As the large vehicle came to a stop, Carter grabbed his suitcase and backpack and stood up. He was pretty sure that she was in a bus, as he could feel the worn and cheap leather of the seats, as well as the multiple rows of them that the vehicle had. There were several others on the vehicle along with him, and he decided to move into the isle as soon as the sound of people died out. He didn't want to walk into anyone, and he didn't want to hit anyone with his cane. Even with his clairvoyant abilities, he still needed a cane to feel things out. If he used his birth ability too much, it would give him severe headaches, and he didn't want to go through that on the first day on being at the Redthorn academy.

With his backpack on his back and his suitcase in one hand, Carter picked up his white cane and began to move forward, tapping the ground beneath him to find the steps that led off of the vehicle he assumed to be a bus. He was a little embarrassed that he had to have the driver of the vehicle help him down, but he wasn't too worried, as he couldn't see the faces of the people that may or may not be looking at him right now. Finally getting to the ground, the young man inhaled the fresh sent of the forest and smiled as he exhaled. He was glad that he was able to be there, and maybe he could actually find some friend here while at the academy. He hoped for the best, and put his cane forward, making sure that there wasn't anyone near him to that he wouldn't run into them or poke them. Unfortunately, he did manage to poke someone while he moved forward. and apologized to them as soon as it happened. From what he heard, the people around him were also pretty excited and glad to be there, as they talked among themselves and a few of them even demonstrated their abilities. As much as he wanted to do that himself, he couldn't and simply walked along the cement path to the grand academy.

Lily sat on the bus, looking out the window. She didn't know what to do, or how to act. There were so many different scents here, and she was still learning them all. She preferred being outside and was relieved when the bus stopped, and grabbed her backpack. She had always traveled light and she found herself behind someone who appeared to be blind. She calmly waited and didn't try to hurry him, she gave the driver a smiled and thanked him for the ride, climbing down the stairs.

She looked about, taking in the smells. She dodged the blind man with his cane, and chuckled when he did poke someone. She looked about, hesitating, unsure if she should go up to anyone or not. She was bare foot like she liked best, but she did have shoes. Some people found it weird she never wore them, and she didn't want to be judged or anything.

So, hesitating, she chased after the blind man, giving a quick, "Hi" As she matched her pace to his. She could hear the nervousness in her voice, "You seem to be the only one not...showing off? your abilities. I like that" She sometimes had trouble with some phrases and when to use them. "I'm Lily"

She didn't know if that was her real name, but her she-wolf mother had called her that. Lily, because that was the name of the flower she had found Lily with. The human name, but it worked well enough for Lily.

Katerina Petrova, recently known as Katherine Pierce, stepped out of the car. She took off her designer sunglasses before staring up at the building with an slightly interested gaze. Her head tilted slightly to the side as she took in the students around her. She smirked. So much blood to choose from. Where's a girl to start?

She was then interrupted. "Miss, your bags?" She heard a male voice say with nervousness clearly there. Katherine swirled around to see her escort there with her bags. Clearly struggling. She gave him a fake dazzling smile momentarily dazzling him.

"Thank you!"

Before taking her bags from him with unnatural ease as if they weighed nothing. She then promptly ignored him turning back to face the school. She then walked towards it with confidence leaving the poor guy to stutter away his goodbyes.

As she was walking to the school she couldn't help but think. Damn it! I should've compelled him. He could've been a snack. Then again, she wouldn't have been able to kill him anyway. When she was invited here she had special instructions not to kill anyone.

Katherine sighed in annoyance. That was a shame.

It wasn't long until a large shadow covered the ground, moving rapidly to a empty space. The shadow rapidly grew smaller, until his feet impacted the ground with a solid, loud thud. His legs automatically bent as he landed, having slowed down his decent enough that he didn't break his legs. His large wings folded in, his tail flicking behind him as he gazed at the people in front of him, traveling about. He began walking forward, towards the group. The herd of people separated to make room for the large creature, wary glances thrown at him. He was rather intimidating. His eyes traveled around, easily scanning the crowd. Rarely did he ever have the difficulty of seeing above things.

