Stayed up for 24 hour+ during basic training, that combined with a whole day of physical exercises was the closest thing to hell I've been to.

Probably three days. You start getting loopy and seeing shit when the third day hits you.

9 days... I was really worried during the time and seeing shit kept me up even more. In the end though, my father had enoguh of my shit and made me a drink of coffie that was tapped with alcohol and crushed sleeping medication and thus, while playing a video-game to help ease my terrified mind from the shadow people that were going to get me, I passed out, hit the floor and was out for the next 2 days before I woke up in my bed.

Heh, I'm not that impressive like most people, I never really been in many scenarios where I force myself to stay up. Even gaming, for me, I have to take a break from it otherwise I know I'll *kill* the game for me (there are some exceptions to that though, the most notable I can think of being Fallout)

34 hours, on one faithful night where my dad had a piece of steak lodged in his throat (it didn't choke him, but caused discomfort and he couldn't swallow anything.). For whatever is beyond me, arriving at our local hospital revealed that they had no specialists that could perform a throat surgery/stretching of that nature properly because they were on vacation or some piss poor excuse along that. After reasoning in my head that if you were to choke up on something in my small little town you were essential good as dead apparently, we stayed in my local hospital for what seemed like bloody ages before we was released and began to make our long five-hour trek to the closest town that had a specialist readily available (we choose not to take an ambulance due to the absurd cost of the fee and the lack of severity of my father's predicament). After all the processing, surgery, and the five-hour trip back home, I came to one conclusion at the end of it all.

My hospital sucks.
