Name: Luciana Mendez

Alias/Nickname: Luci

Age: 24

Appearance: Luciana has a surprisingly curvy frame thanks to her Hispanic lineage and has dark brown hair nearing to black. Her eyes resemble a reddish brown shade of Mahogany and compliment her lightly tanned skin. She is seen normally wearing loose clothing that hang from her 5'5" frame and do nothing to show off her feminine figure and everything to emphasize the muscles she has trained for years to maintain.

Personality: Luciana suffers from Dissociative Identity Disorder (DID) and mild Schizophrenia. She has two distinct personalities; one being very kind, timid and preferring defensive combat that responds to 'Luciana' whereas 'Luci', the other personality, while charismatic - is deadly by nature and is more closely described as a Lioness hunting her prey. 'Luciana' prefers not to use her abilities and will favor unaugmented physical combat if possible. She will use her power as a last resort and even then, only defensively if at all possibly. Using her abilities causes her to slip into 'Luci' and become more violent. 'Luciana' does not have as much control over her abilities as 'Luci' does being that she does not embrace them as her counterpart has. This means that 'Luci' is not only the more violent half but also the more skilled of the two.

Biography: Luciana randomly decided to turn herself in one day on the street, drenched in another persons blood and tears streaming down her face. So far, she has been linked to 17 murders, 9 cases are still being considered. All victims were suspected of having super powers. No court has been able to truly pin her with the murders for...lack of evidence.

Life in prison has been a blur, as the MSP has kept her severely sedated by providing her medicinal doses throughout the course of the day. The medication keeps her in a state of grogginess and within her 'Luciana' mindset. As the doses wear off though, a more charismatic and erratic version of herself becomes present.

Skills: Luciana studied gymnastics and Muay Thai growing up and has nearly perfected the both of them. This has made her an excellent combatant and can move fluidly when focused. Her actions, however, become more violent if her "less sane" counterpart is present.

Powers: Gravity Manipulation

Gravity Field: The ability to increase the gravity around a person and make them feel as if they were a mime truly stuck in an invisible box. This can also render them immobile, depending on the the force Luci exerts onto them.

Immobility: Luci can also render herself immobile as if adhering herself to her position or figuratively nailing herself into the ground.

Simulated Speed/Strength: While not all of her speed and strength needs to be simulated, Luci can reduce the amount of gravity around her body to make her movements faster and make objects lighter for her to lift. Adversely, she can also concentrate the gravity around her, allowing her to walk on walls with ease.

Levitation: Training her ability to reduce gravity, Luci has learned that she can levitate herself as well as others, though others requires more concentration. She has not mastered this skill but believes she will be able to simulate flight. Her levitations have only lasted upwards of 20 minutes at any given time.

Black Hole Manipulation: This is an advanced level of the gravity field ability and requires an immense level of concentration and force, pinpointing a single target and increasing its gravity infinitely at such a quick pace that a black hole is created. 'Luciana' is unaware of this ability and 'Luci' has only been able to do it once. She passed out afterwards and woke up in prison.

Other: 'Luciana' has very little control of her powers outside of herself, being that she cannot use her power to manipulate others or even inanimate objects. And, while 'Luci' is more comfortable with her power, 'Luciana' is constantly within her, battling her mentally and can cause great distraction to 'Luci' during pivotal moments of battle.
I've just posted and I'm pretty satisfied with it. I'm just excited now.

Luciana lay on her stomach, the thin roughness of her cot a dull pain in the background as her fingers idly toyed with the corner of the page she was currently reading. The silver of her bracelets caught the glow of the fluorescent light above distracting her momentarily, disrupting her minds journey through H.G.Wells War of the Worlds. Methodically, she began the paragraph she was reading from the beginning once more. As she neared the middle of the passage, the hard clack of boots on concrete interrupted her concentration once again. She looked up over her shoulder towards the door of her cell, the dull gray of the walls providing little variation to the eye.