He continued to walk, folding powerful arms across his chest, the scales clacking together, a common sound to him. Making it to the front of the people, he looked at the Acadamy, a small frown forming on his face. One thought entered his head, which might seem irrational to some people. Hopefully the bed will fit me. he looked around the area, wondering if they could enter the building or not.

Elisabetta Ahlstrom took a bit of the chocolate cake, the baked goods going smoothly down her throat. The Huldra had decided to walk to the academy with nothing but a backpack which was stock full of cake batter for the road. Her tail was getting agitated and tried to move where it was bunched in her jeans; multiple times Etta had to shift when nobody was looking. Useless humans bumped into her multiple times and on more than one occasion, Etta felt like strangling them - luckily she was able to resist.

It was a three hour walk, and she finished half of her chocolate cake, when she arrived to the Academy. Her legs ached and her hollow back itched; her tail was sweating - how that was possible, she didn't know - and she just wanted to let it breath. Redthorn Academy was a-bustling with creatures and when nobody was looking, she released the tail from the itching confines. She hoped no one would comment on her tail.

Raphael waited in the shadows, watching the new students arrive from the treeline across the field. He had decided to simply travel to this school on foot, or rather, on foot and displacing. It was not quite as fast a car, but outpaced the bulky bus quite handily. Anyone looking in his direction would see nothing, except perhaps a flicker of green light. If they ventured closer and peered at him, they would see a strange dark outline and two glowing orbs like those of a cat. He watched the others make their way off of the bus, his mind sorting through them at lightning speed, sorting them into those who he found interesting and those who he did not. Of course, he knew that there was more to a person than their appearance, but sometimes appearance was enough to draw his interest. For example, that large scaled and winged man was already piquing his interest, as was the woman who sported a tail and whose back was as hollow as an egg shell. He had immediately known the nature of the vampire girl, it was far too obvious. Her demeanor alone was enough to give her away, despite her obvious beauty and fashion flair. His lip curled in distaste as he watched her flounce across the grounds. He'd known a few vampires in his time and he held no love for them. In his experience they were soulless and cruel, as well as powerful and arrogant beyond measure. He would steer clear of that one, to avoid any temptation on his part that might lead to an altercation.

She could have sifted – it would have been easy. Plucking the strands of reality aside and stepping through to the desired place at the perfect time... but Killian enjoyed the run. A glamour lay upon her form, leaving her invisible and intangible to most eyes, though she could only affect the perception of other fey if she turned up the glamour tenfold. In her hellhound form every leap was a dozen or more yards, long legs stretching, claws tearing into the earth as she thrust forward. She kept to more abandoned roads or didn't bother with roads at all, crossing the country at a fairly leisurely pace and taking the time to relax in upscale hotels when she found them. Night was best for travel in such a form, as her sight and hearing were simply too keen to abide cities and midday with any pleasure. As she reached a forest, Killian sprang past its borders and quickly became a part of the dark, tangled depths. Animals that couldn't quite see her but were more immune to her spell knew enough to flee, silence and fear remaining in her wake.

The thrill of the run sent her blood rushing, head raised to catch the myriad of forest smells and the movement of creatures as they quickly sought safety. She'd been travelling now for a couple weeks, having taken the time to poke around and do some sight-seeing off the clearly designated tourist trails. Killian didn't do well with people, so classic tourism was out of the question. It had also become clear that the true attractions couldn't be seen fully or thorough appreciated from such limited points. She was of a race that had once compelled the seasons to change by their very moods – who were these silly mortals to tell her where she could or couldn't go? A snort of derision erupted from the hellhound as she began to slow her pace. Nose questioning the fresh breeze filtering through the thinning forest, she caught the varied scents of many people gathered nearby and unmistakable odor of civilization. A thin whine erupted from Killian's throat as the iron that permeated the air burned through her, coating her tongue and throat with a flavor that compelled her to shudder and retch.

Shadows gathered thicker around the hellhound as strange noises and alien movements began to take place, thrusting her form into foaming madness as she shifted into her Sidhe form – her human looking form. Lean and tall for a woman, Killian was dark of hair and eyes with skin a rich and dusky hue that hinted at darkening rapidly if touched by the sun. Long, thin hands lifted and made plucking motions, drawing from the air – and her demesne far off – clothing. It was rare for fey folk to truly create unless under heavy demand, thus the origins of their instantly appearing items were rather being taken from somewhere and somewhen. Rapidly dressing, Killian donned jeans, a turquoise t-shirt, and brown leather hiking boots. Leaning forward to thrust a an old and richly detailed sgian dubh into her boot , the woman's face was momentarily hidden by the thick downpour of black hair that, when straight rather than it's normal tousled, nearly touched her waist.

