Katsumi Fūryoku
Kumo Anbu
Returning From the Land of Snow!

Katsumi stood at the gates of the Land Of Snow, a blank expression on her face as the 17 other Anbu agents assembled themselves in front of her. "Are we ready to depart back to Kumogakure now?" Katsumi asked, meeting the eyes of every Anbu in the area. A chorus of yes ma'ams and nods erupted from the previously quiet Anbu agents, with a nod of her own, she turned to face outwards. "Let us go then," She instructed, not wasting a second as she was off the next second. The teams of Anbu behind her, most surrounded the diplomat and a few others fanned out to scan for any signs of danger.

For the first few hours everything was normal, nothing stood out as dangerous or unclear so they continued on another few hours. "Wait! Please stop!" the diplomat yelled, he had stopped and was bent over trying to catch his breath. He was swarmed with Anbu, trying to figure out what the danger was but here wasn't any. Katsumi narrowed her eyes, walking over to the diplomat with a stony expression.

"What's the problem?" Katsumi demanded to know, her eyes still narrowed at the diplomat. Even though it was clear the only problem was his inability to keep up with them. "We are trying to get back in a timely fashion, if there isn't a real problem then I would prefer you not to stop us," she said, her tone was firm and cold. It didn't leave any room for arguing, it had also shut the diplomat up and looked to have to intimidated him. He nodded, bowed his head as Katsumi walked away from him and started the trek again.

Several Hours Later

The gates to the Village Hidden in the Clouds came into view finally, with a relieved sigh, Katsumi sprinted the last few hundred meters into the village. Taking a deep breath, she breathed in a breath of the villages scent and all the familiar scents it offered. "Escort the diplomat back to his home, I have to alert the Raikage of our arrival and how the mission went," Katsumi said, not waiting for a reply as she was off in the next second. Heading to the Raikages office, she wondered if he would approve of how she led the mission and if anyone had told him of their progress already.

Her thoughts also drifted to the strange man who had tried to steal the gift, was it a mistake to let them live? Would he resurface with tells of a merciful Anbu? Was he afraid that he would wake up to his family dead? There were so many questions, yet she wasn't sure if she wanted to know the answers to them. She wasn't even sure why she didn't kill him, maybe it was because she remembered what it was like to have a mother at the age of the little girl or maybe she just didn't want to spend time killing the family.

Hiroshi Hon & Sayuri Cho
Separation!

Hiroshi listened to the communication between his team - it looked way better than their first awkward words with each other. Sayuri was seeming to take a leading role in the team, at least in the current moment. But he was glad, because communication was the basic groundwork for solid teamwork. Later on, they will learn to work together even without words. But that the question of the future. The present, the mission demanded their full attention. Upon hearing Akira´s suggestion of splitting up, Sayuri turned and gave him a smile with a thumb up." Good suggestion, Akira. Me and Sayuri will move more towards northeast. Hirudora, Akira and Chinatsu, you will move towards northwest. After two kilometers, switch your heading - we will create a paralellogram like pattern to cover more area."

He remained silent for a few seconds to make sure that everybody understood, then continued." Remember the radio communicators! We will move in a patter that is still within their range. As soon as me and Sayuri find something, we will contact you. The same goes for you, Akira, Chinatsu! I am counting on you! Hirudora! Make sure they are safe!" Adressing the team, he mentioned to Sayuri to follow him and they immediately changed direction. His trust in Hirudora was once again reaffirmed when he heard the tiger´s reply." They will be safe with me, Hiroshi. Good hunting." With that, the tiger took the first leap in his new heading, leading Akira and Chinatsu onward on their hunt.

Amegakure Food Plantation
First signes of trouble?

They quickly gathered all the intel they could. Little did they know that they were already watched. Upon observing the security details and the way both the plantation and the packing house was constructed, they gathered enough intel. The Leader will be waiting for them, to return with the valuable information They headed back to the point where they separated and upon meeting, they started to lead a quiet conversation that was ignored by everybody around them. After a while, they all seemed to agree upon something, and they all turned towards the same direction. However, one of them spotted a man that was paying way too much attention to them. He pointed at Itsuo and told his band something. They visibly picked up the pace as they headed towards the exit from the plantation, rudely showing away people and creating some unrest. Were they discovered, or just paranoid?

The Start of the Chuunin Exams!

Amegakure's Trainingscentrum

One week later

It was early in the morning, but it had never been more busy at the newly created training centrum of Amegakure. People were swarming around aiming to find a good seat or a good place to stand. All the fields had been prepared and were ready to host the event that brought people from all over the world to the Land of Rain:

The Chuunin Exams.

