Anywhere is fine with me. I'm from Canada so my geography of the USA isn't amazing but I should do alright with anything and just look up things I don't really know. So if at any point I'm off at anything just let me know and I'll go back and fix it up.

Well I love New Orleans and while they would be on the confederate side of the war, I love the legends and lore, let alone the history. Not to worry though, I will point any big issues, but I don't see them coming up. I am not 100% sure, but isnt there french culture in Canada? If so, there is a lot of Cajun/French there as well.
As for Paul Walker, his passing is a true shame. He was a very charitable soul, and an amazing actor.

Well I have some idea about New Orleans. I'm also pretty on key with the French culture here since my boyfriend is French Canadian. So we can have the story take place there. I have a feeling that during Kaden's time away from the family he moved a lot from place to place if that's okay with you? Also I was wondering if you're cool with him getting mix up with a little criminal activity after the cruse kicked in.

Yeah criminal history and traveling around is totally fine, I may have ideas about the male, but I want you to be able to make him your own.
And yes, that makes total sense to me, I feel sad when a video game character I love dies, let alone a character I've been playing for that long.

Mhmm I just want to make sure that I don't totally destroy the image you have since I know how unsure you are about trying this plot. Kaden is lovable though so I'm hoping you'll come to love him even if he'll be a bit of an ass with the whole anger and hate things going on.

Yeah I think that would work well. I am fine with minor modding, such as them appearing in a location, to move the story along if need be in any future post as well.
