I recently got back from a two week music tour of China, where I got to attend a tea ceremony in Xi'an. I personally can't stand the taste of tea so I mainly suffered through it while watching my friends have a teagasm, but there was this one fruit tea they served that was amazing. I guess in addition to the usual tea leaves you use dried fruit, or something? I don't know anything about it, but it was so good.

there are hundreds of different types of teas.
you have white teas, green teas, black teas, rooibos/red teas, & fruit/herbal teas.

as long as you steep a natural ingredient with water to flavor it, it is technically considered a tea.
