So, the other day I was going through some of the old threads when something extremely interesting came up. The thread has been dead for a year, the creator "Offline since relaunch" but I really really wanted to do a reboot of what they started. I was wondering if it would be okay that I took their thread and tried a reboot of it, or at least find someone that would, because I am no never near capable of being GM. Of course I would give them credit and link to the original thread, but I did not want to break any rules or "step on any toes", so I will ask just to be on the safe side. The RP never launched so it isn't exactly a reboot. It gets a little tricky when you are using text you do not have permission to use. How much of the information in the OP is original work, how much is made by the GM? Typically if the idea is general enough you can adapt it to your own ideas and make it your own, but if you are copying and pasting their work, that's not so cool, that's plagiarism. So if you feel like you can use it as inspiration and make it your own, go for it. But if what you are after is picking up where he/she left off best not use it. Especially as one of the GMs last posts is mentioning a wish to re-start it at some point. So tldr, be patient or be inspired, don't copy.