An event of great importance as it would decide the immediate future of the young people present. Kages had gathered along with their entourage to see the battles, sensei's were here to watch their students that they had trained. Friends and family were here to see their comrads and relatives fight and would cheer for them to win. And the selected Genin stood ready on the main field to be informed who their matches would be.

At the strike of the hour the announcer rose from his seat and beckonned the people along the main field to be silent. He faced the Genin before him.

"Welcome to the Chuunin Exams. You are here to fight for your promotion, to show us that you are ready for the next level. I will call off the names of the combatants that will fight each other along with the field numbers on which they will be fight. These match-ups are beyond contestation. There will be no switching, no complaining. In real life you will also be unable to chose your enemy.

Now without further ado: the matches.

On field 1 Shikaroku Nara versus Deidara Yuhiko.

On field 2 Koike Hon versus Ezuri Hyuuga.

On field 3 Hayate Hyuzu versus Haruhi Suzumori.

On field 4 Shisen Inuzuku versus Masami Hyuuga.

On field 5 Katsu Uchiha versus Sho Deshuga.

And finally on field 6 Yoshikuni Sadako versus Reyna Azuma.

The man finished his speech with a short bow to the Kages and then sat down again, waiting for the Genin to move to their specific fields. Each would find a referee on the field with him as well as some other interesting conditions that the ANBU of the centrum had set up for them.

On field 1, both Shikaroku and Deidara would see an arena, which the field was like a desert. Several boulders were spread over the field as the sun shined, casting down some shadows. For some reason the viewers wouldn't feel the heat, but it was something both genin would feel as they would enter the field.

By field 2, the Hon and Hyuuga who would face off against each other would enter a forest. A small clearing in the middle would be their starting position. There were some sounds of birds and other wildlife, but none to be seen. The viewers would sit on a somewat raised spots to make sure that they could see the fight in the forest and clearing.

At field 3 was it very different. Instead of a more natural recreated area, Haruhi and Hayate would face against each other in an urban zone. Several scattered houses, it would give the idea of that they would face each other in the midst of a normal village.

Field 4 would at first give the impression of nothing special. Unless one would give a look at the black sky that was gathered above it. Clouds that roared and now and then thunder would lighten the sky. Other than the rather ominous clouds, a plain grassfield.

Very different from the other fields, Field 5 would have more differences in height. The two genin that would fight against each other on this field would start on a small strip of land. At their left a mountain wall would rise steep upwards, while at their left they would find a cliff. If one would throw a look down the cliff, they would only see black. Like something from a nightmare, where you fall down. At the other side of the cliff, which would be ten meters away due the cliff, they would find a similiar scenario.

Field 6 would be a swamp. The girls that would face and fight on this field will start on a small circle of land. Around 5 to 6 meters in diameter, while the rest of the field is was recreated like a swamp. A nice swimming area, thus.

Shisen Inuzuka
Konoha Team 7
Her Decision

As she watched Shiro dart around the small room happily and Arashi napping next to the bed, she thought of the Chuunin exams. There was sure to be someone with considerable strength, someone who could make her look like nothing and she knew that there would be nothing she could do about it. It would be harsh, no doubt about that but it would also be a good experience or so she was told. But she was not sure that it was wise to bring both ninken, especially considering that Shiro was just a puppy still and Arashi was way more experienced. Yet Shiro was very well trained for her age, obedient and disciplined but still she was young. Arashi on the other hand, she was experienced and old enough to the point that she would be able to easily recover from assaults but she was aggressive. Sometimes losing control if she felt threatened, which she would certain to feel in the exams, however she was loyal. Loyalty was a good thing, Arashi trusted no one but Shisen and soon she would trust Shiro just as much.

Shiro was also excited, but still exhibited some behavior that concerned Shisen, she still saw the need to chase after small animals and run to others even if that person was the enemy. That behavior was dangerous, it could get her killed but she also showed restraint, which Arashi struggled in when angered and that was a good thing. Arashi was pure aggressive power, relentless like a full blooded wolf while Shiro was just happy to play and let something be, she wasn't sure of some things. There was no doubt in her mind that once Shiro grew out of her dangerous puppy behaviors then she would be formidable ninken but for now, she had to wait. "Shiro, I think it's best for you to sit this one out, sweet girl," Shisen said, the little white ninken barked happily and Arashi huffed, voicing her indifferent opinion. The small white ninkens head peeked over the side of the bed and beamed at Shisen, who smiled and picked her up.