Feeling slightly prepared, Killian used a long-legged stride to devour the distance between the forest's edge and the group of milling people. Killian's face was devoid of expression, though her dark eyes moved restlessly as she surveyed those closest. Some stood out physically, while others were demonstrating gifts that drew her attention and perhaps touched upon hackles that were no longer visible. Though her senses were less keen now, Killian was still drawn to another vague figure she left behind in the forest. Her eyes narrowed briefly, trying to discern an outline, but too many other distractions quickly drew her attention.

Arthur stood still on the path that would lead him towards the Academy, green eyes wide as he took in the building's imposing structure. How one was able to keep such a place hidden in the forest, not even he could guess.

After momentarily taking in the scenery, Arthur’s attention returned to the letter in his palm, eyes skimming over its words once more.

The young Phoenix had been sent the invitation to attend Redthorn Academy many years ago, though he never felt compelled to accept at the time. He was a solitary creature, managing to fend for himself for almost a century now. Arthur had been certain that he wouldn’t need the Academy’s promise of safety or teachings- well, until now it seemed.

He had felt it only recently, a shift in the air. What exactly said shift was Arthur had yet to figure out; however, it was enough for him to finally enroll at Redthorn Academy.

And it was obvious he wasn’t the only one. Mythics from all around the world were milling about on the school’s grounds- more than he had ever seen in his lifetime. Vampires, Fae, Shapeshifters- it was certainly an intimidating sight, but a surprisingly welcome one nonetheless.

Lips curling into a smile, Arthur adjusted his messenger bag and continued on his walk.

Hearing the voice of another person, Carter's head snapped over to whoever seemed to be talking to him and noticed that there was another set of footsteps that were close to his own, but not exact. Even if he was able to show off his birth-given abilities, he wouldn't have used them. Although he was known as a Clairvoyant, many people that also shared his race were called Oracles. It was true that he could see the paths of others, as well as the world around him, but it required so much brain power and it often hurt his head if he used it for more than a few minutes constantly.

Once the woman now named Lily finished speaking, Carter nodded his head and looked forward once more, still occasionally tapping his cane. "My name is Carter. I can only assume that you aren't using your abilities at the moment either, am I right?" He asked her, actually being curious and not just saying that for any other reason. He wasn't even sure what other things you could mean by saying that, but he knew that it was completely possible.

Lily had already figured out that the guy couldn't see. So then, what would be a blind persons ability? She thought on that for a few moments. Nothing that would be fighting. Maybe something with hearing? No..."You're a sight seer, aren't you? Wolves believe in future sight. Only, they do so by the stars and the land" She said, forgetting herself for a moment or two. She blushed, embarrassed that she had drifted off.

"I wouldn't be talking to you if I was" She said with amusement, "I'm a wolf shapeshifter" She said, "Not anything terribly exciting, but if i wasn't, i wouldn't be alive, considering I was raised by wolves. Do you know, it took me two weeks to learn to walk without falling over, on two feet?" She chucked t herself, then realised she was going on another tangent. "Sorry, sometimes i get carried away talking"

Raphael continued to watch the gathering group, but his attention shifted when he felt another presence in the forest. At first he could sense a beast, large and powerful, but then it paused and the sounds of heavy breathing and footfalls became light and more human like. His eyes shot towards the place where he could feel the presence, focused on the treeline a couple hundred yards away from him. What emerged was not at all what he'd expected. She appeared to be a normal woman, tall and dark haired with a rather athletic form and an exotic appearance. He could not place her kind, as he was unfamiliar with the scent, but it was some form of canine, of that he was sure. Normally, his kind distrusted and disliked beings with a canine nature, but Raphael had not been raised normally, and so had grown to think of canines as his brethren, along with all other predatory beasts. This woman had obviously mastered the transformation that eluded him, and that knowledge caused a war of emotions within him. On the one hand, he felt bitterly jealous and was inclined to dislike her, but his more rational mind told him that there was no fault to be assigned to her for being able to do what he had failed in himself. Besides, he also felt a certain admiration to her. She was what he aspired to be, a true hunter in the guise of mortals. The others could wait. For now, he felt he must focus his attention on that girl. She was the only one with whom he felt any real kinship, and he felt a strong desire to find out what sort of person she was. For now, his eyes followed her keenly, missing nothing, though he dared not venture forth from the camouflage of the forest quite yet.