From outside the door, she could hear two guards conversing in hushed whispers. One of the two voices she could make out belonged to Danny, the guard the MSP had permanently stationed outside her cell. The one she wouldn't fight for her medication. The other harsh tone made her grimace, as she recognized him as Jared, a guard with a seemingly unnecessary hostility to her. Though she couldn't see them talking just out of sight, she knew both of their faces and could imagine them conversing as she quietly tucked her book away, moving to the door to eavesdrop. At first, she had to strain to hear their voices but, their conversation quickly increased in decibel.

"Jared. Look, stop being a young know-it-all asshole and do your damn job." Danny said, the hint of a Spanish accent on his words.

"Why the hell does this nutcase get to go to the SCR? Doesn't this new Warden know she's fucking Coo-coo?" Jared retorted, to the man who had come down the hall.

Luciana could see the outline of his shadow on the ground, noting he was shaking his fist at Danny, a twinge of anger coursing through her, causing her to clench her fists.

"It's not in your job description to think, Jared. And I think it'd be in your best interest if you don't call her crazy again. She's misunderstood." Danny defended, bringing a soft smile to Luciana's face, before Jared's harsh tone broke the brief silence.

"She's a God-damned killer Danny! You must be getting slow in your old age."

Luciana could hear a shuffle of feet, no doubt Danny was squaring up to his younger companion.

"Get the fucking keys and let her out. Once she is safely at the community room, I'm back on duty with her in time for her next dose and you," Danny paused, emphasizing his words. " go back on your rounds and away from her."

Luciana silently scattered back onto her cot, pulling her knees into her chest to try to seem as natural as possible. The jingle of keys grew nearer and as she turned to look at the guard carrying them, she was instantly regretful that she had. The rough stubbled jawline of Jared's face greeted her gaze, his thin lips curling at the corner in a nauseating variation of a smirk. The bridge of his nose was adorned with a massive twist of cartilage, the evidence of his nose having been broken previously and haplessly healed over. "Prisoner X-52. Move." he instructed her, motioning sharply with his hand but keeping his distance, his free hand resting closely on his pistol.

"She has a fucking name..." Luciana heard Danny hiss through his clenched teeth as she entered the hallway where he stood waiting. The grimace on his face melted away as he saw her, his lips curving into a natural grin. The light in his smile reached his eyes, giving them a soft fatherly glow to them. His dark brown hair had started to grey and was mostly evident in his trimmed beard. As Jared clacked his boots behind her, evidently ready to escort her, Luciana watched Danny's face turn rigid once more. With a silent nod, Danny turned on his heel and headed down the hall, Luciana behind him with Jared tight on her heels.
The room was cavernous, the largest single room she'd seen since her year here at the prison. There were various other prisoners scattered around the room, some in a group while others preferred to be curled up with a book or plucking the strings of a guitar. Luciana noted that all of the prisoners were male as she made her way to a separated table, seating herself with her back against the wall. 'Lovely.' she thought to herself, her eyes assessing each and every one of them. Surely one of them would approach her before communal time was over. After all, men would always be men, with or without powers.
@Soul: I removed the dosing necklace, just to make it easier to explain and to possibly make her story more interesting. Am I free to post?
Big Sister AM said
You're very welcome, Zordon ^_^ Details are my best friend and I use too much time surfing around on Wikipedia (and I have a very dear friend who suffers from schizophrenia (which is spelled differently in danish, might I add, and in a pain to spell in english for me))But please, don't call me Big. Makes me feel fat :p Call me Big Sister AM, Big Sister, Sister, Sis or AM ... preferably AM, as that was part of my old username, too, which I changed because people kept misspelling it..:EDIT:.Also, I won't be posting today as planned. I finished helping my uncle with his chimney, so now it's time to get some work in on the green house out in the back yard and get the lst few glasses in. After that, dinner with my grandparents... so... yeah...

Understandable AM. Didn't mean to make you feel fat. D;

I probably won't post for another few hours but, I'll definitely post today. May just elaborate on my character until then.
I'm sorry for the delay in posting. Hopefully, I'll be able to pick things up.

Boom. She now suffers from DID and Mild Schizophrenia, to give me that "voices in the head" aspect I wanted while more clearly explaining the personalities.

Thank you Big.
While her personalities are distinct and separate, I was still planning on incorporating the aspect of voices. I suppose I'll do more research of what exactly I'd like to portray and what it would most accurately be described as.
