Kalinda smiled, but when the elevator opened, revealing the scene of the two dogs, she let out a sigh. "Well. At least he'll get tired" She said, watching them for a moment, and indeed, Cooper did appear to be getting tried, his speed slowly, tongue lolling out. He stumbled, but got back up. He was adorable. She suspected he would always be so, no matter how big he got. Well, as long as her training could make him a good guard dog, that was all that matter. She dodged the dogs, and went over to her pack, having not taking it anywhere yet, rubbing her eyes. She checked her cell phone, but surprisingly there was nothing from her mother. She didn't think much off it, and put it back in her pack, looking over to Michael.

Michael shrugged to that, side stepping as the dogs rushed past him. "Haley will make sure he gets tired I can give you that," he went over to kalinda. "You can sleep in one of the spare bedrooms or in mine whichever I don't really mind which kali it's just good to have you back." He sighed, "though with everything's that's happened I'm happy that you came back though." A smile gradin his lips, just before he was tackled to the floor by his dog getting licked in the face. "Awww....Hal.....I said not....the face."

"But it's such a yummy face, who could blame her?" The words were out of Kalinda's mouth before she could stop them, before she was even aware she had thought them. Which made her realise how tired she was. She rubbed her eyes, "god, that just came out" She was surprised at the heat flushing her cheeks, and bent down to scoop up Cooper, the puppy settling easily in the crook of her arm and falling asleep. She watched him for a moment, before looking to Michael and Hayley. She smiled, it was just such a cute picture. She just stood there, watching them, Cooper a warm ball in her arms, "I never had any choice but to come back"

Michael laughed, before raising an eyebrow to Kali's words. Getting up and wiping the slobber from his shirt, as he watched Haley clime up the stairs into her little room she had claimed as her own. Before turning his gaze back to kalinda, "come on you need sleep plus we got a big few days ahead of us." With that, he took her free arm, guiding her toward his room. He didn't care if she was going to protest, she seemed better at getting through nightmares by just hearing his voice he had done it a couple of times. When she had nightmares, she usually crawled into bed with him and he would just soothe her with his words till she relaxed.

Kalinda didn't argue, just let Michael walk her to his room. She didn't seem to even notice that Cooper was still in her arms, but she placed him down when they were in Micheal's room, and wriggled out of her jacket, her shirt, to sleep in the support tank she typically wore underneath. It was nice to be taken care off, and Kalinda had missed it. she turned, gave Micheal a kiss, and then crawled into the bed, under the blankets, untying her hair as she did so, and curled up slightly, eyes already closed, but she wasn't yet asleep, knowing she would sleep better with Micheal beside her.

Michael smiled slightly, before sitting on the bed. Pulling off his boots, then his jacket setting it on the nightstand next to the bed. Before taking off his shirt, lying down next to her. Putting his arm around her waist, pulling her closer to him. He watched Kalinda's figure, though he didn't know how many nights she had to deal with the dream filled nightmares. Shaking his head to get that thought out of his head, sighing as he ran his fingers through her hair. "Sleep well kali," he whispered it in her ear before finally closing his eyes.

Kali feel asleep with a smile, feeling happy and safe. She was asleep within moments, and seemed to sleep well, until the last hour or so. Her body tensed, but she didn't wake. Cooper struggled up onto the bed, and began licking her face, with a whine. She didn't wake. She made distressed sounds, automatically moving closer towards Michael, and seemed to relax slightly, some part of her knowing that she was safe. Cooper still tried to lick her awake. She wrenched herself out of the dream, head pounding with the beat of her heart, which pounded hard in her chest. "Not bad, not bad. Not real" She whispered to herself. She ran her hands over her face, encountering Cooper. She stroked his head, earning a lick on her hand. "I'm okay"

Michael looked at Kali's shaking form, already awake the same nightmare seemed to get him out of his sleeping though he got enough sleep to where he could get through the day. Sitting up, resting his hand on her back. "Are you alright?" His voice was quiet yet firm still trying to get them images of him falling out of his mind. He knew most of the answer to the person that person didn't feel close to. Though he knew otherwise, though with Kalinda he knew her to well to say he was ok after waking up in cold sweat.

Kalinda let herself calm, safe with Michael. She closed her eyes for a moment. "Do you know, I fear drowning? And a coma is like drowning. You can hear things, but you can't do anything. You can't react. it feels like suffocation. And now I have those memories with me, and I can keep them at bay, keep them away when awake. But you can't when your asleep. You just can't" She swallowed, and opened her eyes, looking over to him. "Are you alright?" She asked, studying him. She shifted, Cooper giving a yip, and laid a hand on one of his cheeks. "you're clammy"

Michael leaned his head into her touch, "not really a year back I was sent to deal with a deal. Something fury didn't want to get his hands dirty with he sent me in, there was a bomb the thing had no wires and I had to carry the thing away from the city. I.....didn't drop it fast enough it exploded on me. My suit was torn away from certain parts of my body still have the burn mark, anyway I was falling and when I fall asleep it feels like I'm redoing everything." He sighed, they weren't as rough with Kalinda by his side. That didn't matter he still had them, he didn't even know if he could escape from them that was the question for him could he? Michael didn't know, he closed his eyes still knowing some sweat from the nightmare still clung to him.