Kensuke Nimatsu - Team 7 Jounin

Guiding both his competing genin towards the grand arena of Amegakure, silently cursing the rain that was running down his neck. He disliked this valley for a reason. And it was a good one. Rather grimly he reminded himself that he had been here before, which was a great help when leading the genin to the complex of fighting rings. Entering through the competitor's gates he showed both genin the hallways to their arenas, and then gave them a good look. It was in a way pretty emotional to see both his genin here, ready to prove their worth. Despite their short time together and the less than smooth course of their first few missions, he had grown, perhaps even a sort of attached to them. Like a man would curse but secretly like his stubborn horse, so did Kensuke think of his genin. Then again, they had survived two months of intensive training with him, proof of their physical condition, and despite their initial lack of teamwork and tactical aptitude, there had been improvement. Perhaps it still was a bit too early for them to take part in such a dangerous test, but he had granted them the possibility anyways. They might not be the best around, but to see them as the worst would be a grave underestimation.

"Allright. Before you two go off and get yourself inevitably maimed or killed, I'm going to say that when you first joined my squad I wondered how you even got out of the academy alive. Now, after spending two months with you guys, doing missions and training you to the best of my abilities, I still wonder how you got out of the academy alive. The only difference is that I believe there is hope for you two. Despite your young age and short time to prepare, you are both skilled and smart brats, and you shouldn't forget that out there in the field." He said with a complacent smile. He cleared his throat and tried hiding his mile somewhere safe, as he didn't want to show them he was actually a bit proud to be here. No way they should know that. He placed a hand on both of their shoulders and leaned down so he was at an even level with them, giving them a last piece of advice.

"Shisen. Don't let yourself be intimidated. Keep a clear head at all times and work together with Arashi as if he was a part of your body." He said, putting his hand on her shoulder while the dog sniffed his shoe and snorted at him in a very indignant way.

"Ezuri, follow your instinct, but keep a good amount of common sense to temper that with at all times. Don't be overconfident and reckless, but certainly don't make yourself small either." He told the young Hyuuga, looking him into the eyes.

Standing up he pushed both genin towards their respective arenas. "Now go and get yourselves killed or something."

Kumogatarui Dobustu - Mission, start!

It was decided now that Kumoga didn't like this woman, determining that one speaking for all meant they had poor teamwork, she would've said otherwise in defence of the three of them but Hatake-sensei returned before she could do as such. She'd just have to internally frown disapprovingly at Origami for now.

Although she did give the paper spider a curious look as it landed on and clung to her shoulder, she only liked her spiders and no one else's, so she wasn't keen on this paper imitation lurking on her shoulder where she could see it... She'd have to put up with that and frown on the inside too, wouldn't she? But no matter, Hatake-sensei had already said it was time to go.

So the girl looked up towards her sensei and gave a nod. "Understood, Hatake-sensei." Was all she had to say as she followed after Tora, they had some prey to capture after all, she had to hurry if Tora claimed they'd be done in five minutes.

Eiji Emiya

Eiji's eyebrows raised slowly as Ryuu continued to rattle of the answers to EIji's questions. "Well..." He said, not quite sure what to say really. "Okay. That is out of the way." Eiji shifted his feet lightly. He didn't really know what to think of the boy. "You should be careful with uttering 'suck-ups in Konoha'." He said in a half joking matter hoping that the boy would at least lighten up a bit. There was nothing wrong with being serious, but not everything was about fighting. Even as shinobi you were allowed to live and breath. "We have quite a close relation with them after all.

Anyway, let's go to business then. I have two options for you today."
Eiji removed his hands from his pockets and dragged one through his messy hair. "As you might know the Chuunin Exams are starting here in Amegakure. Your teammember is attending this fight as she has been training for quite a while now. Don't be offended when I say that the me you are talking too is not the real me. As Assistant of the Amekage I am supposed to be present at the opening. What we can do are thus two things. You can follow me to the arena and watch the ffights, see some proper action and more important meet different people from different cities. The second option is staying here with me and start with some light training so I can see what you are capable of and what I got to work with." Eiji assessed the boy before him. "Your choice really." He added then.

Harumi Uchiha,
Konohagakure ANBU.

Past time.
On way to Kirigakure, for a trip never to forget!

A mission of Harumi Uchiha.

Enjoy.

Kirigakure. Harumi couldn't say she liked it. It had its charms, but she couldn't see any of it. Possibly due that light fog. Next were the people. There was something about them that she didn't like. Some looked distrustful at almost anything and that irked Harumi. She had placed great detail in her new personality. One that had proven its worth as she hadn't been caught or chased by the shinobi of the water yet. While she was aware that Kirigakure was famed for their spies, their defense against it wasn't that well.
Three day before

Harumi splashed some water against her face. It had been one week and several days now. And this was the third island. If she was correct and had calculated it correctly, the chuunin exams would begin over several days. An event that would last around a week or at possibly two? Harumi sighed as she rose up. Dressed in a Kirigakure shinobi garb, she would look like a regular chuunin. The owner of the outfit? Drowned. A very sad story, cause she had somehow tripped and fell off a cliff. Breaking her neck, she had drowned in the water.

