Pyrrhic city. A grey and neon bustle of tall buildings, fast cars, smoke and busy souls. Money flows in and out of it's streets like blood through veins. Business is booming, as long as your business goes through the Modacci's. A sophisticated and ruthless gang, they have their fingers in anything worth a few cents, with them you soar, without, you sink. Set on a world somewhat like our own, this story would take place in a city built around being strong, in a society built the same. People who can overpower others, take what they want, and really, when everyone has some sort of innate magic or superpower, everyone is fair game. There isn't much that can't happen in this city. Last week an entire office building of people disappeared leaving nothing but their clothes. A rival gang fight has been going on no stop since last Friday, and the underground hoverbike race was cut short by a stray wyrven breaching the tunnels they were racing through. Full of wealth. -[REDACTED] -Dome of the protectors: A large dome made of black glass and metal, it serves as a base for an up-coming business, paying citizens to hunt down crime throughout the city. Run by a mysterious group. Not the government. -City hall: Added to this list simply for it's high amount of traffic. Ransacked once a month, seems to be built on 15 different kinds of native burial grounds. Simply bad luck. -[REDACTED] -Shrine cathedral: A sort of gathering place of those who study magic. A safe haven for those usually outcasted. -High-Line sky-port: The largest and most prestigious air dock of the state. Has air ship and other more expensive vehicle rentals. -To be added upon

Name: Lily Carnation Age: 30 Gender: Dame Race/species: Human Description: A tall woman, just over 6 feet, with pale skin and long red hair that falls wildly down to the small of her back. Usually seen wearing practical, dark clothing, except for a white, but usually stained with something, doctors coat. Always has some sort of flower weaved into the mess that is her hair. Personality: An awkward woman around things that aren't corpses or plants, she would prefer to spend all her time in the relative safety of the morgue. Because of how often she has to leave to deal with problem though, she has the worried, put upon temperament of someone who wants no trouble yet inevitably gets dragged into some. She doesn't do empathy very well, and has no sense whether or not something is appropriate to say. She becomes extremely animated when one of her interests is presented to her, and latches onto it with gusto and never lets go. Powers/abilities: Lily has been able to talk to plants ever since she was a young girl. This has been a boon to both her job and keeping her safe from a few of the more violent plant varieties of Pyrrhic. Skills: Lily works as a coroner in the city morgue. Point her at a body and she'll be able to tell you how, when, and why that person died. As a hobby, she also practices chemistry and botany which allows her to craft special bullets. She's not quite a crack shot, but she can do pretty well for herself in a gun battle. Other: In a city like Pyrrhic just because you put a stiff on a slab is no guarantee that it'll stay there. Corpses get up and walk out of the morgue on a regular basis, and Lily just can not be having with that. When that happens she packs up her things, puts her guns in her pockets, and sets out into the city after it. She has involved herself in more than a few strange cases as she follows that trail of a renegade corpse off to finish some earthly business, but she always gets her body in then end. Usually after foiling some shady plot. Since you can't just bring a zombie down with small arms fire she employs special bullets containing seeds for a plant called Creeper. Creeper is an incredibly virulent parasitic plant. Though it takes a while for it to grow in a living being, long enough that the person can get it surgically of magically removed, Creeper grows very quickly in corpses walking or otherwise and will devour a zombie in no time at all, leaving only a bed of beautiful multicolored flowers. She carries a separate gun specially for firing these bullets she calls The Sprouter.

He is opinionated, blunt and to the point. All of this is amplified by his addiction to various drugs most of which involve hallucination. He isn't one to become friends with someone who he considers to be a 'square' and is usually seen around the sort of 'swingers' of the city. Powers/abilities: He is a Saboscrivner, but in a slightly different way. While if he ever did write about food it would make you taste it just like any old Saboscrivner his writing can also make you feel whatever feeling he describes in his writing. Appearance: Name: Benjamin Rokeby Age: 28 Gender: Male Race/species: Human Personality: Benjamin is an erratic type of person. His mind moves in strange ways and is possessed of the killer combination of morbid curiosity and an obsessive personality. His one consuming passion is the drive to experience everything, which more often than not he'll willing let override any common sense. Overall his disposition is a double edged sword for Benjamin, letting him see opportunity in everything, but often obscuring the costs. Powers/abilities: 1. The Maw: A fleshy tendril extends from Benjamin's anatomy with a wide, fanged mouth at the apex. Benjamin can use the tendril to consume up to 150kg of any inanimate object in one sitting. Once consumed Lucan learns everything that happened to the object in the last 3 days, as well as understanding the chemical composition of the object. The Maw requires 10 minutes/kg consumed to digest before the next sitting. Benjamin suspects it is some kind of supernatural parasite, however the maw has proven uncooperative in his attempts to discern its secrets. While it can normally be controlled completely, like another limb, it seems to retract when he tries to investigate its biology. 2. Voodoo: Benjamin is taking lessons under a Voodoo queen, in return for his help in having the previous occupant of the position arrested, in his extremely limited pool of free time. Do far he has only managed to acquire the most basic skills, tracking someone by making a voodoo doll using a high quality sample of their DNA, increasing hid luck in an extremely minor way or making particularly potent alcoholic beverages. Skills: Benjamin is an intelligence special agent for the dome of protectors. He gathers information on anything from murders and hold-ups to drugs trafficking and extra terrestrial terrorism threats. He enjoys his job for the myriad and of opportunities it gives him to indulge his passion for the unique and the interesting. His innate gift of the maw makes him extremely adept at his job and acts to make up for the times he gets a little too involved. However intelligence gathering on crime is not an activity that the Modacci are particularly fond of. Benjamin is sure that he would have been found garrotted in his home years ago if it weren't for the fact that he's more than willing to supplement his income in a less than ethical way. For the right price Benjamin is more than willing to use his ability to make evidence disappear. He'll dispose of anything from whole bodies to incriminating documents in a very permanent fashion. A job that makes him worth letting live for the Modacci. As a special agent Benjamin is competent with knives and guns, but he's not anything special in combat. His main skills as an agent are an intimate knowledge of forensic science, legal loopholes and less than pleasant interrogation techniques.

Most of her business occurs there, whether it be raising the price of a fake diamond to fifty thousand, or selling a minor flour and lying it was drugs, of even making unsavory deals with the Modacci.
