You have heard of the Justice League? Yes, of course you have, who on this planet hasn't. What of Young Justice, the team of sidekicks and apprentices, who just last year stopped the Tomorrow Woman and her insane plans? I was one of them for a while, that is correct, but not any more. I no longer think their methods are enough to protect this world. Just as prevention is better than cure, we must seek out the root of evil before it flowers into something far more sinister.

For this reason I have been tasked with forming a team, one unlike any other. We will work in the shadows. We will take on the missions the League dares not. We will cross the lines that 'good' men cannot, all in the name of protecting the innocent. We will do what must be done, even if it blurs the line between right and wrong.

If we do our jobs right no one will even know we have done a job at all. We will not be celebrated as heroes. We will be the monsters on the side of angels.

We will be Outsiders.

Fenrir

This game, set in an alternate DC comics universe, will explore what it means to really be a hero. The sacrifices that must be made, the costs that demand payment, the lines that have to be crossed. Just like in the real world things aren't going to be black and white. Every action and choice will have a consequence, some good and some bad.

The Outsiders is actually a spin-off from Kid Lanterns long running Young Justice RP, a concept I've never seen on this site. In essence this will allow us to share a continuity, opens up story telling potential, helps with universe building and gives us the option of crisis crossovers further down the road.

I'm looking for a small (About four or five), dedicated group of players to take on the roles of a group of misfits and outcasts, anti-heroes and reformed villains. The type of guys that would never make it on the Justice League or Avengers, but might just have what it takes for the Outsiders. Characters should preferably be OC's, but you can put new spins on preexisting DC characters. Ideally I'm after a real mix of powers and personaltys. Diversity is the key to a good superhero team in my opinion. Below is a skeleton CS, as well as the CS for my character Fenrir to showcase what I'm looking for.

Name: Vincent van Manson Alias: Glitch Age: 16 Personality: Glitch is a gamer at heart, and his life alone with nothing but videogames has given him a twisted personality. He has no qualms about killing, but only to advance the objective. He really is careing at heart but it can be heard to see sometimes. Powers: - He can materialize, and digitize, objects and people in and out of video games. - He can teleport useing the internet and his digitization ability. - He control, enhance, and use the powers of powerful digital spirits. Weaknesses: - without tech he's lost. - if you take away his spirits you take away most of his powers. - he's a digital being himself and an emp will kill him. Appearance: Glitch has pure white hair and red eyes. His teeth are razor sharp, and he has dark bits under his eyes because he gets like no sleep. He wears a combination of several game outfits, over a basic pair of jeans and a white tee. He wears a pokemon cap, red tinted glasses, and the pipboy 3000. He has various items on him including the master sword strapped to his back, pokeballs on his belt, and Simon Belmont's whip on the other side. The pipboy is modified, and has several cameras as well a connecting to an earpiece wirelessly. BRIEF Bio: Vincent was a gamer, but his mother didn't believe in them with religious fervor, literally she believed they went against the holy. She snapped and after completing a fantastically multistory bomb shelter. She threw all his games in their and when she found him down their she killed him and bricked up the wall, which no one ever figures out... It's uncertain what the state of the town above him was because it changed its name and he couldn't find it. He woke up and over time figured out his powers and after he found an ancient military network he went and surfed the web. He read all over the internet about the superheroes, as well as learning about the internet supernatural. What they bring to the team?: An alternate approach to the world, as well as several useful others who come as his spirits who can be a big help. Notes: so, this is a favorite character and it's based on creepy pasta. If I have to chafe it I will, and just make a new character.

And I feel there a gaps in his bio, such as what aspect of gaming was it that his mother took such umbridge with, and how did she get away with the murder of her son? Surely someone would have noticed her son disappeared. And how has a town dissapeared, especially from someone with the kind of access Vincent would have to information via the internet. Finally, what was it that made him 'wake up' from death?

Digital spirits, I think of things like Brvr and Ben drowned. It doesn't have to actually be those sorts of things, but think of things like those. They would be any being that lives inside a video game, including ghosts and self aware characters or whatever. When he digitized things, it a mostly the things he materialized. It's raising things out of games, like items and stuff, and digitize would be the reverse She was suspected of murder, but they never found his body in the bunker they never knew about. I don't know what you mean by town disappearing, she was on the outside of town and installed a direct internet connection to people. He doesn't know what caused him to wake up, but I would say it's his own madness that did it. And he doesn't even know he was dead, even though he found his bones they had been nawed on so he didn't think they were his. I'd say a bit of his spirit lingered in his stuff, and his ghost had corporeal form.

