This is not a money scam, app scam, or Facebook scam. If you vote, there are directions on the bottom here that tell you how to avoid further attention from the app.

Hello, all! My name is Tyler Cundiff, and my friend Laura is depressed. She could really use my help right now, and by extension I could use your all's.

Laura has entered a contest to become the poster girl for a new line of makeup her family has used in tradition. The company is called Shiseido, and the makeup line she's entered the contest for is called IBUKI!

https://www.facebook.com/shiseido?v=app_448952861833126&rest=1

Unfortunately, this link seems to not want to work, so you might have to click "View Entries", then search for the name "Laura Jean", or just "Laura" and she is the first one. This right here would be her beautiful photo:

Laura is a very, very important friend to me, and in fact is an RPer on the website where I met her. Her depression stems from personal issues that I have no right to divulge, so I suppose I can't make a very convincing case about that, but honestly I hope I don't have to. This is essentially a beauty and popularity contest and will help her confidence and self-esteem immensely if she wins, I'm sure of it.

in case you're wondering if this is a money ploy, I really doubt she'd get paid much if at all for a few advertisements, but she IS supporting herself (in college) and her son on her own so maybe it wouldn't be so bad in that right, either.

How to Avoid the App from Bothering your Facebook
After you vote, it says it needs your friend's list and junk, but so far my friends and I have been able to avoid it sending out anything, posting for us, etc by doing the following:
1. After clicking "Vote", you'll be asked about the app. Simply click "Not Now".
2. The next thing that pops up asks you to share, which you can simple click "Cancel" for and it will still vote (although sharing it would be even nicer!)
3. Lastly, it might ask about the app a second time, to which you simply only need to click "Not Now" again.

That's all, and if you could do that for me and for Laura, we'd both appreciate it very much. Thank you and God bless you all.<3

I can tell you right away that this 'beauty and popularity contest' is not going to help her depression, it's probably going to make it worse. If she is depressed, she should seek professional psychological/religious help or medication.
