You said that when 2 EDBs clash, they basically transger energy to each other. What if I created a shield that would only draw the energy from the EDB? So the mechs could recharge their batteries and still use the opponent's. Or is it too OP?
Oh and I can create a quick map with the shards and colours. The current one is slightly confusing. It wont be too pretty but understandable

Considering they are essentially lasers, you would have to makea shield that could absorb from them. Might be possible, but could be fine if well validated and controlled.

If you want to try to make a map go for it.

They have flat tops that have normal buildings on top, then 'underground' stuff below, with some jutting out. They are more like floating ice cream cones in a sense.

OK, but I won't l draw a 3d model of it. I'm not that good lol. Just a picture that people can look at and immediately understand instead of trying to figure out from the description. I had problems at least... Just give me a few mins

Lasers are comprised of energy. There would be very few manifestations of energy along the edge of a blade to actually accomplish that outside of a laser.

All EDBs have this feature.

"slash through things at a reduced energy cost." Given your explanation, I propose we let you have this. Your EDB is highly efficient. However, due to the additional complexities, the EDB is slightly less powerful. Something like x.8 cutting strength, x2 efficiency sounds fine to me. It'll still block EDBs fine and cut through most Kensai Models, but it might have trouble penetrating through superheavy armor models like the Jaeger family in a single cut.

I'd say the overclock mode is fine, but with a different source (otherwise it would be a system that would really need to be refitted onto everything because it's that good or given an additional restriction). Arlanians are capable of using the King Hand system, and I notice this mech doesn't have that. Why not have Alain design a system that allows Arlanians to use a similar burst of energy to instead temporarily increase their speed and weapon power for a few seconds? This would explain why it's an Arlanian design without the King Hand, as you wouldn't want to overexert the pilot and burden the mech with two of these systems.

If you prefer to keep it mundane, my added restriction would be it is only usable for short bursts at a time due to overheating problems.

Balance aside, here's my gut feeling. The frame you've come up with.. Doesn't feel like what you've sold it as. The main mission behind your Kensai is that it should be modular, but there isn't anything in that design that seems to emphasize that. It has hands, a retractable EDB, a sniper rifle, and two inbuilt systems. There's nothing about this design that makes it what you set out to achieve. Gut feeling aside, I'm fine with the design. It works. I'm glad to have another design. But, I would suggest taking some time or some advice in order to make it more like your concept of a modular Kensai.

In Summary:
With a few tweaks, I'd accept it. However, I suggest(but it's ok if you decline to) you might want to put a little more work in, as it's acceptable, but I feel you missed your target.

To clear things up:
I thought Arlanian Kensai had the King's Hand by default so I didn't add it, I will soon.

Overclock mode, I imagined it as an over-the-limits mode that the Kensai can enter for super rapid energy consumption that boosts everything energy related. It is unstable and very dangerous, producing lots of heat and stops automatically when the Kensai is on critical energy levels, which is only after seconds the overclock mode is activated. It not advisable to use except in dire circumstances.

My Kensai is modular, I see what I did wrong. The current EDB and Sniper-Rifle are in fact current modules attached. But can easily be switched for something else if I wanted to. So if a new better weapon is developed, I wouldn't have to get a whole new Kensai but only detach and attach the module. The Stomper Feet are Alain's sort of personal attachment which isn't quite a module since the whole foot part and some of the leg part had to be modified from the original MFK. Other MFK don't have it.
Armor is also a sort of module as it can be detached and attached after some work but there aren't that many armor models yet.
My Kensai doesn't use more modules as its still in a kind of testing mode and Alain needs to figure out what is most needed, and how to implement it.

And yes, I knew EDBs could block each other. Its just that holes in the laser might sound like it couldnt function properly.

Does this make it any better? Lol

It's going to start as soon as someone wishes to roleplay. If you wish to start, me or Innue will be right with you. State the kind of experience you want to have, and one of us will be on hand. What kind of character arcs do you want to have, and what cast do you want for your personal story?

This is the case for all Kensai. If a weapon isn't integral to the design, such as rifles and EDBs, you can swap em out. You'll notice that for the base Kensai on the front page, 2 out of 3 describes the varieties of weapons and types usually equipped, rather than a specific loadout. If it's a weapon carried in the hands, its almost as easy to swap for a Kensai as it is for a human. The only exception is when the weapon drains more power than the Kensai is capable of handling, like that energy sniper rifle would be too much for a Shisso to handle.

But fair enough, you're ready to go if you think you are. :)

Damn it... that screws up all my Kensai planning.... I might be able to still make it work though. Somehow.
I think Ill keep the idea of only one frame for almost everything and have the armor and stuff really varied, meaning soldiers can equip their Kensai from a wide variety of weapons depending on their armor and profession.

Id like to wait with posting until some othrs do to get the feel. Ive never done a sci-fi Rp before