oooooh snap I just realized my character power is similar to Fenrir. Whoops. I'll finish her regardless Name:Belle Jones Alias: Beast (Called Princess Beast by those who know her sweet nature) Age: Ten Personality: Belle is one of those people with a complete "can do" attitude. She tries her hardest in everything she does and tries her hardest to keep her teammates positive too. This positivity can come off as clingy annoyance to people who don't like constant interaction. She can also come off as childish or innocent, but she is far from this. Belle has a very youthful personality and an optimistic outlook to life and adventure. She can be quite reckless when she needs to have fun but normally, she'll go about everything with a cool approach. She is also extremely respectful. If you are older then her then she will listen to anything you say and will do anything you ask her to. Also, like most other children, Belle loves to talk to other people. She can make a conversation out of almost anything, however this sometimes comes as a bad thing since she doesn't understand when she needs to be quiet. She also had the tendency to turn things into games, maybe as a way of dealing with fear and stress. Powers: Think: Small, speedy, furry hulk. When Belle is in danger, or if the circumstances call for it, her body undergoes a transformation since her 'fight' is might stronger then her 'flight' drive. This transformation pretty much turns Belle into a beast. Her vocalizations become snarls and growls and body becomes stronger and faster. In this form her strength and agility increases. It's extremely hard to calm her down out of this rage, and it usually best to just let herself exhaust herself out of it. Weaknesses: Whenever her brain shifts over into beast mode, her body tends to focus on things like running away or punching whatever is in her way, not so much higher level thinking. Whenever Belle's body goes through its transformation, her intelligence will drop drastically. This isn't permanent by any means-rather, it's just she'll be operating off panic and instinct rather than reason and logic. Furthermore, her short-term memory will not be working as clearly, so her memory of what happened shortly before the transformation and what occurred during the transformation will be fuzzy. Finally, similar to growing pains, shifting into a big fuzzy ball of death will cause her to have some residual pain and soreness after wards, along with some pretty heavy fatigue. Maintaining the hyper-metabolism of her furry form for longer than fifteenish minutes (without practice) will be difficult as well-if she fatigues in her beast form, she'll just revert back to a little girl. Appearance: Despite being a Super, she doesn't seem all that different from a normal child. Belle has a medium-dark skin tone (Or as this chart is telling me “mocha”). She is just barely four feet tall, and stands with a very slight hunch. She is also slightly underweight at 65 pounds. She appears very lanky, with small amounts of newly developing muscle mass, and like most children her legs seem to make up most of her height. Belle has soft facial features; big brown eyes, thin lips and a wide nose. Her teeth are slightly crooked, but she still has a nice smile. Her hair is a very dark brown, although people would just call it black, and is extremely messy and all over the place. It consists of all sorts of random consistencies, some loose curls, some tight curls and some soft and thin straight pieces. Despite this, the messy hair looks good on her. She can normally be seen wearing floral print dresses with matching hair clips stuck up in her hair. She doesn't like wearing shoes, but will sometimes settle for flip flops or loafers to please her parents. However, when she shifts over into her beast form everything changes. Thick, brown, fur sprouts all over her body. Her fingernails and teeth become long and pointed, her back hunches forward as she runs on her four limbs. BRIEF Bio: Belle cannot remember much about her life before her powers began to expose. From a young age Belle had been told to keep her powers under control by keeping her emotions always in check. This kept her from going to school like other kids, and kept her away from making relationships with other people other then her parents. Belle often felt guilty about her powers, she made her parents fear her unintentionally. Anything could set her off into a deadly rage. There were times when Belle suddenly woke up to her parents huddling in a locked bedroom, trying to keep Belle out. Soon the family began to receive threats from neighbors, calling Belle a beast and a monster. And in a turn of events, that seemed more like a blessing, Belle was recruited into the Outsiders. Her parents only hoping she would be trained to ignore her transformations. What they bring to the team?: A good physical attacker, and an agile one at that. However, she lacks discipline and training. It seems like she is part of the Outsiders because she wants to be able to control herself. Notes:

Name Litheal Alias Blink Age 16 Personality If one could never take things to seriously it would be blink, although his demeanor presents carefree and casual the sword that he wields holds the weight of all those who he has slain. Upon receiving this blade he could not carry it let alone lift it off the table that it was placed. Taking every challenge he could he finally managed to lift the blade accepting the weight that burdened it down. The weight of the lives the blade had taken transferred from the sword to him silently as the blade became weightless, although the blade still weighed more than the sun and stars it was his weight to carry. Powers Blink - The sword he carries allows him to pass through a dimensional hole pushing him forward almost like a teleport that will transfer him to different locations. Although he can not blink into places he can not see, it still helps him to blink around his opponent allowing him an easy win in any fight that he finds himself in. -Non super powers- Athletic - With years of experience in sword fighting the blink power is lightly used due to Litheal's exceptional sword handling skills, his speed is also a huge factor in a fair fight with an opponent. Weaknesses Losing his sword will render him almost powerless as well as being unarmed. Depression, with the blade transferring the lives to Litheal will burden him down with the weight of the ones he has taken, with an uplifting free spirited guy he takes this very seriously. Litheal will try every effort to refrain from taking lives if only to save himself the grief later, this usually gets him into rough situations and simply put he usually tends to have to kill the ones who's lives he feels do not need to be taken. Appearance BRIEF Bio Litheal is not homeless in the way you would think a homeless man would be, he does not carry himself like the urchins on the street nor is he begging for cash on the corner. You wouldn't tell by looking at him that he struggles with social skills or even finding a place to sleep - that's because he doesn't, empty houses are all he seeks when he is interested in shelter. Looking through the window is good enough to find himself blinking into the open space. This isn't the sort of activities that people find a hero doing, but this is his compromise for the smallest misdeed that he can do that will not raise eyebrows at his intentions. Litheal smiles in wicked situations, he is the type to smile through a funeral but behind that laugh is a plague of ideas and serious thoughts about what is going to happen next. What they bring to the team? Morale balance - "Do we have to kill all of them?" Strategic foresight. Notes Blink has never had any contact with any league or justice affiliation, he feels he needs to be a part of the outsiders to keep innocent lives even if they have chosen the wrong path out of harms way if their lives can be spared. Everybody should have a second chance.
