City of excitement! Where the people are just as good as the slot machines!
That's what's the travel brochure says. Everyone who comes to this damn city realizes that it's just Las Vegas for the piss poor. Where you're likely to get ripped off as you are shot. A city founded by liars and self-made money, pimps and prostitutes . This land is as cut throat as they get. One wrong step, and you'll be greeted to the barrel of a friendly stranger's revolver.

You're... How do I put this? "Special." Not insulting your intelligence. Special as in unnatural. You're a God among men. Capable of wiping out a building with a flick of your wrist. It's unknown how the hell you even have these powers. But what you do know is that you have a power that people would kill for.
Remember, power corrupts, but only if you let it. It is entirely up to you what you'll use your supernatural power for. Robbing banks, gaining strength, or helping the world for the better. However, there is a new threat looming that will bring this city to it's knees....

Now, stupid introduction aside: Welcome to Highroller Heights, an RP I decided to start here. Now if that introduction didn't tip on what this RP will be about, allow me to elaborate. This is a superhuman RP, you know, like the X-men. However, I have noticed that quite a few RPs on this site that involve superhumans are either about sooper heroes, X-men (And I loathe fanon RPs), or imprisoned in a lab. This... This RP will be a bit difference than what people are used to. It's something else entirely. This will be a super-human RP about regular people living their lives in this city. No capes, mutant mansions, no syringes, just sandboxy fun. This RP will be very character-oriented over being plot oriented. It'll be about the character's development, interaction, subplots, etc, etc. Thus, this RP will be kind of a sandbox RP, but, there'll definitely be a plot, and definitely have direction. It'll just fester, build, and intertwine the characters, and like diarrhea it'll explode and require action. The cast will have a few dastardly villains that will definitely require a swift boot to the behind to defeat.
And, as the title implies, Highroller Heights will be the setting for this RP. It's like Las Vegas. Massive, boiling hot, in the middle of an american desert, and gives you great reason to check your shoes every morning. Just without the class and style that movies and other media outlets build it up to be. It's run down, the people are bitter, and just about everyone wants to make a quick buck - At the expense of others of course. This city has tons of casinos, and other fancy places to make the place look good for the tourists (The main source of income of High-Roller heights). But when you see the city for what it really is, you'll reconsider. By day it's a sandy city, a pleasant place, if you know where to go. At night, the seven deadly sins take over. Sex workers, gangsters, drug dealers, rapists, and lunatics. To say the least crime is high here. Because corruption is rooted so deep, the crimes are brushed aside with a simple wad of cash. High-Roller Heights has racial diversity, so people of all colors are a common sight in this city, along with a high population. The city is located in the middle of an active desert. There is sand far as the eye can see, it's skin blistering hot, and since it's a desert; don't expect rain. I'll expand upon the city even more once (If) I get interest.
As for characters, I'm going to give people a bit freedom here. You can make any character that isn't too ridiculous. I want characters that are civilians, or the kind of people you would see out on the street. But I want flawed characters dammit. Give your characters physical and personal flaws for them to overcome. As for ages, you can go for any aged character you feel like, but I want a little diversity. Yes, I know most of you are teenies, but I would like adults along with teenaged characters, I'll be setting an example with the characters I make. As for powers, I'm going to allow anything, as long as it isn't 1). Overpowered. 2). Stupid. Or 3). Not time travel, mind control, or instant army.
If you're so wet over my idea, I'll preemptively leave a sheet. But since we're in the planning/OOC stage, PM that motherhuffer to me before you do anything. Failure to comply will get you laughed at. And nobody likes that.
