but after he answered his question.

Flicker. He saw Adrian holding the gun and preparing to kill him. "I couldn't have done all of this by myself, of course. The numbers. The money. I had to work with the very same thugs I wanted to kill to get some of the money, but most of it I got from a man who goes by The Bishop. He's what I was not even five minutes ago, but to the twentieth power. A so-called Messiah. My computer systems are programmed to relay a message to him in the event of my death. He may have the numbers, and the gadgets, and maybe some mystic hoodoo to back it up, and when I die he's going to come straight to the city to take up the same, foolish fight. And he's going to be more ruthless than me. But let me just ask one more thing. In this building, besides you and him, of course, are everyone in the building Carmine's thugs?"

As Teo knocked the gun out of Adrian's hand, The Visionary yelled, "Teo. That's enough. I am crazy. I am an awful, twisted, broken little shell of a man, and that's never going to change. Just let me die in peace, and let me take some of Carmine's cronies with me. One- one good thing to my ten thousand bad things."

The Visionary looked over. All static now, but occasionally he saw flickers. "They're all Carmine's guns? All of them? Is there anyone else besides us and those thugs in the building?"

"I killed every thug in this building from floor 20, Falcone was not my target The Mask was." He said taking a puff at his cigarette "Me and you aren't so different from what i hear, although i wish after what happened to me someone had the decency to take out my eyes."

"I suppose people react in different ways to the same thing- I just want to make sure it never happens again. To anyone. Ever. I suppose that's a reason why. But, the more I think about it, with all my hypocrisy, all my bullshit about taking out criminals and the people whose actions make them escalate what they do- and here I am, blowing up city blocks and wearing this ridiculous piece of armor. What I'm doing isn't right, and what I'm doing isn't a road I should follow, but I dug my hole too deep, and losing my eyes didn't make me un-see the death, un-hear the screams from my wife and kids, the flash. In fact, it just made that last thing I saw the only thing I saw. I ingrained it onto everything I saw. And I still am. And I won't ever be able to stop it. And the kid down there, still pushing and going forward like some invincible force- Hell, if the heroes are more like you and him, and if the idea of justice itself is just as unstoppable, then my idiot campaign for 'peace' just caused nothing more than a whole lot of death." The Visionary, with his gauntleted hand, took off his helmet. Both eyes were crackling, malfunctioning. Everything was becoming static. "You've killed two monsters today already. Go ahead and kill a third who's too far gone to turn back- probably some of those people in Falcone's house were just workers or blood relatives with no criminal intent. But I was too cocky and too arrogant to think about that. So please, if you want to put another piece of shit in the ground, go ahead. But I might want to warn you first before you do it- warn you 'bout something else."

When Teo flew up and yelled, The Visionary continued, "Give it a rest, kid. You won. I may have beaten you in the brawl, but you won, you unstoppable S-O-B. And that defeat might sober you up enough to watch out for your own skin as well as the skin of others." The crunching of an Eye-Bot caught his attention as well, down below. "That your friend? Let him crunch 'em. I'm not going to need 'em where I'm going."

((Basically Teo's mighty hammer might not've knocked him out, but it knocked some sense into him... if not for the assisted suicide, this would be a Care Bear villain ending.))

"Yes, I am." The Visionary, looking behind him, notices the gauntlet flying at him. The kid's still at it, after the beating he's gotten. That cinched it. It was like the Visionary was in a trance, and that glove snapped him out of it. Counting down from five seconds. Enough time. He catches it with his non-burnt hand and tosses it out back into the street. Boom goes the glove as it is hurled up towards the top of a far away building, obliterating part of the top of it. Looking back from it, he says, "So you killed Mask and Falcone. Congrats. You've saved me the trouble, but you've taken away the satisfaction of me doing it. So, how will this go? I'd rather we talk, and both explain outselves before doing you attempt your... specialty." With that, The Visionary sits down. "Feel free to ask me questions. I take it you and the other man have already dealt with my Watchkeepers?"

((Had to do that, you would've killed Bullet in the process with that as well, man. But it was good, if someone else wasn't there he would've exploded then and there. Also, small Spanish note- it's "Hasta la vista," "la vista" being "the view", two words, not one. So it would be "Hasta la frickin' vista," with or without the optional "baby" at the end. Technically. *shrug*))