Though now dressed as a normal civilian. Harumi glanced at the corpse. Harumi thought about the name Nina. She had used that name ever since her first victim in the first port she had arrived in. How many had been killed by Nina? How many buildings had been sabotaged? Or how many people had been whispered that they could get much better? A lot of trouble had been caused and Harumi had kept herself on the move. Knowing that sooner or later her actions would catch the attention, it were just minor so far. But today she would carry out one big one. With the Mizukage out of the country, Mika was sure that the nation wasn't that strong. From what she had learned was that Rika almost led the country alone. There was no jounin commander. No person that helped to lead a division like in Konohagakure. Which was all the better for her. Would only make it easier to spread the chaos that would slowly spread.

Heading to the nearby village, Harumi had little problem of entering it. She wasn't Harumi anymore, but Ini. A shorter name than Nina. And not really to Harumi's liking. But it had to do for now.
Several hours later

That was close! Fuck. Harumi thought to herself. She pressed her back to a tree. Her breath was going irregular and she wasn't sure if somebody had followed her. Like the previous time she had blown up a building. It was always risky to do it at broad daylight, but then the guards were less paying attention. A small village wouldn't be a big or appealing target for a sabotage strike. Though she had made sure to not use any ninjutsu and keep her guard up, Mika was rather being too careful than confident. Peeking around, nobody had followed her. Possibly due the fire that would have spread after the explosion.

Slowing down her breath, Harumi looked at her outfit. Still wearing the chuunin garb, she was content. Now it was time for her next move.
''That will cost more, lass.'' The old man said. He frowned at Harumi. Cleaning a glass, Harumi sighed as she pulled out her wallet again to place some more yen on the table. If she wasn't that hungry, Harumi would have decided to leave the place. She was running low on money and had to take care to not squander everything. Else she would have to swim her way back.

''I think I am going to leave the ANBU.'' That one sentence attracted Harumi's attention. It had been close or she had whipped her head to see who had said that particular sentence. The man behind the counter would inspect the money that Harumi had given for a small meal with something to drink.

The conversation was being held between two people. Around her age, a man and a woman. After Harumi had been told that she would get her meal within ten minutes, which caused her to flash the man a smile, she would turn around. Careful to not rise suspicioun with the two people she wanted to eavesdrop on, Harumi looked like she was wavering where she would sit. Eventually she sat down near the pair. ''But what are you going to do then?'' The woman asked, sounding a bit surprised. The man sighed and it became silent. To not give the idea that she was eavesdropping, Harumi stared for a while out of the window. On an occassion she would throw a look around to see if her meal would come. ''I think just becoming a jounin. Seems that Lady Mizukage isn't as strict as the Fifth.'' The man finally answered.

''Thank you.'' Harumi said to the waiter that brought her meal. But she smiled for a different reason and her thanks also aimed at another person than the waiter. Starting on her meal, Harumi was sure of it. Today would be a good day.
''Please! Stop!'' The man grunted as he tried to free himself. ''Let me ask it again. Who?'' The man wanted to scream as he tried to get out of his bed. Wrapped in paper he couldn't move as it seemed to constrict and thus restrain his movement. With a cold stare, Harumi waited for till he would slowly start to stop resissting. ''Next time you ressist I will start to cut off your leg. Now, who?'' Harumi asked in a cold but hushed tone.

''Origami! I swear it. The woman that uses paper! Please.. I want to live a more p-'' His words were cut off. He tried to break free, but the paper that restrained him wouldn't even bend. After some minutes the body of the man didn't move anymore. ''Ironic name. Nina sounds nicer.'' Harumi whispered as the paper would slowly move away from the man, turning back into her normal form.
Walking around, Harumi was on her guard. Dressed as a mere young woman, who seemed to search for something on the market. With a calm pace, she would talk here and there with a shop or stand owner. Even with some locals. The idea she gave was that she was a very nice and polite woman who was genuinely interested in the people she talked with. But now and then she made the bold move to ask questions. Claiming she was visiting her aunt and uncle, because she came from another isle, Harumi managed to gather intelligence. Nothing too grave like army numbers or such. But information she could use for her personal information.

''It is terrible. My cousin has written me that a few villages are growing discontent with the growing rumours and incidents. I heard that not so long ago, a small vilage almost burnt down. The shinobi post that was there to offer protection had exploded. Probably an incident, but some.'' The old woman of the fruit stand that had taken some time to talk with Harumi, looked to her left. A group of patrolling shinobi marched and Harumi knew enough. Unlike in the Fire Union, it wasn't only the past Mizukages that had a cruel and oppressive reputation. The shinobi serving the Mizukage were cruel and unforgiven. Once they were out of sight, the old woman continued. ''Some say rebells are rising!''