Something else Fury needed to pay for. He was sure building that list, Kalinda thought. But for now it was time to sooth and be soothed. She shifted closer to Michael, leaning against him, just taking the time to make them both feel better. "It's okay" she said softly, After a few moments, she sighed softly and made to get up. "I'll see about breakfast. We all need food after all." She picked up Cooper, the puppy wriggling, desperately trying to lick her again. She smiled, and stroked him. "You might just make a good guard dog get" she said with amusement

Michael nodded as she got up, rubbing his face lightly. Getting to his feet, grabbing a shirt from his dresser and taking off the one he was wearing. Old burn marks were visible across his skin, he put on the black one watching as Haley bumped into his leg for food. "Alright girl alright your getting impatient." He rubbed her head, putting down food and water on the floor for her to eat. "Whose a good dog," Hal barked in response making a smile spread across his lips.

Kalinda was in the kitchen, changing her shirt, and already had eggs cooking on the stove as Michael fed Haley. Cooper looked eagerly at the food, and Kalinda aimed a finger at himm to stop him attacking the food. "Not yours. Big dog food. You need puppy food" He looked at her almost begging, and she rolled her eyes, but leaving the eggs on low, she grabbed the food she had packed for him, and gave it too him. "Demanding dog" She muttered, but with amusement, looking about, she said "I wonder when the others will come down"

Michael slightly laughed looking at cooper, "poor dog he has to wait a little longer." He heard footsteps upstairs, "by my guess there already awake." He yawned slightly, he wasn't that tired but he was still tired from the rough night he had. Petting Haley's head before walking fully into the kitchen. Grabbing sausage from the ridge and putting it on the counter. A sighescaped his lips, "you know actually two years after you left my dad tried to get me dates every time I bailed by just flying her the city.

"i'm sure they will come down soon" Kalinda said with amusement, "For the bacon if nothing else" She said with a laugh, turning to put some bread on to Toast, she dodged Cooper with an ease that told this wasn't the first time she had done it. He gave a whine as he realised he didn't know where his leash was, and looked at her questionly. "Walk later" She nudged him gently, and began dishing up food, looking over as Michael spoke. "I'm sure your dad was just worried about you" She said softly

Michael shrugged slightly, sighing softly. "He was though sometimes I think he was trying to make up for the lost ears with me." Swallowing slightly, "he did make it up to me though, but I was waiting and waiting throughout the years for you to come back I never really despised you my mind and heart wouldn't let me." Walking over to kalinda, he rested his head on her shoulder. "More than anything Kali I missed you more than anything in this world and I would've done anything to have you back by my side through those lost years." Closing his eyes, and just taking in her presence. "I am not letting you go again not now and not ever."

Kalinda slid her arms around michael, happy and content for the moment. She disliked thinking about the last years. But it was good tk think of it, even if it was upsetting. Still, all that matter was that they were together again. "I wish I could say I didnt or don't despise myself. I should have had the guts to stay, to tell you, to do anything other then run away. But I didnt, and I hurt you" she said softly She drew in a breath, "I'm not going to go away again" not by her choice, at least. And she would do everything to make sure that it stayed her choice. She suddenly chickled and said "On the force, or whenever I went out, I had to put out that I was into women to avoid being asked out by Men. I don't know if I fooled away, but after kicking a guys butt, they backed off"

Michael chuckled to that, and shrugged. "Though can't say you won't kick my ass for doing something stupid, but it is still funny." His arms were around her waist, "just to think our biggest problem we had to worry about was grades now look at us." A sigh escaped his lips, "still can't believe how many years have passed with everything that has happened." Connor came down the stairs, hearing Michael he put himself against the wall looking around the corner. To see kalinda in Michael's arms, he knew Michael would be able to have her back after talking to her. With that he went to the living room.

"You worried about grades? I never much cared about them. I think I was more focused on just getting through it" Kalinda said amusingly, then sighed softly, and rested against Michael for a moment, just letting herself relax for a few seconds, before shifting, and turning the stove off, so the eggs wouldn't burn. "A lot has happened. A lot is going to happen" She was surprised at herself, surprised that she actually felt afraid, with what they were going to do with SHIELD. She wasn't nervous about it, but...she didn't want to lose everything again. Hannah trotted down the stairs as well, stopping when Connor did. She blinked, but followed him to the living room, "There was food! Why are we walking away from food?"

Connor raised an eyebrow, "and I thought I loved food anyway Michael and kalinda are in there I'm already guessing they made up yesterday. With how everything's going in there." Michael shrugged, "meh I wasn't really worried about them with how smart I am and everything." He closed his eyes just taking in her presence, he was glad to have her back by his side.
