Attack On Titan/Shingeki No Kyojin RP

So I recently started watching the anime Attack On Titan and after a couple episodes I was so intrigued by the premise I thought I'd start a roleplay on it. So, in short we'll be playing human characters in the show during the Battle of Trost (because that's as far as the show has gotten in the US and I hate spoilers so bleh) It'll be up to everyone what unit in the military they're in and what weapons they use (within reason) or if they even want to play a soldier. Civilian characters are welcome to, just no Titan shifters of any kind. Later on in the roleplay, I may even accept apps for Titan players or at least one good player that controls all the Titans.

But anyway, what say ye RPG? Any interest in this?

Quick suggestion, how about instead of setting it in the already established ark set in throst we set it in another part of the world. Perhaps one of the other districts on wall Rose? Maybe Chlorba? That way we could have an entirely new story with new characters but set in in the same world and not have to risk spoilers.

This sounds really interesting, but I agree with the suggestion of creating a new story of it instead of using the already developed stuffs. And if it's set in just one part, it'd end up getting to the point where we wouldn't be able to continue. Perhaps it could even be set in the same world, but with a whole different story. Like, perhaps it could be set 20-30 years prior of the actual show/manga, but with an alternate timeline where the walls were invaded then. If we did that, we could create a whole new story without worrying about inconsistencies and getting to a point where we couldn't continue.

An AOT roleplay will always catch my interest, but before I make any promises I just wanted to agree with the suggestions above. An original story, and an alternate timeline will allow us to get creative, and have a little fun with the plot. If this goes through, and we have something more to work off of, I'll definitely join in!

That's an excellent suggestion guys. I hate alternate timelines, but a different setting would be cool.
As guysenpai suggested, we could do a roleplay of a non canon battle of chlorba or some other city/district on wall rose. I'll get to work making the OOC and if anybody isn't ok with a battle of chlorba or wherever else please let me know now so we can work something out.

Are we just rping the battle? We arn't going to rp anything else such as training, moving on after the battle, and such?

I'd love to roleplay through training and the such, that would be awesome! And yeah, how could we still keep on roleplaying after the battles over? I mean, if we went off of the main story arcs there wouldn't be much surprise or interest in it since we already know what's going to happen, and if we just focused on one battle it would be over in no time and we wouldn't have much else to do. I dunno, but if we want to make this last I'm pretty sure we'd have to add a lot of non canon battles and the such into it.

Going through training, and continuing the story after the battle of Chlorba sounds like fun! We would be able to interact, and have our characters make friends and partners before the battle, and graduation. By the way, will there be a limit to how many character we can play during the roleplay? I have two characters in mind already, but I don't want to put effort into another character if you're only looking for us to play one. After the battle of Chlorba it would be fun to play through graduation and have them do missions, and battles outside the walls. If we choose to have our characters join the Survey Corps, after the battle. If it comes down to it, I'm sure we could bring our thoughts together and come up with some pretty interesting ideas to keep the roleplay moving, as well. c:

I too want to do training and just having one battle would be a shame. I think an alternate time line works best, that or we could set it a number of years before or after the series and have another event.

Although do we have to start off as trainees? I kinda want to play a formerly corrupt military police girl who turns good-er.

All great ideas and I plan to use them.

Multiple characters are fine
Everyone who is able to with their character will start out as Cadets
And the RP will continue after the battle of chlorba. I like the idea of some outside the walls missions and I fully plan on incorporating them into the roleplay. Also, sorry it's taking me so long to reply, I had a computer die and now I have one to share between me and the other five members of my family. So, yeah, logistics issues. Fortunately There's a replacement on the way so it shouldn't be too bad for long.

In my previous post I specifically said everyone who's characters CAN (because some may want to start out playing officers) will start as Cadets. Meaning, in training.