Faking that she was shocked, Harumi's eyes widened as she placed a hand on her mouth. ''B-But that is terrible!'' Harumi said, looking ever more worried. The old woman nodded heavily as she placed a hand on Harumi's shoulder. ''It is my child! Rebels are often killed without questioning. Never say anything bad about the Mizukages...'' The woman looked a bit bitter and sad as she advised that to Harumi. Another one that has probably a story of how one close to her has been oppressed or lost due the cruelity of the Kirigakure shinobi or Mizukages.'' She thought. Maybe the Fire Union, even while it was growing ever more strict and cold towards other nations, not so bad. They didn't threat their civilians that bad or would let their shinobi act like she had heard from several people.
Present Time,
Striking at the heart.

The mirror made Harumi waver. She didn't like the look she had. Though she wasn't one for vanity, the look she had wasn't one that made her feel good. But this way she could enter the Mizukage Office without much of a problem. The only what objective that remained was to try to distract her presence. Her chakra signature wasn't known, what made her able to sneak into the village as she had dressed herself as a mere civilian. But now she would try to enter the most secured building of the village. Playing it safe was the only way now. Else she wouldn't make it outside of the building.

Sighing, she considered her options. The rumours about an uprising in some villages of several islands were rising and though that would lure away some Kirigakure shinobi, Harumi wanted to be sure. She would need to form a distraction. Lowering her head, she had an idea. But it could cost innocent lives. People that had already suffered under the harsh and unfair regime of the Mizukage and their shinobi. But as she looked back at the mirror, she knew that she had to do it. Maybe the shinobi of the Fire Union weren't that cruel in their own country, she knew what was to be expected of her.

No mercy would be granted to her, so none would be given in return.

It was quite busy, which made Harumi ponder a second if she should turn around. Turning around, she bumped against a Kirigakure shinobi. The man frowned and in an instant he lashed out. Surprised, Harumi's hand shot up, but before she knew it she was laying on her side. Blood was slowly slipping from her nose. Looking up, a foot kicked in her stomach. ''Watch out, bitch.'' The man sneered. He kicked her again and out of reflex, Harumi's right hand shot up. Forming a fist, the punch would make the man gasp and lean forward. Getting on her feet, Harumi whipped the blood from her nose as she looked at the man in pain. ''You-''

''You really dare?'' The hit against the back of her head made Harumi stumble. The second Kirigakure shinobi stood behind her. ''Got some nerve, don't you?'' There were people watching from a distance, as how the young woman was receiving a beating from the two shinobi. But instead like so many, Harumi didn't just accept it. No, now and then she tried to fight back and called names.

Getting frustrated as one of the men wasn't used to the fierce attitude, he ordered his companion to grab and hold Harumi. Trying to struggle free, there was blood and dirt covering some of Harumi's shirt. Panting, she looked at how the man took out a lighter. ''Fiery nature, right?'' His companion laughed and Harumi turned pale. It was clear what the man was plotting as he approached her with the lighter. Trying to struggle free as she screamed, trying to kick the man away, tears were rolling over her cheeks. But to no avail as the smell of fire was spreading. The dress of Harumi had caught fire and the man that held her firmly only released her once the fire was spreading fast. Out of fear and panicked, Harumi tried to kill the fire. But instead of rolling over the ground, she tried to take out the burning dress. But the fire managed to catch a hold of her hair. She became a living torch. The two shinobi looked with a cold look as the woman ran around before they would walk away.

But the burning Harumi was running against buildings. Of wood. Screaming, she caught attention of many a people that were wondering what was happening. However, when somebody tried to help her, they were held back. It had been the work of the shinobi of the Mizukage and the locals knew better. However the situation would become worse. Five buildings were catching fire. That was spreading at a fast rate. Harumi's scream lowered as she fell against the fifth building. Shocked and panicking, the locals rushed to try to put out the fire. But by the time that any shinobi or the locals were fighting the fire, a heavy cloud of smoke was rising up.
''Morning.'' ''Origami'' walked through the halls of the Mizukage Office. There were shinobi rushing out of the Office, towards the big fire. It was spreading in a fast speed and quite hard to fight. Due standing close to other buildings, the use of big water techniques weren't possible. It could lead to collateral damage. And with the report of two Kirigakure shinobi that had ligthed up a woman, the locals were acting cold towards the rushing shinobi. They had to deal with an angry local group as well spreading fire.

Maybe I should had taken the head of the man. ''Origami'' thought while walking down the halls of the Office. Not that it was possible to cut off the head of the man that had wanted to leave the ANBU. He would be burned down with his house. Erasing any trace of Harumi's chakra signature that could be left behind by the use of ninjutsu. Continue to a certain place, Harumi noticed that she had to use force on this part. There were still guards and it was evident that they wouldn't go away from the sealed room where the objective of Harumi's mission was. Now the hardest and most riskiest would follow. To grab what she was searching for and then leave Kirigakure as fast she could.

