Society needs to really check itself when it comes to depression. They make it out like it's nothing, but it's crippling. The medication doesn't even do anything worth the money. Depression/Bi-Polar/etc is not a joke. >.<

It's saddening, but no one forced it upon him. Certainly the world loved the man.

He just had his own demons, which finally won over.

My family just recently decided that after 6 years of constantly being on different medications and all of them only complicating things, I'm going to go medication-free. Hence why this really struck me hard, because I struggle with depression. As a lot of people do.

Sometimes people manage their depression, and other times... shit like this happens. Fuck... I don't know. Knowing that someone this beloved and successful would take their own life. It really hits me hard, right into the deepest parts of my soul.

I don't know what else to say. I've got nothing else to say. There is nothing else to say.

Except medication has helped many people through depression, so that's not really accurate.

He reportedly suffered from manic depression for a large part of his life, as someone who is similarly bipolar, this really tears at my heart. I know how hard and shitty things can get, it sucks that someone who always seemed so full of life and joy couldn't pull through.

Pulling from my experience and the others around me, it is. Sorry that I didn't do a study or find one before making my statement.