Abe awoke with a start in the bus, he had slept most of the way to the academy and no one had bothered to wake him. Except the the bus driver. "I gotta leave kid, you getting off the bus or not?" Abe was beyond embarrassed. He stood up, his large frame towering above the bus driver. The bandages that concealed his robotic hands had come slightly loose, so he quickly tightened. Abe opened the luggage rack above his seat, his large hat and dufflebag. Abe smiled to himself, while he was here he wouldn't need the hat, he could finally be accepted. He quickly stuffed the hat into his bag, thanked the bus driver, and hopped off the bus. Outside was bustling with all manners of creatures, all going about their business. This is gonna be fun Abe thought to himself before heading into the crowd.

Carter had never heard the term of 'sight seer' before, and it was a nice change. He had always been called a 'clairvoyant' or an 'oracle' but never a sigh seer. He actually liked being called something different for a change, and assumed that he could only be that because of his blindness. Any other race would require their eyesight, but since a clairvoyant relies on ethereal sight, not having any eyesight isn't a problem.

It seemed that the girl next to him was a shapeshifter, but only to a wolf. He was curious as to if her senses would be enhanced while as a wolf, or if she has amazing senses no matter what form she is in. He didn't mind her getting carried away while talking, and shook his head softly. "That's perfectly find. I'm sure that being raised by wolves was a unique experience. Were you the only one to take a human form?"

An immortal was always the last one to arrive. It was simply how it had always been done. It was the subtlest way to tell everyone around you that time was, for an eternity, on your side. A toothpick dangled from between Jesse's lips as he took his first step onto the campus, moving past the bus that a gargantuan student who smelled faintly of death stepped out of. Until recently, a cigarette would have been hanging from his lips, though he had finally kicked the habit, not that there was one a particular physical dependency. It was purely mental, his newest persona coming with the bizarre development of an oral fixation. He had to have something in his mouth which had been a hit back in New York in the club scene, though this wasn't New York and these people weren't trashy fucks who would get all giddy if you could tie a knot with a cherry stem. Jesse rolled his eyes at himself and his train of though, shifting the weight of his rucksack that hung over his shoulder.

The blonde haired 'boy' had everything he needed with him really. A few changes of clothing, his current I.D., a fistful of cash he shoved into a sock, and his debit card. Cash was never a problem though and probably wouldn't be in his soon to be home for the time being. Already though, Jesse began to form the idea idea that he wasn't necessarily a mythic like the others here. There were plenty of people who were clearly born into their races and here he was, having become a 'mythic' through killing and drinking the blood of another. Jesse kept his thoughts to himself, giving a slow look around at the crowd. He needed to talk with someone now, otherwise it'd be a bitch making friends later on. He decided to take the most passive route, deciding he'd talk to whoever he encountered first, finding himself upon the monstrosity from earlier moments later. Some greater power was having a laugh at Jesse's expense right now and he fucking knew it.

"Hey Frank," the immortal said, slapping the gargantuan who carried the faint scent of death with him like a herald on the back, "Name's Jesse," he offered a hand to the behemoth of a.... 'man', not all that worried about having his hand crushed by the giant's grip, "I'm guessin' you were put back together after somethin' particularly nasty happened, eh?" Jesse wanted to ask what it was like to leave his body, even if only for a second. He longed to demand an explanation from the remake of Frankenstein's monster of what it was like to leave the shackles of the human body and be free to enter the void of nothingness that is the death of one's mind, but Jesse always reminded himself to be calm. If he and Frankenstein's monster hit it off well enough, perhaps one day he could probe his mind. If it was just [hi]his[/i] mind. Jesse was nearing his second millennium of life and, in truth, the idea of death was sickeningly appealing to him from time to time. And of course now stood before him the very testament to death itself.