The information that she had gathered from the man, the ANBU that had wished to change from division, had told her enough. The pot in which the Six Tails was sealed would be heavily guarded and inside this section of the building. With most of the shinobi more focused on the spreading fire and local group that wasn't staying silent, Harumi knew she had to make use of this chance. Else it would be all for nothing. The deeds she had done on the other islands, that would have attracted shinobi from Kirigakure to the sites to investigate her crimes. Crimes committed without the use of ninjutsu.

Walking around the corner, she saw seven ANBU. There wasn't a different look, but she suspected that they weren't just regular ones. No, they would be elite of the elite. Approaching and staying in character, Origami didn't show any emotion. ''Halt. State your business!'' It was more a sneer than a question or order. ''Origami'' stared at the man as she came to a halt. Five steps away from the ANBU. ''Lady Mizukage had requested I would analyze the pot in which the Six Tails had been sealed in.'' Was the answer, spoken with almost no emotion. Harumi wasn't sure if she could really play as Origami, but she wouldn't waver or show any sign of hesitation. One signal was given and one of the ANBU would walk past ''Origami''. ''Then we will see if that is true.'' The man replied, who had spoken before.

Making a short bow, ''Origami'' would wait. But as the ANBU that walked away would walk out of sight, just around the corner there, ''Origami'' exploded. This caused the ANBU that had walked away to run back. ''What the-'' He gasped for air as he was stabbed in the back. ''Your head would do well.'' Harumi whispered, a morbid joke, as she would pull out the tanto. With a quick movement she stabbed the man in his neck, before she would run into the room that had been breached. The explosion, caused by the disguised paper clone, had damaged and opened the doors to the sealed off room.

Though feeling a wavering going through her, the hands of Harumi grabbed the pot. She had only taken a quick glance at the pot. The symbol of the Mizukage was seen on it and Harumi felt a slight second of being scared. She was holding a pot that held a monster captive that could easily kill her and probably half of Kirigakure before it would be captured or subdued in any possible way. Running through the hall, she was certain she had to be fast. Cold sweat ran down the face of Harumi as more explosions followed. Placed in a strategic manner, Harumi had left paper tags that would trigger an explosion to both hold off as to attract attention. Not that she would commit suicide to explode herself and most of the building to smithereens.

Still holding the pot, Harumi quickly leaped out of a window. ''Shit. Shit... Aah, really?'' Harumi whispered to herself. She felt her left side aching with pain. The bushes hadn't really caught her and break her fall. Panting, she could see from the bushes the black smoke that was rising out of the department of the big building. Her explosions wouldn't damage the building that heavily, but hopefully could the fire cause more damage. Greetings from the Fire! Harumi thought as her escape plan would kick in.
''Nobody is allowed to leave the gates.'' The man shouted, holding a katana with his right hand. Using his left hand, the shinobi shoved a fat merchant backwards. His cart was been searched by others. ''This is madness! I have official documents of the Mizukage! I'm permitted to leave and sell -'' The shinobi with the katana shook his head. ''This is an emergency situation. Nobody is allowed to leave.''

Shit. Come on! Harumi thought. She was on the edge of panicking. How could she escape and bring the pot with the Six Tails back to Konohagakure? Her mission was clear about it. Bring back one of the two tailed beasts or try to win information about them. Her actions had delayed any search for her, but the Kirigakure shinobi weren't stupid. There was an effective lockdown activated and Harumi's options to escape started to vanish. Looking at the pot, she bite her lower lip. In the shadows of an alley, she had managed to take refuge and was able to hear what was being said. But what now? What she could imagine was that the situation had two clear scenario's.

One, she would try to fight her way out. She had around half of her chakra left and could try to deceive and delay any pursuers with her Paper ninjutsu. But the risks of being defeated and captured were big. And being captured didn't mean instantly dead, no. She would likely be interrogated by the Kirigakure ANBU or any intelligence division. Then she wouldn't only fail her mission, but give Kirigakure a reason to claim and act against the Fire Union. Along with any information Harumi had about the Fire Union. Not an option.

