This doesn't really effect my idea at all, I had in my mind that the people I would create would serve the god most likely to have something against dragons and each one slain would somehow help the town, either by a magical gift or just the riches or both.
Maybe the dragons' magical power, or a portion of it is given to the slayer?
Now that I've written it out sounds a bit too Skyrim. Of course it wouldn't be as common as dragon killing in that but if someone managed it they could possibly be the most powerful of the age.

Forgive me for seeming so ignorant but what type of characters are we going to play exactly? how do the gods effect the characters other than Dúv obviously breaking free?

This sounds like just the thing to jump back into RPing with if you don't mind me being a bit rusty. I'm thinking of a weapons engineer type character, We can hash out the available weaponry as we go I'm thinking not really too much more than today, but that's up to you. You wouldn't send a mission to colonize a planet with out sufficient armory to back it up. who knows what is on Gilese. even if there is nothing It would be interesting to explore a way to make the character useful in some other manner on a new planet.