Lily watched Carter. You could learn a lot about people from their body langauge, she had found. He seemed happy at the term she had used for him. And he didn't deny it, so she assumed she was right. That was a good start, at least. She was feeling good, right up until he asked if she was the only one who could shape shift.

She hesitated, and debated about what to say. She eventually sighed, and said, "No one in my pack could shape shift. I...I...My wolf mother told me that she found me, and that was it" She said softly, "At least, that's how I can translate it. Wolves tend to talk in sounds, smells, scents...its difficult to describe" She shrugged even though he couldn't see it.

Petar just sat in the cab, holding his backpack on his lap while watching the landscape wish by him like sand in a timer. He couldn’t believe that only a few years ago he was just some lonely and nerdy kid that would rather spend time on his computer than go outside play whatever sport the jocks were playing. All his life, he knew he was different but he never would have thought that he was part of an entirely different species altogether. He’s had a couple of years to deal with this but even after a long paradigm like that; it’s still hard to take in.

His skin is not even real, it’s just a disguise. His whole entire being is a disguise and he still can’t come to terms with it. He’ll admit, being able to control the weather is quite cool but it does have drawbacks. Petar hates being the centre of attention and to control weather on a larger scale, he would need to do just that. He’s just thankful that there’s a place that could accept him. He wouldn’t know how to explain to a human at a normal academy that he can possibly create a hurricane if he changes his skin, grow dragon wings, a serpent and some horns. They’d either piss themselves laughing or piss themselves scared.

He realises that he seems to be getting close to the school. He didn’t know if the driver was a mythic himself or even aware of them. To avoid some sort of confrontation, he asks the driver to pull up about half a mile from the destination and he’ll just walk the rest of the way. His carrier bag in the boot of the car has wheels, so he can just drag it the school.
”Hey, excuse me, could you just park here? I can easily walk the rest of the way.” The driver gives a listless shrug and starts pulling to the side of the road.
“Whatever, it’s your choice.” Petar proceeded to take his baggage out of the vehicle and pay the man, who insisted he pay for the full journey. As the cab drove away, he continued walking by the side of the road towards the building on the horizon. It would not be long before he would be in the presence of people similar to him.

As Petar reaches the school, he sees all kinds of people walking towards it. Many had only subtle differences compared to humans but some seemed ok with showing their true form. He couldn’t believe the place he had arrived too. He may have finally found a place that he could fit into. He continued to walk towards the people, joining the crowd that was hanging excitedly just out side the gate. Petar hopes to have a long and fulfilling time here at Redthorn Academy.

Abe continued towards the school building, looking at the crowd around him. All manners of folk bustled about, he saw more than one animal and assumed they could shift to the form at will. From dragons to fae folk, all manner of mythical creatures happened to be invited to the academy. This made Abe feel slightly uneasy. He wasn't exactly mythical, if anything he was a product of science. Some sort of crazy science, some crazy man trying to play god. Abe sighed to himself. He had been in hiding since the accident, venturing into towns for food.

Marx said "Hey Frank," the immortal said, slapping the gargantuan who carried the faint scent of death with him like a herald on the back, "Name's Jesse," he offered a hand to the behemoth of a.... 'man', not all that worried about having his hand crushed by the giant's grip, "I'm guessin' you were put back together after somethin' particularly nasty happened, eh?"

Suddenly Abe was roused from his daydream and turned around to see where the voice originated. "The name's Abe, but Frank works too." He extended his hand to return the offer of a handshake, his large stature towering over the young man. "I didn't know it was that obivious, but yeah. Turns out semis are built out of a bit tougher stuff than your average human body. Then I woke up and and I was rocking these borrowed parts." Abe looked down at the man. He didn't have any painfully obvious things that made him a mythic, but he had to be here for a reason. "So you have me pegged, but what is up with you? Why are you here?"