The second scenario was however more horrific. Unleashing the Six Tails. It was very simple as she had been briefed on how to release something from such a seal jar pot. With the beast going to rampage in Kirigakure, it would lead to heavy damage. And a way to escape the village and hopefully country. Only her mission to capture the beast would be a failure. Which made her needing to chose between the small chance of succeeding in her mission or unleashing the wrath of the Six Tails upon the people of Kirigakure. Breathing heavily, Harumi stared at the jar pot. I rather sail for years... but.
''It is clear.'' One of the shinboi said. The fat merchant raised his right fist, holding the official document. ''What did I tell you? Well?!'' He was huffing and puffing as he tried to scold the captain of the gate for his action. The captain seemed to think about he would do, but his answer would soon come. Slowly everybody around in the area would feel something ominous. A rising feeling that would cause any person to stop talking, babies crying and animals running away from the place. This kind of fear would continue to spread over the district and eventually over all of Kirigakure.

Then it would be visible. A growing dark red figure was growing steadily. Buildings were being shoved and crushed by the expanding the mass of ominous dark red subtance. It was starting to take form and only then some realized what it was. ''RUN!'' A man shouted. ''IT IS A TAILED BEAST!'' At the end of the shout, the Six Tails had emerged fully from the jar pot. And then it started to attack the village, not waiting for one second.
Breathing heavily, Harumi was bathed in sweat. She sat on her knees as she was trembling over her whole body. Her eyes closed, it was like she was trying to push back the memory that had been burned into her memory. Pale was her face, like that of a corpse as she couldn't breath in a regular and normal pattern. Flashing images of what she had unleashed and the insane amount of Killing intent had hit her with full force. The sounds at the distance made it clear. There was no need to look back. No, her whole body screamed to her that she had to run. Run and never come back to the place that would now face the wrath of a Tailed Beast. Yet, Harumi's face turned. Only a glimpse was enough. The beast was going rampant, not set on trying to escape as well. No, it was unleashing its fury upon the village and its inhabitants.

Getting up, Harumi shivered. Her arms were wrapped around herself, as she was trying to carry herself away from the village. For a second she could imagine the face of the old woman she had spoken the day before. ''Sorry. I am so sorry.'' Harumi whispered to herself, tears rolling over her cheeks as she walked away. But the distraction, the attack of the beast, had allowed her to escape the village. It would be long before any possible pursuers would try to hunt down her trail.
Silently Harumi stared. The sea was somehow beautiful, but Harumi also found it a strange place. The sun was settling down as the ship was sailing away. Thinking about her operation, she was wondering what the Hokage would say. Sighing, Harumi closed her eyes. The images flashed again. The old lady, the beast that went rampant. Opening her eyes again, Harumi still looked pale. It made one of the other passengers ask if she was alright. Flashing a smile, Harumi answered she was doing well. Just little headache. With the ship sailing away from the island where Kirigakure was founded, Harumi was already worried about the end of her mission.

To report what she had done in order to escape the Mist village alive.

Ryuu looked up at his Sensei taking in his words. "I know we have a close relationship with Konohoa, and I respect most Shinobi from the Village. Just the stuck-ups in the Uchiha Who would label me inferior. Although, Sensei, I would like to go the exams and see my teammate on action, perhaps even get to meet them. Besides with my Sharingan, I might be able to gauge how others fight, and perhaps pick up a move or two." The boy said. Although the coldness in his voice was very evident. He wasn't telling something to Eiji. The boy wanted to keep his history with his parents to himself, and as always his inner defenses were on guard when others asked questions. That was usually when they made fun of him.

Masami Hyuuga
Konohagakure Genin, Team Six

Chuunin Exams!
The Will of Fire burns bright!

I have experience so many things ...

Masami never felt the way she was just feeling. She was terrified and excited at the same time. She worked hard for several years, and all that effort will culminate today. Today, in the greatest test she is yet to face. She could suddenly remember things from her life she thought to be forgotten. She remembered the day the Cursed Seal was placed on her forehead - and how little of it she understood back then. She remembered her first trainings in the Gentle Fist and how terrible she was. Then, her mind flashed back to her academy days and to her results that pleased her above all things. Next was her graduation, when she officially attained the rank of the Genin - and the supreme joy that came with it. A secodn later, she was remembering meeting her first teacher, Zakito Hon, the former Third Hokage. And of course, she could see the images of the battle at the Hon Estate flashing before her eyes. Next was her last training with Hiron-Sensei and before she realized ... she was here. In Amegakure. In the Chuunin Exams.

She was sitting with her legs crossed under each other, her hands resting on her knees. Hiron-Sensei was seeing off Shikaroku before his big match, but that was fine with Masami. She wanted to spend some time alone before her big test. The nervosity she felt jsut a while ago disappeared. She was calm. She could shut off all the noise that was coming from the arena before her. Taking a last few deep breaths, as she heard her name being called, she exhaled. The name of her opponent escaped her ears, as the noise once again returned to her ears. She felt as rested and as prepared as she could before her first match. Either she wins and might be promoted, or loses and gainst another valuable experience. So, she stood up and headed out into the arena, with a big smile on her lips. Taking the few steps needed to enter the arena, she stopped for a while. Then, after another deep breath, she made the first step into the arena.

