Selene was at a lost for words. She looked at her boss wide-eyed and frozen in place after hearing the words that had came out of his mouth. "B-But... You can't fire me!" She pleaded, slamming her hands on the man's desk. "Look, sweetie... You and I both know that your work is amateur, and there were plenty of occasions where I had to call you into my office to scold you for your crap work! And then you tell me the same thing over, and over, and over again and quite frankly I'm sick and tired of your lack luster excuse of articles." Selena held her breath, her hands balling up into fists as she grabbed her rejected rough draft and tried her best to avoid crying in front of her former boss. "Well... Fine. I didn't need this place anyways! Good riddance." And with that she turned on her heels and began to evict herself from the office.

Weeks and Months went by after she had gotten fired, unable to find a job and her savings were starting to run low which meant that she wouldn't have long until she couldn't pay for rent. Selene didn't want to call her mother, or let anyone know what was going on but eventually she was going to have to surrender to the fact that she needed help. Her mother understood, thankfully, and eventually after a week or so she found where she was going to be staying for the next 2 months while she found her footing again. During this was all going down, the blonde was working on her book that she had started not too long ago, but because she was working it was impossible to get it done. So here she was, with her belongings standing in front of the door to where her new home would be.

Hesitantly the woman knocked on the door and waited for the person who lived here to open the door. When she did she raised a brow and asked, "Are you Uncle David?"