"Well," Jesse said, poking Abe's arm, the hairs on his arm raising suddenly, "judgin from the smell and the feel, you're gonna be around an awful long time unless you decompose and aren't put back together. You might as well get used to alternative names now, Frank." Jesse instinctively shoved a hand in his pocket, groping for the box of Malboros that was usually perpetually full, from him never actually smoking the damned things. He groaned slightly, barely resisting the urge to roll his eyes. His getting rid of cigarettes was mostly about the image it conjured. A lot of folks weren't too keen on it, though that didn't make him less needy when it came to his fixation. Thankfully, he grabbed onto the wooden toothpick in his pocket that he stored away after grabbing a sandwich from a diner on the way here, he still had something to chew on. He popped the toothpick between his lips, teeth clenching down on it when Abe's question registered in his mind.

"Cursed with the gift of life, I've always said." Jesse's eyes drifted up the giant's frame, a small smirk forming when he made eye contact with the Promethean. "I'm the last immortal," Jesse lightly laughed, the laugh with a hint of sorrow, "Whatever is thrown at me, I can just shrug off. I've looked like this since the fuckin' Romans and I'll look this way long after we make first contact or are nailed by an asteroid. Though beyond that, I'm just like you. Well, the you that eventually got nailed by a semi." Jesse shrugged, pulling his rucksack a bit tighter over his shoulder, taking a few steps into the crowd, turning to face Abe as he continued, now walking backward slowly. "So what's the deal with the arms?" Jesse glanced behind him, bumping into a young woman, "Sorry love," he said quickly, looking back towards the hulk, "You oughtta be prouder of your appearance now. You're unique. We got plenty of fairy and demon bullshit around here," Jesse gave a wide motion with his hand, swiping a fella with horns across the back of his head. If Jesse noticed, he didn't mention it this time. "Seize the fuckin' day and lose the bandages Frank. They're hiding something and to be honest, you're kinda killing our image." Jesse said, as if they had already teamed up, "We're both one of a kind hombre and now that I think about it, we'd make a pretty solid cop duo. I'd be the good cop who's,,, well, technically alive forever and you'd be my sorta dead sidekick who plays the bad cop and roughs up the perps!"

What is everyone waiting for? she wondered as she came near enough to identify different conversations and hear distinct words, despite the milling mass of creatures. Black eyes sparking with ever moving gold flecks adjusted their angle, carefully kept empty of the wariness that had hidden tension singing through her not-really-there veins. She moved with an otherworldly grace that was only enhanced by the canine form that waited beneath her skin, as if she had more muscles than what should have been granted to such a human form. A rolling, loping stride that resulted in sure-footed steps, light enough to barely bend blades of grass, carried her quickly wherever she sought to go. An edge to her movements was there, suggesting the woman might slide forward into a crouch and begin hunting, granting a palpable air of danger to her aura. An itch between her shoulders warned Killian that someone was watching her, but she couldn't place the individual as someone in the surrounding crowd.

The cool mask and alert eyes only added to her predatory appearance as KIllian wove her way through the scattered students and approached the school, passing under the arched entry onto the castle grounds. Her stride carried her past quite a few more meandering individuals and though she bypassed them quickly, her eyes didn't miss much in the way of details. A fellow with a cane, tails and wings here and there, fangs glinting as some offered grotesque smiles, and others that expressed no particular trait that separated them from the mundane human being. Although she surely looked much the same as them, Killian distrusted those she couldn't readily identify. Nostrils flaring as she picked up different odors that spoke of wolves, reptiles, death, and that sharp tang of magic, Killian moved into the shadows of the academy and glanced up.

The front doors were currently open, moving forms visible within the brightly lit hall. Several had the obvious look of professors, but some carried a more vague air of authority that couldn't quite be placed. Casting a rather imperious glance at the collection of people, Killian loosely crossed her arms and stepped inside, angling away from the entrance and to the side. Although many questions danced around her skull, Killian had but one main concern and she voiced it in a tone as rich as chocolate: "Food?"

"I see." He said softly, making his way under the arch that led to the academy itself. He knew of the arch's presence because it blocked the sun from hitting him, and he lost the warm feeling that he had before because of it. He could assume that translating wolfspeak into a human language would be much harder than simply understanding wolves, and decided not to dwell on it further than needed. He did have a question though, and he was curious as to how she was here. "If you lived with wolves, then how did you get a letter?" He assumed that she had gotten a letter like he did but wasn't sure. at all
