Great apes have been known to use rudimentary tools for decades now. Chimps strip twigs of leaves and use them to 'fish' for termites, for example. And they teach their young to do the same. I don't think orangs even eat fish but I could be wrong.

E: Is there an actual article to this or are you just making a joke based off a picture?

They don't.

They've been using makeshift spears to pick up dropped fruit from the water.

E: None that I know of. That last edit was just speculation.

I originally read the title as "Orangutans are learning to Spanish" - as in, they were learning to speak the language or something.

I think that would be far more interesting.