Shisen Inuzuka
Konoha, Team 7

Last Minute Thoughts and Hopes

She stood still, her heart beating faster than she thought possible and her ears were ringing. Arashi seemed calm, she sat on the right of Shisen and was carrying Shiro by the scruff of her neck. Even though the young ninken was not participating in the exams, she thought it was a good idea to bring her to watch the matches. Her guardians, the old couple who she lived with, would watch Shiro during her match and keep her calm as well. Her thoughts left the ninken, going back to the name that was called out, the name of her opponent.

Masami Hyuuga

Shisen thought of Ezuri, who was also a Hyuuga and knew that the small bit of information she had on him would also apply to Masami. Both had the same Kekei Genkai, striking the opposing persons chakra points and stopping the circulation of chakra. There was doubt that her opponent would rely on the Kekei Genkai and would much prefer to fight up close, within striking distance. Most of her offensive jutsu was also tai jutsu, brute force and speed. Taking a deep breath, she looked around and saw the field she would be fighting on, nothing out of the ordinary except the clouds above it. What chakra nature did Masami have?

Shisen frowned, trying to form a basis of a plan that did not have her so close to her opponent. If possible, could she stay at a distance from Masami? No, she couldn't do that. She needed to be able hit and barrel into her opponent, but still keep the close range fighting to a minimum unless she could eliminate the Kekei Genkai from factoring in. Shisen hoped that she knew enough to make herself noticeable and that maybe her opponent was weaker than Ezuri, although it probably wasn't possible.

The old coule finally showed up, putting a leash on Shiro and taking her to an area where they could safely watch the matches. Leaving both Shisen and Arashi to think more on the soon approaching match. "No turning back now Arash," Shisen murmured. Arashi lifted her head and then huffed her agreement, barking a couple times before yawning loudly.

Akira Kurasawa
Team 6

"Best of luck Sensei." Nodding swiftly Akira turned to break away from his Sensei and Sayuri heading alongside Hirudora to the Northwest, keeping an eye out for traces of people passing through. After the groups were a small distance apart he moved his had to tap the communicator, enabling the channel. "Test. Sensei, Sayuri, Chinatsu, is the signal clear?" As he spoke he looked over his shoulder to the bow bearer, he still wasn't completely sure what to make of her but he knew that if he came to blows he would have to trust her.

Glancing forwards again Akira reached into his tool bag and rummaged around for a kunai, eventually his hand clasped around the handle and drew the throwing tool and keeping it handy in case he spotted the target. "Hirudora, do you know the traitor's scent?" He shouted ahead to the summoned guide before opening the comms systems once more. "Sensei, does the traitor have any clue on how to camouflage or cover his tracks? You still haven't made it very clear what we're dealing with."

Hiron Hon,
Konohagakure Jounin | Team 9

At Masami.

The shadow clone that was left with Masami said nothing. He had thrown a glance at her, but seeing how calm and focused she was, he was sure of it. She would do her best and give it her all. Which what he would want her to do. While she was heading to the arena, Hiron walked to the tribune. The shadow clone would take a seat and simply watch how his student would enter the field. He could remember the few times that she had been panicked that she had been too late. But now she looked calm and focused. Not scared or nervous as he had been a bit afraid for.

Bringing his right hand to his mouth, he would let out a hard whistle. Some people looked up, but Hiron's eyes were locked on Masami. He wasn't sure if she was hearing him, but he would give her a small nod as well smiling. Though he wasn't sure if she would be capable of winning as each genin had always a chance of winning if they tried their best, he was convinced that she wouldn't do it badly.
Hiron at Shikaroku's match.

With Shikaroku walking away, looking ready and more confident, Hiron was worried. The boy lacked heavily in some fields in Hiron's opinion. But he knew how to use his brain and if he would be able to hold and fight for some time, Hiron would be more than content. Walking to the tribune, where he would take a seat, he eyed the boy. Wondering what he was feeling or experiencing, Hiron realized that Shikaroku didn't had the experience as Masami had. He had never been to a battlefield or an advanced mission. Of course, he had trained and worked hard. Knowing fully as well that this was more a chance to gain experience, but Hiron hoped that Shikaroku would try to make use of this chance.

Trying to become a chuunin or showing everybody that he wasn't somebody that was a dead weight. But a proud member of Team 9. ''Shikaroku.'' Hiron called out as he stood up. Unlike by Masami, the worries of Hiron were bigger with the boy. ''Remember!'' Not needing to shout out another word, Hiron remained standing as he kept his eyes focused on Shikaroku. Hopefully he wouldn't get hurt too badly. Else it would be not his own, but that of his sensei's fault. Hiron's own mistake.
